dhazelI'm guessing that the apache invironment does not have access to an X display
so perhaps the tikiwiki pdf feature only "just works" if the static version of wkhtmltopdf is used?

xaviI'm not able to use HTML plugin inside a blog post in Tiki9: html code dissapears every time I hit on "save"
I've tried disabling "HTML Purifier" and "Output should be HTML Purified" but no way, same issue
do you know how to avoid this issue?
I'm using the standard simple editor in the blog post

Jyhemno, I have no idea :-( [10:02]

JyhemJyhem left the parsing stuff to RobertPlummer and jonny, and is currently knee deep in tracker stuff. Not looked at blogs yet [10:03]
xaviok, ok, Jyhem :-)
btw, Jyhem, do you know already how to save data back to trackers from a smarty template (where R did could have done some calculations)?
email sent to the devel list about the plugin html issues in blog posts in 9x
[10:07]
Jyhemxavi: never thought about saving data back automatically. A prefilled Tracker plugin maybe? [10:11]
xavimmm?
I don't get it...
imagine that you have 3 fields in a tracker: A, B C
A=2, B=3, C= [empty], in the tracker
in a smarty template, you want R to do some calculations (for the sake of simplicity, let's say A * B here)
so that you want the value 6, obtanied at the smarty template level, to be stored back to the field C in the tracker
^how can you do that ?
^Jyhem
[10:11]
Jyhem{JQ()}
$jq("#ins_128").val("Arad : "); // to prefill a text field, option1
[10:17]
xaviJyhem, well, yes, I know that trick, requiring an extra "Save results" button somewhere... [10:18]
Jyhemwith the calculated 6 thing in val("Arad : ") [10:18]
xaviI ment, without requiring extra hit from the user to save results int he tracker
isn't there any smarty or ajax or whatever stuff to save back to trackers from a smarty template?

maybe RobertPlummer might know, whenever he is back?
or sylvieg might know...
[10:18]
JyhemI see no pretty tracker plugin which might help.
Maybe some ajax with services, but I'm not sure how it works and if it's in 9.x already

Hello all!
Small Q : we're on an older version, 3.3 ... still didn't find the time to update due to trackers having mirrored tables :(
now i got the Q from my boss if there's a possibility to have a mail button when viewing a tracker item so users can easily send an email with a small description and a link to the tracker
has this functionality been added recently or is this difficult to do?

RobertPlummer: quick css question: do you know to remove the extra blank space that is added somehow by PluginR on top of the graphs shown here? : http://www.r-es.org/r_test6
I mean, the google API charts display small, as they were expected
and according to firebug, there is plenty of space in the section called something like:
<pre id="routput1" name="routput1" style="white-space: pre-wrap; word-wrap: break-word; ">
[13:30]
JyhemRobertPlummer: good idea. missing featrures that make stuff unusable (or a hue pain) need fixing [13:33]
RobertPlummerxavi, any reason it uses a pre tag?
That is a bit odd, I would imagine that is the problem.
n is seen as <br /> in a pre tag
[13:33]
xaviRobertPlummer: well, that's good for the text output [13:33]
RobertPlummer(I think) [13:33]
xavibut not for graphic output, it seems... [13:34]
RobertPlummerxavi: Yea, but on a graph that doesn't seem to work well.
xavi is there ever any text in there?
[13:34]
xaviso the question is, is there an easy way to add only that pre tag when the output contains text? [13:34]
RobertPlummerWhere does the text come from in the {R()}{R} plugin?
Does it come from the body?
[13:35]
xavitext: yes, usually. ... see http://doc.tiki.org/PluginR#a:_attId_hardcoded [13:35]
RobertPlummerthen just wrap the text from the body in it. The graph/chart should not be in the pre tag. [13:36]

JyhemIf option can't have event, I guess it's impossible [13:51]
RobertPlummerHow is the user changing it? (It is never impossible)
are they scrolling their mouse, use wheelscroll event (if it exists) are they using their keyboard, use mouse down.

