fabricius: how do you mean that Q ?
[0:9]
fabriciushi
what luciash ? ... was afIRC concentrating on prezitation tools and frameworks
what you are referring onto luciash ?
misstyped Jquery? jquery? JQuery?
[0:11]
luciashfabricius: i was referring to 20:39
Q as in Question
[0:35]
fabriciusfabricius is checking
ah
I did not mean SVN <- misstyped, I did mean -> SVG
I am working on prezitations
researching and testing
[0:35]
luciashah SVG, well, i have some knowledge but depends ... [0:38]
fabriciusJessyInk and Sozi for Inkscape, dizzy.js, impress.js, jmpress.js, zoomooz - maybe I need some advice or discussion with a coder who has some experience
ideas are related with including s.th. to slideshows or connect with draw or whatsoever route to implement prezi like behaviour/features/design/effects in Tiki
offline / online editing - I am collecting information, have a close look at apps and frameworks, but i am not a coder

hey marclaporte : impress.js and jmpress.js may be interesting, whilst impress seems to use tooo modern functions of CSS 3 and HTML5
thhttp://www.ohloh.net/p/dizzyjs SVG approach seems to be not so suitable (still testing) and dizzy.js is not developed since a year and very basic in functionality
oops my f*** keyboard - or I have too fat fingers
I meant the SVG approach (JessyInk and Sozi and partwise dizzy.js)
e-mail to the list will follow pretty soon, not yet tested everything

marclaportefabricius: put all those links on a wiki page!
http://shama.github.com/jmpress.js/#/home looks awesome!
[1:43]
fabriciusI will do so ... all day researching and testing since saturday [1:43]
marclaporte+1 to use modern browser features, as it rewards the good browsers and puts pressure on the others
yay!
[1:43]
fabricius-1 to make a website that locks out more than 50% of potential visitors [1:44]
marclaporteI see this as an extension to S5 Slideshow
For old browsers, we just fall back to S5
[1:44]
fabriciusbut anyway, I want to try the startpage(s) for wikiforyou with jmpress
an integration of jmpress into tiki might be an idea, what do you think?
we need to check with a few coders, if it would be possible to make kind of a GUI with Tiki
spontaneus idea: making the views with wikipages
similar than a menupage module
[1:45]
marclaportebrowser support as reported is pretty good: https://github.com/shama/jmpress.js [1:47]
fabriciusyes, much better than impress - as BartoSzopka is especially focussed on the new features of css3 and html5 and does not want to use jquery for impress
that's why they forked jmpress
[1:48]
marclaporteimpressive! http://manuelt.com/#/bored [1:50]
fabriciusmarclaporte: referring to the branching discussion: I would say, that some stuff I leave with 9, but s.th. I should move further to pre-10, what you think? [1:51]
marclaporteAt this point, we are not supposed to add new features! [1:52]
fabriciusyes! ... just meaning, that the sites where I am supporting people, I will keep in 9 and some of my own stuff aswell, but maybe I should have a look, where I could move a site to pre-10
not new features
btw: http://manuelt.com/#/bored is made with impress - it seems to be a copy of BartoSzopka's demo
not working in FF8
but a website = prezitation ... if that was with less coding, like integrated in the cms
that would be cool
maybe for 10
what do you think?
Ok, downloaded jmpress.js and have the slides-website offline now ... trying to customise the content now
look here: http://janne.aukia.com/zoomooz/examples/isometric/index.html
zoomooz.js seems to be interesting aswell

hi there. first - thank a lot for this great free CMS
got 2 problems: 1st - how to disable the auto logout feature? i want to start tikiwiki when arriving at work and close it when leaving.
2nd: in case of auto logout while s/o is typing content into forum, wiki page or something else, a backup of this is made which the user can re-use after logging back into the system. unfortunately "spaces" and (german) special character. are transformed to %20 and so on... how to avoid this?
hope you can help me

