the tracker feature seems to be pretty advanced, I see that it is possible to query some information (ldap, group, other tracker items, etc). I want to make a user information tracker, it should contain already existing user information and have some additional data. How do I access already existing fields like email, realname, avatar, etc?
ideally the tracker should replace the user configuration for such items completely Tiki|bot: New Forum Posts: [gelöst] Bilder / thumbnails zu groß - http://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=10&comments_parentId=44292 PrezKennedy: joined #tikiwiki ohertel: joined #tikiwiki

moin arildb arildb: hi jjg0th jjg0th: Do you know how I can add existing user preference to a user information tracker? libs__: joined #tikiwiki arildb: not off hand, no jjg0th: e.g. email, homepage, avatar, etc
is there a documentation for this somewhere? arildb: try to search doc.tiki.org and dev.tiki.org jjg0th: another question: is it possible to only display (some content) if a certain tracker doesn't exist yet or has not all mandatory fields set yet?
arildb: hehe, I already tried this for hours ^^
I guess the question is: how to access the information whether a tracker exists and whether it has all mandatory fields set, the rest can probably be done arildb: not sure about that one either. I don't use trackers that much redflo: joined #tikiwiki jjg0th: ou have some experience with webdav? arildb: sorry, no jjg0th: finally found what I was looking for! :)
http://doc.tiki.org/User+Preference+Field
I still wonder how this works in conjunction with LDAP
independant of trackers, e.g. if I change my password what will happen?
the password is supposed to be checked using ldap and obviously tiki cannot change the password in ldap, so what happens if I change the password? ^^
same issue for realname, email, etc
also there is an ldap field to query stuff from ldap, so what am I supposed to do? requesting directly from ldap or requesting from user preferences which should in turn request from ldap? g0th: joined #tikiwiki libs__: joined #tikiwiki jjg0th: how do I show content on a webpage only if a certain condition is met
e.g. depending on a tracker item
something like: {IF(....)} foo {ELSE} bar {ENDIF}
ok, found it: pluginTrackerIf
or even better plugintrackeritemfield jacmoe: joined #tikiwiki fidel: polom
question regarding: toc in tiki 9.0
out of the box tiki seems to NOT create/display tocs for longer articles
we tried manually adding a toc to the beginning of the main template - but this was valid for the searchresult listing as well...which is for sure wrong
so: is there any easy way to enable a TOC for all existing pages?
during my mediawiki times it was afaik like that: in case of an article with > 3 sub-elements got displayed including a toc - to quaranty that a user will never ever see a bigger article without having a toc ohertel: sounds interesting, I think we dont have an auto-toc yet. fidel: hi
focusing on the actual content makes sense to me - and offering auto-toc makes much more sense then letting the user manually add it to a bigger amount of articles
should i create a ticket for that ohertel? ohertel: would be nice, yes. fidel: i somehow got the impression that the ticket situation is somehow ...chaotic....please dont get me wrong with that ;)
ok i'll do Jyhem: joined #tikiwiki fidel: done Tiki|bot: Recent Bug: Tracker item: #4259 - - Feature request - Option: autotoc - http://dev.tiki.org/item4259 ohertel: thanks :-)
joined #tikiwiki CIA-75: tikiwiki: 03chibaguy * r42242 10/trunk/templates/ (article_trailer.tpl comment-header.tpl tiki-stats.tpl): [FIX] Break tag causes unwanted white space and should be redundant when containing div has clearfix class. jjg0th: can someone explain to me how the "password, realname, email, etc" user preferences work?
I use ldap authentication (and tiki authentication for users created in tiki)
ldap already provides username, password, realname, email, so what happens if I change one of those in the user preferences?
another question: I don't understand the admin group permission settings? Isn't the admin group supposed to be able to change anything anyway? so why can I assign permissions to it? Tiki|bot: joined #tikiwiki ohertel: because from history, there was no admin group but an "Admin" user only.
the admin group was added later.
Beside that you might want to not allow all stuff to the admin group, eg editing DSN entries with password or users, just admin for wiki, blogs erc. jjg0th: but if I remove it who can add it again?
the admin user seems to have no power ^^
only if he is in the admin group ohertel: hm jjg0th: so my guess is the admin group has all power even if I remove permissions
so I don't get it ohertel: have a look at lib/tikiaccess.lib:check_admin() jjg0th: I think I'm not the first person who wonders about "how ldap gathered information" work together with "tiki preference values", it would be helpful if this was documented somewhere, preferably also on the wiki configuration itself ohertel: in that function the user Admin is hardcoded in perm check. jjg0th: hmm
but I removed the admin from the Admins and suddenly lost all rights ohertel: so you either have to have the perm OR be the Admin user.
hm jjg0th: I had to manually add him again by using phpmyadmin
Admins group* ohertel: cant say now, still at work. :-)
have to look at home jjg0th: kk
I will probably just give the admin all rights anyway
any idea about the ldap thing? ohertel: no idea about ldap, sorry libs__: joined #tikiwiki ohertel: joined #tikiwiki ComptuerNerd: joined #tikiwiki
Ho
I mean, Hi jjg0th: Hohoho
is someone in here familiar with wiki permissions? I'm currently setting all permissions and have some small questions about what individual permission settings are about... arildb: jjg0th: What's your question? jjg0th: 1) I want users to be able to add events and change their own events but not be able to change the events of others.
tiki_p_add_events => YES, tiki_p_change_events => NO
would that solve this? arildb: I haven't tried that setting, but sounds like a good guess. Try it radek82: joined #tikiwiki dhazel: joined #tikiwiki jjg0th: re (from coffee break)
Can edit a gallery file (tiki_p_edit_gallery_file) <- what does that mean?
the user can edit a file gallery created by the admin?
oh or is it about a file inside a file gallery
Can remove files (tiki_p_remove_files)
again, users should be able to edit/remove their own files but not those of other users (preferably)
Can change tracker items (tiki_p_modify_tracker_items)
again: users should be able to change their own tracker item but not those of others
I am so "unsure" what exactly is meant by those permissions :(
Can view in module and feed the wiki pages reference (tiki_p_wiki_view_ref) <- ????
Can use the page as a tracker template (tiki_p_use_as_template) <- is there any reason why this should _not_ be available for everyone? benoitg: joined #tikiwiki jjg0th: Can create new items for trackers (tiki_p_create_tracker_items) <- users start without a user information tracker item, so I need this set for all users?
Can remove tracker items (tiki_p_remove_tracker_items) <- again I hope this just applies to the tracker items of the user
can someone link me a nice documentation about permissions rodrigoprimo: joined #tikiwiki jjg0th: hmm, how do I make a group calendar?