xavi, who wrote plugin rr?
[13:55]
Jyhemno luck
plugin rr was written by xavi, i think. I helped afterwards on multiple graphs
[14:01]
RobertPlummerMan we need a cleaner way of creating plugins.
This is a case in point, I like it, but man it seems hard to follow.
The more I think about it, the more I want to rebuild the plugin system.
I was debating on using OO for the plugins, and I thought it would be too much overhead, but I am now reconsidering.
Jyhem, my thought is to have 2-3 types of plugins, html plugins, and operator plugins, can you think of any other type?
An html plugin gets a standard 'box' with a standard set of css modifiers.
An operator plugin has no css applied to it.
[14:14]
Jyhemhover() did it :-) [14:19]
RobertPlummerThat way we could have reliable css on any plugin needed.
Jyhem hover is mousein + mouseout
hover(function() {},function() {})
Jyhem, what do you think about reworking how plugins are created?
[14:19]
JyhemWell, hover() works fine while "TypeError: $("#trackerFilterEdit1form td.fieldedit option").mousein is not a function" [14:22]
RobertPlummersorry mouseover
mouseover + mouseout
[14:26]
JyhemHmmm, not sure. Our plugins really do amazingly complex stuff. I'm not sure creating them differently will make them simpler. They have already been reworked so that all params can be exposed to users and modified in a standardised way. What issue would this reworking solve ? [14:27]
RobertPlummerMaking them standardized.
It would greatly simplify creating new plugins.
I didn't think it would be a good idea until I jump into a plugin that has tons of css modifiers.
It would be nice to abstract that level, so you don't have to worry about it when creating a new plugin.
All I know is this, most successful cms system have already done this, they wouldn't do it if there wasen't much value in it.
DotNetNuke for example has extremely powerful plugins, creating a single layer for how it is represented on the page would greatly increase it's ability to be stablized and or represented in a wywiwyg manner.
[14:30]
JyhemSo it is just about the displayed css modifiers?
I don't see how this is a plugin-related issue in Tiki
That would be a look and feel project for someone with both graphism and coding abilities, and time.
[14:37]
RobertPlummerJyhem it is a plugin related issue because I'm talking about going from procedural to OO.
I think you are in favour of procedural, no?
[14:40]
JyhemWell, if OO is getting us to where trackers are, I certainly want to keep the procedural approach. At least, it's hackable. Nowadays, debugging trackers is done more and more at the jQuery level, which is just wrong
And debugging is much more important than writing the first version.
[14:42]
RobertPlummerJyhem, we have talked about this before, trackers are not really OO, they have an OO piggy-back that is terrible.
They may be in a class, but it is NOT OO.
Jyhem, that is the exact reason I want to do this.
Jyhem I don't think the goal is to recreate all the plugins, but just make a very easy layer to make new ones.
[14:43]
JyhemWell, when I dive through 6 layers of abstraction and still haven't reached the mysql query, I don't feel how abstracting things is different from hiding them [14:45]
RobertPlummerJyhem, that is not the type of abstraction I'm talking about.
Jyhem, I will get a proof of concept together, then let me know what you think.
Jyhem, I'm much in favour of using abstraction to enhance debugging, not make it more difficult.
Jyhem, abstracting in a way humans think and a way that is understandable.
[14:45]
JyhemWell, I think the important thing here is "respect the environment". If there is a new improved way of making plugins *which does not* start with breaking the existing ones, I'm sure pleny of volunteers will happily convert the old ones. But only if it works better. [14:47]
RobertPlummerJyhem, agreed, that is the goal. Too much work for any one man. [14:48]
JyhemAnd work better is a lot of different things to different people: easy to write/easy to maintain/easy to modify/don't hog resources/run fats/etc. So it usually takes more time than planned [14:49]
RobertPlummerUnderstood [14:49]
JyhemThat's good :-)
BTW, is trackerquery finished, or do you intend to run everything at once ? :-)
[14:50]
xaviback [14:51]
Jyhemdon't burn yourself out, RobertPlummer, we like to have you around [14:52]
xaviRobert: "Edit" in Spanish is "Editar" [14:52]
RobertPlummerJyhem trackerquery will evolve as I need it at this point, till others help out with it.
Or I get more funding, but as of right now it lets me do things with 5 lines of code you can't do with 150 with the 'OO Tracker Piggy-Back'
[14:53]
Jyhemok, now I need to eat [14:54]
xaviRobertPlummer: PluginR was written by many people [14:54]
RobertPlummerxavi, oh ok.
Jyhem, I get burned out looking at Tiki's old code and frustrated at times that it hasen't been simplified. I get enthusiastic when I can simplify something and make it better than it was before.
There is no joy in being the only one who understands how something runs, the joy is designing it so that others can share your joy in knowing how it works.

