hi there
wanting to move my tikiwiki from a dedicated computer to a virtual machine, i was looking at the tiki.org page for help.
first thing i saw was "tiki 9 released"
that's definitely nice!
may i easily move my tiki 8 to a new tiki 9 folowing this instructions?

amette: heya, i will have a look ;)
jjg0th: just a moment; i think i have seen something simmilar how to force mime type
[16:22]
ametteluciash: kewl, thanks bro! :) [16:25]
luciashjjg0th: for example here: http://css3pie.com/documentation/known-issues/#content-type
jjg0th: i think you can just try the doctype docx should be served
amette: np :)
amette: kewl to c u commit something again ;)
[16:26]
ametteyeah, I was yesterday quite happy to see that myself ;) [16:28]
luciashamette: i think you did good job there, br is pretty legit in li if you need simple line break there... except i can see a stray </a> which should not be there, right ?
3times "there" - I should really finish my first mug of coffee today before creating sentenses
[16:33]
amettehehe, yeah, I just prepared another coffee for me here... ;) [16:35]
luciashthe spans are fine, more flexible to style at least [16:35]
ametteoh yeah, where did the </a> come from?! :P
if the <br> is ok there, then I'm happy... makes it look quite fine in the end... see amette.eu
but then I now need to add the classes TwitDate, TwitName, etc. to some basic CSS file or where?
[16:36]
benoitgjoined #tikiwiki [16:38]
luciashone point though: i would use https or make it optional otherwise https sites will yell about using non-https content
for the twitter url
i suppose it is about design, then put them in styles/layout/design.css
[16:38]
ametteit just points away from the site... what should it yell...
... my site is https and I get no problem in chrome...
... you mean like "You are leaving encrpyted connection..."-warnings?
[16:39]
benoitgjoined #tikiwiki [16:40]
ametteyeah, if the choices are design and layout, I would say it is design [16:40]
luciashi know i had sharethis code stuck in <head> calling the js from sharethis site using http:// and the site yelled in some browsers ;) maybe this is not the case, cause they are just links, fine then [16:41]
benoitgjoined #tikiwiki [16:42]
ametteah, yeah, different thing... the one you mean gets loaded in parallel to be used on the page you're loading... so browsers shout about "there is a lock in your browser, but it means crap, cause embedded content isn't encrypted"
should be no problem here...
[16:42]
luciashyup yup [16:42]
amettebtw - is there some smarty postfilter or so that could make the links inside the Tweets clickable links? [16:43]
benoitgjoined #tikiwiki [16:51]
jjg0thre
luciash: There is already a mime type in apache's httpd.conf
but it still doesn't work :((
it does not show the correct mime type for docx
for some files it shows "default" as mime type and for others it shows "application/zip"
it never shows anything about ms word
[17:00]
luciashamette: i do not know but you could use smarty {wiki}...{/wiki} block, which should parse it like wiki syntax including urls (if enabled in Tiki admin)
jjg0th: maybe the PHP script could work then ?
jjg0th: if you download the PIE zip package it includes one little PIE.php script, which sets header to the correct MIME type
try to use that one maybe with MIME type used for doc files (is it application/ms-word or something ?)
[17:12]
amettewhen I set styling for ".TwitDate a { }" in layout.css, it applies everything but the color - setting the color in amette.css the same way works ?! :O [17:14]
luciashjjg0th: also, if i remember correctly, there is setting in Tiki admin panels somewhere to bypass mime type check but judge by file name extension instead
amette: you mean in design.css ? ;) chcek in Firebug which rule overrides the other one
amette: it might be that it is overriden by a.visited or something more specific
[17:14]
ametteehm, right... design.css in layout/... ;)
a:link, a:visited overrides it...
yup, right :)
I thought the class .TwitDate would be more specific... but it then has to come after a:visited in the css file to be considered more important?
or is there a way to get it done in design.css?
otherwise I leave the coloring of it to the style-authors... though it would probably look better in any style, if it were slightly grey... ;)
no, checked it out, I leave it like that - looks good in other themes! :)
