guten morgen :) jmd deutsches hier?
brüchte mal hilfe :/
fidel: pinky: afaik this channel is english only
at least i havent seen someone speaking german inhere the last days ;)
pinky: ok sorry
i have a problem with some local links in tiki....
there is an error everytime i tried to open a link like that: \fs1.....tutorialstutorial.html
its a video tutorial....
fidel: why using \ ? - is that a network resource or something?
pinky: yes... its my fileserver
fidel: and what error message is produced=
?
pinky: cant open and that i should ask the administrator.... but iam the administrator -.- you want a screenshot?
fidel: just show us the full error message here
pinky: ok

If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster. Error 404 127.0.0.1 Mi 20 Jun 2012 08:31:08 CEST Apache/2.2.21 (Unix) DAV/2 mod_ssl/2.2.21 OpenSSL/1.0.0c PHP/5.3.8 mod_apreq2-20090110/2.7.1 mod_perl/2.0.5 Perl/v5.10.1
fidel: did you check the apache error log as well?
and is the requested url valid and permissionwise reachable?
pinky: ? sorry my english is not so good ... in my old mediawiki it works to open that link...
how can i see the apache error log?
fidel: well - check the apache conf to know where your apache error log is located- then open it. most likely somewhere in /var/log or similar
but i dont know what os you are using etc - nor did you fully describe your setup etc
pinky: ok moment....
fidel: and i am just a tiki starter myself
pinky: so there are 2 files: error.log and error.log.1
fidel: sounds like rotating logs
pinky: error.log is empty
in in the other file are 53 lines
fidel: should be sorted based on timestamps
pinky: but i dont use the apache from my system... i use xampp...
and in the error folder from xampp are only html files
fidel: to be honest - this doesnt sound like a tiki-issue to me at all
pinky: .....:/
i only want to open that link :D arrrgh :D
!help
Tiki|bot: You can get a more complete list of commands that work with this bot at http://tiki.org/TikiBot .
fidel: pinky: i really think that has nothing to do with tiki in the first place
debug your setup and try to understand why that resource is not reachable
pinky: oh ok.... normaly i can open that link in tiki?
fidel: it might be due to permission issues - connectivity issues or whatever else - only you can test that right now
pinky: ok i try to find the problem...
but normaly it is no problem to open links like that in itki?
fidel: i dont know - as mentioned earlier i am a starter myself and you again havent showed the full link-synthax you used to offer others inhere the option to check that
pinky: fs1IntranetAllgemeinTelefonverzeichnisseTelefonlisteBEW.pdf
this is the complete link...
ok thx for your help....
fidel: that is not full synthax i assume
this is a link - but not wiki synthax right? ;)
pinky: right
fidel: and last time your link started with double for network resource
pinky: my fault XD dont cpied the first [08:57] pinky \fs1IntranetAllgemeinTelefonverzeichnisseTelefonlisteBEW.pdf
this is the complete link :P
fidel: well i give up - try to debug your xxamp log - that would be my way to do that
btw: dont use xxamp for productive things - its for development only from my point of view
and your link looks like ...productive-infrastructure ;)
pinky: its a link from my company :D
fidel: -> well DONT use xxamp or similar for real-world usage
thats a no-go
redflo: joined #tikiwiki
pinky: O.o ok ..... so i should install tiki without xxamp...
fidel: xxamp is ment for setting up a quick development lamp environment
no focus on security or similar
its just a playground
which is nice for tests - but critical from security point of view
pinky: ouuuuu.... ok .... to do: delete xammp and install tiki without that...
fidel: what os are you using?
pinky: linux mint 12
fidel: in case of linux - there are perfect written LAMP tutorials
pinky: ... ou ok...
fidel: covering all points from instlaling apache, configuring virtual host over installing and setting up php/mysql etc
pinky: can you send me a link?
fidel: no i dont google for you
pinky: ou ok tought you have just open such of these links...
fidel: no - i dont use em ;)
just google for: your-distri + lamp + tutorial
but thats just general hints - replacing xxamp vs a real apache has nothing to do with your link issue
just to point that out
pinky: Oo ok ....
fidel: i guess you should try your luck in a german channel if language is a problem
might make things easier for you
pinky: ... good idea....
fidel: or use the chance and practice some english - as it will nevr be better if you dont use it ;)
pinky: :P thats true....
fidel: are you responsible for the it in that company?
or is it just a 1 men company?
pinky: here are 4 ppl in the it put its my project
no 250 ppl :P
fidel: and you are considerung using xxamp? ;)
it might help to discuss tech-questions with your team before you start the real working
pinky: its a shame but i am the only one who uses a linux system and knows what it is....
fidel: hrhr
pinky: so i cant ask that windows fetish boys :D
fidel: well - good luck - need to focus on other things now
pinky: kk
thx
fidel: one final hint:
consider reading this article ONCE - http://www.tty1.net/smart-questions_de.html
it will help YOU getting help in IRC in the future
should be in your language

fidel: hi - is it possible to rename an existing tiki-article?
or do i need to create a new one and create a redirect from within ther old page?
solved
redflo: joined #tikiwiki
fidel: btw: feedback-wise: its not a good idea in 9.0beta 2 to have an article called 'Sandbox' and to enable the sandbox function
tiki seems to not be able to make a real difference betwenn a page called sandbox and the sandbox-funtion itself
should i report a bug for that?

fidel: is there any logical sort-order for the tags listed while assigning tags to an wikipage?
seems like i do see a random sort-order from maybe 'popular tags'.
ricks99: in the tag cloud? you can display A-B-C order or based on usage (bigger first)
fidel: no while editing an article
you have the option to assign existing or new tags to a page
ricks99: oh, the suggestiosn?
fidel: yep might be suggestions
ricks99: tiki *attempts* to suggest existing tags, based on the page's content, title, category, etc.
fidel: but i dont see any logic in the sort-order of those listed tags
wouldnt it make sense to sort them from a-z?
ricks99: iirc, they are sorted from best suggestion to worst
fidel: hehe
ricks99: based on confidence, not abc, iirc
fidel: lets hope that was the target - reality-check-here looks not like best-worst (without knowing how that is defined)
ok thanks for explainig that
nah ..it cant be best to worst
having an article/page here which just lists details about a windows pc
and tiki suggest as first tag: Mac?
there is no single mac-relevant info in that page ;)
ricks99: devloper humor?
fidel: maybe that ;)
mac - hardware - virtualisierung - DHL ....none of the first 4 tags are anyhoe reletet to the pages content
*anyhow related*
