does anyone use a blog editor such as Qumana or ecto to blog to Tikiwiki? i am having difficulty setting them up to work with my tikiwiki site. i currently use 6.4, but going to upgrade to 7.2….any tips for how to setup a mobile blog tool to work?

i am having a time trying to figure out some image permissions. I have an image on home page of site, that I want annoymous users to see, but i can't seem to get the permissions correct…it is only registered which it shows

navigate to 'db' folder, and delete the "lock" file :)
then re-run tiki-install.php

mrkcc: depending on the type of install (live or local) ... use file-manager (or FTP) to view your files and click into the 'db' folder ....
and then you have to do, I have a hosting
mrkcc: you will see a file named "lock" with no file extension ... delete that file, you should now be able to run tiki-install.php again

I was looking to write a Tiki specific script, I've created the folder for it under "users/kstingel" but as yet I only have the concept outlined .... any collaborators are most welcome ;)
at present, the main problem with the online ePublisher sites is that they don't remove javascript objects .... instead they just insert a plugin image ... I'm trying to produce sanitized pages ready for compilation

changi|ready: if I've downloaded Tiki tags and branches from SVN with "omit externals", do I need to create a mapping file to tell Tiki where the files can be found? ... or will TortoiseSVN automatically pull them from /third-party/ when I export?
... I have my SVN checkouts on an external drive, hence the space saving use of omit externals ... I just update the third-party folder as I need to

good morning all, I have a weird rights issue on my pictures.  I set the access globally to allow anonymous users to see pictures I post on my blog but only registered users see them when logged in.  I'm running 6.4, any suggestions?

I have switched it off before, and the wiki syntax still worked where it needed to (blogs, etc)
there are a couple of odd notices about WikiParser.php
and there's an odd white line at the top of the page above the header
probably needs svn up and setup.sh running (it's an odd server that one)
I wonder about the shape of demo.to/8x Yesterday, it did not even have any modules in the left and right panels. Olaf and myself put them back. Maybe the whole config needs to be reset.

I test stuff with translations and wysiwyg with Olaf-Michael, so Tiki8 handles that nicely and dev.to is not the appropriate platform for that (no wysiwyg, no translation module)

filegal files are either in the database or a directory somewhere you specify

my earliest Tiki is 6.x .... I didn't bother with the earlier versions as they are no longer (actively) maintained .... and tracing paths thru Tiki 6, 7 & 8 keeps me busy enough

I'm currently working on the premise that I need to convert the current HTML5 into XHTML 1.1 so Sigil can read it, I can do that via a Smarty Template .... Sigil would then pull displayXXX into the ePub Images directory upon reading the page ...

conceptually, I don't have a problem with plugin placeholders, but when the icon gets blown up to cover half a page, that's just ugly

Does soembody know how to use the category manipulator.. I want to add one ctegory to an objevt - but I can not figure out how to keep the old categories
