I see many backticks re-formated between 8x and 9x in lib/messu/messulib.php

anyway, too late for me today (time to leave)

tikiwiki: reuseable, and isClearingCache, which I felt was as well reusable, which I use
tikiwiki: in tiki_codemirror to prevent the adding of the js files, which is a fix for
tikiwiki: creating the files at the same time they are removed from cache, essentially
tikiwiki: adding non-existant files. RobertPlummer: Jyhem_laptop: What do you think of that last commit?
Jyhem_laptop: Borderline rollback?
lol
Jyhem_laptop: I hope I don't step on anyones toes with this coordinator business, but if I see a dificiency in Tiki, I want to do it once, not 4 times (add in 9.x, merge to 10, create feature in 10, merge fix back to 9 LTS).
Jyhem_laptop: Do you agree?
I will roll that back if you guys feel it is needed though. Jyhem_laptop: I like the idea of making Tiki9 solid, and I can see the use of a general tikiPage() function, but isn't the whole thing an obfuscated way of checking that we are in tiki-admin_system.php?do=all ? But that's just discussing style RobertPlummer: Right, but we may change how we attempt to do a cache in the future, I just thought if a bunch of places use it, then if the method ever changes to do a cache, we change it in 1 place and the locations that depend on that will be fixed.
What do you think, rollback?
I like the tikiUrl and tikiPage convention, I thought it was sort of clever. CIA-36: tikiwiki: 03robertplummer * r40769 10/trunk/ (4 files in 4 dirs): [MRG] Automatic merge, branches/9.x 40765 to 40768 Jyhem_laptop: I can think of uses for a tikiPage function (it is tricky to get right, and the name makes t obvious), but I feel the isClearingCache() does not add much. I usually value legibility and obviousness over cleverness. More time is wasted debugging and improving than writing the first time. Again, that's just style and style is personal, I won't push style.
The real question is: is that isClearingCache() function going to be used more than once or twice ? If so, ok RobertPlummer: Very good, I will remove isClearingCache. CIA-36: tikiwiki: 03robertplummer * r40770 10/branches/9.x/lib/ (codemirror_tiki/tiki_codemirror.php tikilib.php): [FIX] Partial rollback of added function isClearingCache, moved the functionality to tiki_codemirror.php Jyhem_laptop: Thanks, I think that's good. Let's solve the problems we know we have on Tiki9, there are enough. Those we imagine can be handled in trunk or later, when they materialise.
overengineering is also something to watch for RobertPlummer: True. The problem I was fixing this time was something Jonny brought to my attention in that those files were loading even if they didn't exist. I couldn't think of a way to prevent them from loaded at first, he thought to check if the file existed, and then it hit me.
If we know that tiki is going to be cached, we know that the files aren't needed.
But yet, concentrating on fixes is what is important for 9.
