Is there a fix for the spreadsheet on version 8.3 compared to 8.2??
xavi: hi Loll78: fix for what in the spreadsheet?
Loll78: xavi: I have the version 8.2 and I am not able to edit any spreadsheet
xavi: mmm
are you admin on that site?
Loll78: yes
xavi: I would say , try to reproduce your problem in http://demo.tiki.org (8x)
and if you can't reproduce the error, I would say that you just need to upgrade your site to latest 8.3
and in any case, in fact, I would say, upgrade to 8.3 (which has bug fixes since 8.2, etc)
Loll78: for the tokenkey menu I will also need to upgrade, the question is only how fast I should do it.
xavi: how fast? how fast do you want your fixes in your site? :-)
Loll78: that depends if one sees and needs the differences. as it would be my first upgrade I'm a little hesitant
(never changing a running system)
on the demo site I can not reproduce the error (I have also checked the permissions settings), so I think it would be perhaps a corrupted 8.2 installation on my system

xavi: Loll78: upgrade to 8.3 (easy, safe, ...)
https://doc.tiki.org/Upgrade
Loll78: xavi: I alreday have read it. I will make a backup of the database, a copy of the file, then erase all the files (i'm not able to make a parallel installation) and upload the new files
but perhaps I shouldn't delete my uploaded files.
xavi: Loll78: :-) for minor upgrades like yours (from 8.2 to 8.3, it's usually not needed to do a separate install)
don't delete anything, just install over existing
whenever you want to change to 9.x (whenever it's released, etc) it's way much safer/better to do the full upgrade on a separate install, etc.
you always make a copy of your db, just in case, even if 95% of the times you will not use it later
are you using ftp?
Loll78: xavi: and in the case of a major upgrade, which files/directories could I leave on the server (do to the server I can not make a separate installation)
yes, i'm using filezilla
xavi: why you can't make separate installation? limited space on disk?
Loll78: but i'm not using ssh, I will do the db backup on the web-interface
xavi: db backup is fine (anyhow)
Loll78: the actual installation is in a directory <server>/tiki
and I have only access to /tiki
xavi: ok, I understand
Loll78: it makes no sense if i do now the separate installation in <server>/tiki/tiki8.3/
xavi: yes, you are right
Loll78: whenever you want to do a major upgrade, and if you are unsure, just follow the advice under the doc.t.o/Upgrade page
you can see there which folders need to be re-uploaded after the upgrade
so you can (if you prefer) keep just those in the server, etc.
Loll78: xavi: I haven't seen on that page a list of folders which one needs to reupload after the upgrade
-: xavi checking...
xavi: oups, you are right...
...let me find the page for you...
Loll78: the "manual upgrade" page contains very few information too

xavi: well, you wib, Loll78, it's not written. I'll write a few lines (thanks for noticing that missing info in the docs pages) :-)
-: xavi (lazy) writing something
Loll78: but the main informations are anyhow on the main upgrade page
xavi: aha, found it! see this: https://doc.tiki.org/Upgrade#Fresh_install
I knew that was written somewhere
Loll78: ^
Loll78: that's the usual problem of much information... one can find that one searches
xavi: Loll78: if you can figure out how to improve, please do so :-)
summarize, split in pages, etc. (if you know what you are doing, please do it!)
Loll78: I have the same problem on my site. Up to now I haven't had an idea of organizing the information through the different pages.
Recommendation: Uniform the code for internal links. Now there exists (at least) two codes: ((Page)) and [Page#Heading]

I'm using "plugin tracker" in a wiki page. I want to put in a default value using the "value" tag but it doesn't work. Any ideas?
Loll78: How to setup the page contributors (like on the tiki page) on the own tiki installation??
xavi: Josh__: read the documentation pages about this plugin: http://doc.tiki.org/PluginTracker
Loll78: ensure that you have all files with enough perms
set them to 777 if needed in the server
Loll78: about page contributors: which tiki page?
Josh__: I also read: http://doc.tiki.org/Plugin+Tracker+Advanced#Setting_default_values_for_the_tracker_form_. but it doesn't work.
xavi: and in any case, read the docs pages related to contributors: http://doc.tiki.org/Contribution and http://doc.tiki.org/Contributions+by+author
Josh__: no idea for the advanced thing. Ask in the users list if not enough feedback here, I would say
or try the tw forums
see you all
