I'm running 6.4, any suggestions? jonnyb: remove done thanks changi - index rebuilding... need to go hi ggpigg - what sort of "pictures"? in file galleries? yes at first I just tried to append them from my machine into the blog but that doesn't work either and when you say "access rights" you mean permissions? (or the file gallery settings?) yes so anonymous has tiki_p_download? yes I even went through each group one by one but had no luck let me try the tiki_p_download one more time and are there special perms on the gallery they're in? or the blog? (or a category any of those are in) There are no special perms on the gallery, in fact I wanted them as open as possible I ended up loading into the gallery, I thought this would be easier to post into the blog here is the url - http://linuxbasix.com/tiki-view_blog.php?blogId=2 This is on the front page I just found out the issue Hey Alden In the gallery permissions there is a checkbox to check perms on the gallery. It was unchecked and now the picture shows I'm guessing I just needed to talk this out with someone, thanks jonnyb! no problem ggpigg, too many checkboxes! :) no doubt, I appreciate taking the time to troubleshoot tikiwiki: 03sylvieg * r38453 10/trunk/lib/categories/categlib.php: oops typo Polom hi Jyhem_laptop I play with edition on demo.to/8x and it's a depressing sight :-( oh? codemirror stuff? It seems that wiki syntax is not parsed at all. Codemirror does not seem to be active, BTW See http://demo.tiki.org/8x/tiki-index.php?page=New+page+en !title just shows up as !title, no layout, no parsing, nothing coo - not seen that before I guess codemirror is optional and not active, but basic wiki syntax should not be optional :-) well feature_wiki is optional but it is enabled there (no idea what happens if you switch it off!) I have switched it off before, and the wiki syntax still worked where it needed to (blogs, etc) there are a couple of odd notices about WikiParser.php and there's an odd white line at the top of the page above the header probably needs svn up and setup.sh running (it's an odd server that one) I wonder about the shape of demo.to/8x Yesterday, it did not even have any modules in the left and right panels. Olaf and myself put them back. Maybe the whole config needs to be reset. Or we might want to figue out why unparsed wiki is even possible before resetting in an ideal world, yes (but i wouldn't be working on a sunday also ;) ) Isn't demo.to the server for testing tiki 8 ? I test stuff with translations and wysiwyg with Olaf-Michael, so Tiki8 handles that nicely and dev.to is not the appropriate platform for that (no wysiwyg, no translation module) nice to hear can *you* do this svn up + setup.sh routine ? I have no ssh access to there (was hoping you had that... ok, will do) ask Marc, i'm sure he'd like that too :) marclaporte: ping lib/setup/user_prefs.php seems to be modified there, but i can't see how it would disable wiki syntax just a line of commented debugging code reverted (to avoid conflicts) so there is some pref combination which breaks things up, maybe can't image how! from the php errors it looks like the parser is messed up ah, maybe it's trying to use the new experimental parser? codemirror ? no, even more experimental!! (that's supposedly stable) the jison wiki parser on admin/textarea it's switched on (demo/8.x svn up'ed and setup done) feature_jison_wiki_parser off now, should be ok again ahhhhh, I was looking at the features page and not seeing anything strange oh joy - just found a killer bug in articles :( tikiwiki: 03jonnybradley * r38454 10/branches/8.x/lib/articles/artlib.php: [FIX] articles: Set $sort_mode to default sort if empty (which is the default for the articles plugin) to stop the main query failing jonnyb: interested in another blocker ? oh joy! :D (actually i think i've found another one, you first!) On demo.to/8x, go to page http://demo.tiki.org/8x/tiki-index.php?page=wysiwyg+page+en and ask to translate it either the "translate" button below or he drop-down will do Then choose any language (fr & de already taken) and a page name for a new translation just did norwegian html is showing? after a while, you get a diff edition with no way to scroll on the right html is showing is a second blocker, less critical first issue is, how do users scroll down to the "save" uttons ? *buttons hmm, my screen was big enough we are on laptops :-( is it worse than in 7.x? (probably not actually a blocker then imho) We don't have any experience on 7.x think there's a relatively easy fix in toggleFullScreen (in tiki-jquery.js) polom hi chealer jonnyb: same issue in demo.to/7x hi jonnyb, Jyhem_laptop But the issue with displaying the html code is not there in 7x because it sensibly created the new