Jyhem / Jyhem_laptop: Now with any plugin that has a class in lib/core/WikiPlugins/ You can do this and it works: {PLUGIN(style-color="blue" style-background-color="yellow" style-width="50%" style-float="right")}
Hello World!
{PLUGIN}
Kinda cool.

nochart is shown, when line 535 of wikiplugin_rr.php is
$cont = str_replace("n", '', $cont);
(all empty lines removed)
[16:59]
RobertPlummerxavi, replace the n after it has been executed by r. [17:00]
xavishouldn't we add some space.... ? [17:00]
RobertPlummerOr is it at that point? [17:01]
xaviah, ok...
good point, you are right!
I don't think it's at that point...
xavi checking
oh well, yes, that line is after R is executed....
so I'll try replacing new lines with spaces...
a cheap test (my neurons are tired)
[17:01]
RobertPlummerdo an echo there if you can xavi.
echo $cont just after you replace it, and reload the page.

xaviRobertPlummer: do you se anything wrong in the js in page source, line 314, of the page source of this page: www.r-es.org/9x/tiki-index.php?page=r_test7 ? [17:07]
RobertPlummerIt is being commented out.
// jsData
// jsDrawChart
// jsDisplayChart
// jsChart
Replace each of those with /*js...*/
In the same line that you replace the n
make the n and array and add those values to it, php will do the rest./
str_replace(array("n", "// jsData", "// jsDrawChart", "// jsDisplayChart", "// jsChart"), '', $cont);

RobertPlummerloading it up.
Wow!
beautiful.
xavi, did you see my new class system for plugins?
I committed that with you in mind buddy.
I simplified container for plugins.
Every plugin could potentially be just like an html element with defaut css attibutes.
[17:40]
xavi:-) [17:43]
RobertPlummerWhat do you think of it? [17:44]
xaviI reckon I don't know enough php to recognize it as THE way to go or not. I trust your expertise on that matter :-)
and the "wisdom of crodws" :-)
[17:44]
RobertPlummerxavi, {DIV(style-color="red")}{DIV} and {SHEET(style-color="red")}{SHEET} would have a parent object that has the style set for it. [17:46]
xavisounds nice (and neat) [17:47]
RobertPlummerThey would both use the same code to generate their container, the same style's applied to both.
I collected all css 1-3 css attributes.
[17:47]
xavibtw, talking ab out SHEET... did you get a change to see why it didn't work any more to show the content of just one cell from one sheet into another sheet for calculations? [17:48]
RobertPlummerxavi, I'
ve not looked at it, I can though.
[17:48]
xavixavi impressed with RobertPlummer speed at developing and bug fixing things
shall I remind you about the issue?
I reckon that I create some test case in demo.t.o/9x...

<anybody> Hi, do exist a test mode for rights access calls (tikiaccesslib.php) so that when there are errors in rights parameters (not wished behavior), it should be easy to analyze the error and find it quickly. [19:23]
xaviRobertPlummer: ? I see this in one tiki 9x site (r41928) PHP Warning: file_get_contents(temp/public/codemirror_modes.css): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /path/lib/headerlib.php on line 664
no idea, Trebly, hope somebody else can answer you (not me)

RobertPlummerxavi this happens when you clear cache.
xavi, is codemirror off or on in your site?
[19:24]
xaviit's on
and I saw that in the aapche logs, when looking for some other stuff
ah, ok, yes, I cleared cache, yes

Trebly<RobertPlummer> Hi, I experienced the problem of changes in prefs that are not taken in account till cookie PHPSESSID has not been deleted manually on user computer, where is the solution ? (others data are updated in new PHPSESSID but not all parameters. Isn't theorically right ?) [19:33]

Hi there, any feedback of issue http://dev.tiki.org/item4233 ? I confirm this still happens after a 8.4 fresh install. In IE, 12/06 is been shown at a thrusday.
In chromium/linux everything works fine tough.
I remember that issue being fixed in some previous release. Maybe it worths a regression test.

Trebly<RobertPlummer> Soory, I had a call from skype at same time. No. I was talking about the fact that, as a change had been made by admin into prefs, the user had not seen any change. It is only when I asked to him to destroy his cookie PHPSESSID that he have got the changes made.
The prefs parameters are memorized into the PHPSESSID and loaded by default from the cookie when a session is started, the fact that the values have been changed on server is not seen. I imagine that the cause is that the user had still an active connection, forgotten into another windows. In such case the session is not closed and the prefs changes made by an admin during a user session are...
...not taken in account. Sorry for the length. I don't found to explain this shorter.

marclaportesandroandrade: Sorry, no idea. but patch welcome :-) [21:40]
sandroandrademarclaporte: sure, but the main problem is why that's happening only in IE :) [21:41]
marclaporteoh, I see. So the bug should be reported to IE?, [21:42]
sandroandradeI don't think so, calendar gets messed showing incorrect month days assigned to week days ... [21:46]
marclaporteWe do sometimes have different .js for IE. Could it be the issue?
What about Firefox or Chrome on Windows?
[21:46]
So we are doing something wrong but IE is less permissive of sloppy code than FF ? :-) [21:55]
