sorry wrong box Jyhem_laptop: Hi Pascal, I was wondering myself. Did you guys switch to winter time this past week-end ? Or is it "the week of missed intercontinental business meetings" ? :-) chealer: polom
Jyhem_laptop: we switch in November now Jyhem_laptop: This lack of synchronicity is nothing new, I remember missed meeting between Strasbourg and Kanata in a previous life about ten years ago. I was kind of hoping that common sense would have kicked in since then... I am too naive :-)
Oh well, no big deal :-) CIA-12: tikiwiki: 03lphuberdeau * r38600 10/trunk/ (5 files in 4 dirs): [MOD] Basic interface for AJAX tracker item insert and complete permission verification rodrigoprimo: polom
I'm updating an old Tiki 2 to Tiki 6. most of the wiki pages use HTML. after I did the upgrade those pages are displayed but the line breaks are ignored by the parser. anyone has any idea or experienced this before? something changed between those two versions related with the way the parser deal with line breaks?
strangely the line breaks are rendered correctly when viewing the wiki page content via tiki-pagehistory.php but not via tiki-index.php ***: ricks99 has quit IRC (Quit: Get the best-selling Tiki books (paperback and ebook) at http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/ricks99) chealer: hi rodrigoprimo. that rings a bell rodrigoprimo: chealer: I don't know if it helps you remember more about it but I discovered that tiki-pagehistory.php uses $tikilib->parse_data directly while tiki-index.php uses WikiRenderer class. this is creating the difference. chealer: rodrigoprimo: see http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.cms.tiki.cvs/65615
rodrigoprimo: which exact version are you upgrading to? rodrigoprimo: chealer: 6.4 chealer: rodrigoprimo: my fix should be in 6.4
rodrigoprimo: hum, r35384 says it backports it, but it does not in reality
there were more votes against it than for
rodrigoprimo: so I guess you just need to apply r34956 rodrigoprimo: chealer: I confirm that in my case r34956 fixes the problem
chealer: I will apply the patch locally since others have pointed that it is likely to break the page layout in other setups
chealer: looks like it is a lot of effort to create a solution that will work in all possible cases
bbl
chealer: thanks a lot for your help chealer: rodrigoprimo: it's working fine for 7.x for months so I don't think it breaks much, I guess it's more about avoiding regressions
although the fix does avoid a regression itself :-S rodrigoprimo: rodrigoprimo: without the information you provide me I would have spend a few hours debugging to understand the problem
chealer: I agree with you but at the same time I don't know what other possible cases this fix break. chealer: I did spend a few hours on it :-) rodrigoprimo: :)
chealer: I will send an email on that thread reporting my case chealer: same thing, that's why I waited a month to do it... rodrigoprimo: chealer: if it is working well on 7.x maybe now we have enough elements to propose the backport to 6.x again chealer: rodrigoprimo: feel free. there was one vote for and 3 against ***: pascalstjean has left
