Hi all
I'm using tiki 6.3 and having problem with tracker filter
after the trackers filter return search result and if there is more than one page of result, i'm not able to view the result of second or next page.
not sure if the tiki 6.6 (LTS) had solved this bug or i need to upgrade to tiki 8
thanks in advance Jenser: joined #tikiwiki dialogik: joined #tikiwiki
hi, anyone has an idea how to link to windows shares in tiki8.3?
how do I internally link to structures (respectively to a subpage of a page) in tiki? redflo: joined #tikiwiki Jyhem: dialogik: a sub-page is still a page. You can link ((sub page name)) xavi: wslim: no idea how to fix, but I know a workaround that I'm using in 6.x: use param:
max="-1"
in plugin trackerfilter
^ wslim
hi Jyhem
wslim: this workaround lists all records in the results, without pagination
it can be slow, if there are many hundreds of records found (or thousands+), but it works dialogik: Jyhem: but what if I have two structures (structure1, structure2) each with a subpage named "subpage". then I would have structure1 > subpage and structure2 > subpage. how can I distinguish them? wslim: thanks xavi Jyhem: hi xavi
dialogik: I don't know. Maybe external links (the [...] ones). Do structures even allow you to have two different pages with the same name? dialogik: hi xavi btw
Jyhem: well I am using structures (maybe improperly) e.g. to organize business projects. when I want to structurize each project the same way (let's say into the subpages: project targets, project definition, project planning etc.) then I would use the same subpages for each project. (am I using structures in a wrong way here?) Jyhem: I'm not sure. I doubt it works just like that since structure only group exsiting pages. Maybe there's a way with perspectives/areas/workspaces but I'm not the right person to answer that dialogik: xavi: u got any idea? xavi: back
mmm
the simple way that we mere mortals use structures for projects and subprojects, etc. is by adding some prefix to each similar page
or suffix dialogik: you mean like project1 > project1:subpage and project2 > project2:subpage ? fidel: just as i am curious: is there any plan to offer tikiwiki in package form for some well-known linux-distris in the future? Jyhem: There are plans, but not priority ones. I suppose it will start with centos (rpm based) in the context of Tiki Suite ( http://suite.tiki.org ). Then debian-based should be easy to make xavi: dialogik: yes, something like this (I wonder if colon matters) fidel: thanks Jyhem Jyhem: Sorry: I mean clearos, not centos fidel: another question: if i start today with my first tikiwiki setup/test - i should go most likely with 8.3 - or would you suggest anything else version-wise? xavi: fidel: there was some version for debian years ago (tiki 3 afaik), but the maintainer of the package didn't maintain it that much more, I think
most basic work was done already by someone, as far as I remember
if you want to help to update the package for debian, we might dig in the email lists to give you pointeers of who to talk to fidel: hehe - interesting that you are guessing debian - which is the right direction already in my special case. but right now i need to get started with the project itself first before i even consider helping where i could maybe help Jyhem: fidel: if it's for testing, you might as well get in the Tiki9 release train and test that. It all depends on when you want your non-test website. Tiki9 is currently in alpha, and should be released end of april. Then it's a LTS version fidel: Jyhem: background is: i am running several mediawiki instances right now and consider jumping to tikiwiki if it helps me fine-tuning access to the wiki-content & if the converter somehow works
end of april sounds like it matches my timetable as well
thanks for the pointers/answers btw xavi: bbl

typo basically
tiki importer -> options -> checkbox: what should happen if a page already exists. Option 1 currently is 'Bicht importieren' while it should be most likely 'Nicht importieren'
i just tested 'Tiki Importer' using an 85 mb .xml file generated via dumpBackup.php from mediawiki
tiki seems to do just nothing - no error - no imported content - just returns to the beginning of the importer page where i should select the source type & file
which is kinda confusing for me right now
could be for sure related with the size of the source xml - or the content of the xml - not sure right now
but i expected at least some kind of warning - and a longer processing time CIA-36: tikiwiki: 03jyhem * r40641 10/branches/9.x/lang/de/language.php: typo (thanks fidel on IRC) Jyhem: typo corrected
