I just found about this feature collecting info about new features in Tiki9 (from the svn email list) and updating a bit the information in doc.t.o/tiki9
Jyhem: Ohh, thanks. Does it say "updatable" ? :-) /me reads
Ah no, it's the other direction of "updatable", more like "realtime up to date".
Is that the same as tracker reports ?
Or is it another feature ?

"nice": +1. whoever knows it, or can try it :-)
I can't right now. I just noticed about it, and told your about it, since I thought you would be interested to know more (as I am)
the little time I can give to Tiki today, is for searching info on new features in the svn list messages, and update the docs

hammer: still having encoding issues? why not simply leave it as latin (or whatever)?
jonnyb: if everyone helps out with it, yes! :D
hammer: if i leave it latin

hammer: i m getting some databse erros

ricks99: hammer: did you tell tiki that your db is not UTF?
-: ricks99 running several Tikis with non UTF dbs -- no issues
hammer: how do i tell ?
tiki
i made my databse using latin1
ricks99: theres an option on in the installer to force UTF -- leave disabled.
in your db/local.php, change the encoding to match your DB.
and I *think* there's one other in the admin: general page
check docs for details
hammer: in db/local.php
under v5
there is no charset
actually i tried
ricks99: o.. don't know about that far back.
hammer: latin1 with 6.6
i think it worked
not sure
i diod fast at home
yesterday
ricks99: i have sevral. works fine
hammer: i will try here
iso can i go
ricks99: in fact, Smartie (8.x) is non UTF
hammer: 2.2 to 6TLS
directly
-: ricks99 amazed that the Smarties DB has worked since 1.9
ricks99: hammer should be fine. on the installer DO NOT enable UTF
then, after the upgrade, manually change the local.php file to match your encoding
hammer: sure
should i go with 6 or 8 ?
ricks99: depends on ur requirements
hammer: I am gonna try
6 LTS
and get back to u
ricks99: k
hammer: i leave the new created databse default
right
default is latin
ricks99: don't create a new db. simply copy/duplicate your existing db.
this way your encoding is identical
hammer: really ?
never thought
ricks99: y
hammer: of that
i always create new db
ricks99: ok. just make sure your new db encoding is identical. and when your export/import, confirm that all encoding is same
-: ricks99 prefers the easy way
hammer: so i just copy my db folder from 2.2 and override the db folder
in 6.x
then run the installer
?
ricks99: no.....
1. duplicate your db
2. run the 6.6 installer
hammer: ohhh
i am on a different server
ricks99: 3. manually change your <TIKI 6>/ db/local.php file
db not required to be on same server. just enter the location in the installer
instead of localhost, add the location
hammer: can I duplicte trhough phpmyadmin
?
ricks99: depends on your phpadmin version
hammer: 2.11
ricks99: dont know. do you see it?
it is under operations on mine
hammer: there is an option
called copy datbase to
ricks99: ok
hammer: and different check boxes

Jyhem_laptop: the lower part with the count number & icon have no classes :-( I have no idea, apart from adding classes in the tpl
not even the tr has a class :-(
same issue with head line (with dates & icons). Sorry, no pure css solution :(
at least, not from me
xavi: maybe some class can be added to the tpl...
plus some way to allow showing dates in short format
or custom, anyway (not that looong format)
marclaporte: polom
xavi: Jyhem_laptop and RobertPlummer: I'm adding new classes: conveneHeader and conveneFooter (it's easy!, I had never done that)