Jyhem_laptopHmm, in trunk, I just created a tracker with an auto-increment field. It always takes 0 as a value :-( [17:22]
jonnybew - was working a while back [17:23]
Jyhem_laptoplet me try in demo.tiki.org [17:25]
Definitely 0 :-( → http://demo.tiki.org/trunk/tiki-view_tracker.php?trackerId=11
I need to get a demo rolling. I can't hunt that down (and I don't need the auto-inc for the demo). :-(
[17:31]
jonnybsorry - also busy, maybe later [17:34]
Jyhem_laptopI don't think I misconfigured something (very little configuration, actually)
FOUND something !
[17:34]
jonnybhmm? [17:40]
Jyhem_laptopI just figured it out
When the "Start" parameter is 0, the field does not auto-increment
[17:41]
jonnybnice
0's not a very kind number for an id
[17:42]
Jyhem_laptopSo we have 2 issues: 1/ This is not documented in the field creation text; 2/ the default value is 0 instead of 1 [17:43]
jonnybgood catch, will try and fix later [17:44]
Jyhem_laptopWell, maybe someone felt we would want to have the opportunity of non-incrementing incremental fields, but it should not be the default :-)
Jyhem_laptop wonders what happens with negative "start" field
Doesn't work. or I should have done it first.
now it just auto-increments
Do we have an import possibility for a bunch of tracker entries ?
[17:44]
jonnybyes, there's import tracker items [17:54]
Jyhem_laptopAhh, found it
It's these icons in the list view of trackers
And it worked flawlessly at the first attempt, too. :-)
[17:54]
jonnybyay! (have done quite a bit of work in there recently - my 12,000 item tracker gets totally re-imported from time to time from a custom shell script)
nice to hear it works for others! :)

Jyhem_laptopGood work, my 63 items are in. And I just tried the easiest way first: just the relevant fields. All the rest magically set itself in place :-)
OK, I see it also imported the empty line on the bottom. That was unnecessary :)

Good evening
i am looking for some advice in regards to some sort of " to do " lists
so i found this Task function which is a bit ... unhandy
so i might just miss somehting
but there is a " module " called " user_taks" which basicly allowes me to create some tasks, howerver i need to create them in this module and later on, modify them again
to make them ... for example visible for the group and stuff
is there any way to have this a bit more smooth implemented ?
i also looked into this " tracker " funktion .. but it seems way too heavy for the thing what i wanted to do
just simply have a list, to theck what needs to be done and what has been done
[19:40]
NachoMahmaWill any of the calendar functions do what you want? [19:44]
jonnybhi anotherguy - i'd use a tracker if i was you - tasks are very old and somewhat unsupported these days [19:45]

thanks
will look into that

Jyhem_laptopHmmm, I want to copy a tracker from one server to another. I exported the tracker "structure" succesfully, but it does not contain the list of fields. The items export also does not seem to contain any information about the field types. I wonder how it could recreate the correct field types [20:14]

jonnybJyhem_laptop: you can export the tracker definition and all the fields from tracker admin - you have to copy and paste them in but it does work (eventually) [20:28]
Jyhem_laptopjonnyb: Thanks, I looked again and now I found this third export place → select fields and drop-down "export fields" [20:32]
jonnybthat's the one [20:33]
Jyhem_laptopVery confusing but it works perfectly :-) [20:34]
jonnybseems fairly logical to me - would be nice to have a sort of "export encapsulated tracker" function to do it all in one... [20:35]
ricks99joined #tikiwiki [20:37]
Jyhem_laptopWell, there is this tracker export pop-up which lets you export the structure and the items. The fields somewhat fit logically in between, but they are to be found somewhere else [20:37]
jonnybtrue - but they're found near the fields so it's sort of makes sense ;) [20:38]
Jyhem_laptopBut the fact that one can select the fields to export is also very handy [20:38]

they use IIS as server (causing file uploads to become application/octet-stream which is kinda stupid for images

JoernOttFor the fiist problem, there is a short fix, the second might be a bit more complex (tampering with parserlib to remove some additional blanks before maketoc). Where should I commit the fixes? in 8.x or rather in trunk and backport them after 8.4 release? [21:31]

JoernOttTorsten, As far as I have seen, there is some conversion being done when switching editors and there is some "handling" code where comments indicate that it is for headlines with maketoc and wysiwyg