translation of the wysiwyg page in wysiwyg hi chealer tikiwiki: 03jonnybradley * r38455 10/branches/8.x/lib/jquery_tiki/tiki-jquery.js: [FIX] textarea: Make sure scrollbars can appear when in fullscreen, especially in translation editing mode (thanks Jyhem) that should help updating :-) wysiwyg has got quite confused in 8 sadly hmm, seems for me if i login with the wrong password is says i logged in ok :( hence the testing jonnyb: you migt already have been logged in ? seems only to be on one (client) site will ignore for now hi chealer, Jyhem_laptop, jonnyb ... and everyone else who's lurking hi kstingel does anyone happen to know if there's anything I need to set to grant checkout access on sf? kstingel: i think there's a place you have to choose svn, cvs, git etc - probably htere hi kstingel I've already opted for SVN .... and changi has set up an svn:external link within Tiki for me, I was just wondering if I needed to specifically set anything so I could allow everyone to checkout no idea about that anyone want to test it for me? https://tiki2epub.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/tiki2epub seems to browse ok... opened outline.txt jonnyb: I tried it on our site and we saw no difference :-( kstingel: checked out fine thanks jonnyb, haven't put much up yet .... just trying to get things working properly, is first sf Project I've created reading thru doc.tiki.org, I see that Tiki8 is able to move image files from the default "img/wiki_up" directory to the file gallery .... where would that be located? .... and how hard would it be to copy to instead ? filegal files are either in the database or a directory somewhere you specify in my local tikis, the parent file gallery is directing to /files/ ... can I create sub-galleries under there? i am continuing to have difficulty using a desktop blogger software and be able to connect to tikiwiki….anyone have any success with this? no, they all go in the same place and images are stored in a directory (currently /img/wiki_up) should i set RSS on site to Atom 1 instead of RSS 2.0? sorry jcyrisse, don;t really know - i saw some code in there about this but it was a very ancient feature (tiki 1.0), almost certainly broken i'd imagine :( kstingel: pre tiki 3ish wiki images were in img/wiki_up so, probably, are aggregators? or import of RSS feeds into articles? might explain why they look "bad" tikiwiki: 03jonnybradley * r38456 10/branches/8.x/lib/jquery_tiki/tiki-jquery.js: [FIX] textarea: Make sure scrollbars can appear when in fullscreen take 2 to cope with wysiwyg better (thanks again Jyhem) aggregators should be better, just not pretty my earliest Tiki is 6.x .... I didn't bother with the earlier versions as they are no longer (actively) maintained .... and tracing paths thru Tiki 6, 7 & 8 keeps me busy enough you should be using file galleries already then I am, but up to now I've been using them blind ... in order to copy images from wiki pages for inclusion in the ePub directory, I need to know the default location to find the images tikiwiki: 03jonnybradley * r38457 10/branches/8.x/templates/tiki-edit_translation.tpl: [FIX] translations: JS like this needs notonready=true kstingel: you should parse the pages {img} plugins to find the image src, i think or would I be better served to just use dlXXX where XXX = the id number of the image? not sure - that would "download" the file, you can use displayXXX to display them (fullsize) or thumbnailXXX for thumbs I'm currently working on the premise that I need to convert the current HTML5 into XHTML 1.1 so Sigil can read it, I can do that via a Smarty Template .... Sigil would then pull displayXXX into the ePub Images directory upon reading the page ... are you working with Carsten (coaboa)? he's got much of this working already i believe as long as the tag is set ... which could also be forced via Smarty I'm not working with anyone yet ... I've added Ricks99 to the project, because I'm testing against Tiki for Smarties ... hoping to (semi) automate the process of publishing Smarties for Tiki 7.x we had some discussions about this in Boston earlier this year, Carsten and Rick were there I'm gradually pulling his content into a local Tiki and then trying to write code that will produce a tidier ePub than the one he currently has available via scribd .... conceptually, I don't have a problem with plugin placeholders, but when the icon gets blown up to cover half a page, that's just ugly ... and I can be a pedantic little shyte with tunnel vision once I have an idea for a fix :D once I get the script working, I'm gonna try and ePublify http://doc.tiki.org .... just for my own offline use initially, but if I get it to work I'm happy to share Does soembody know how to use the category manipulator..
