The problem, as suspected, was with the local.php 		[13:06]
changiTiki's, 9.1 and 8.5 are now on sf.net, please test [13:07]
Cabezacontrary to the instructions $db_tiki is NOT to hold the local dbname. It is $dbs_tiki. $db_tiki should hold, e.g., "mysql" (I guessing that is the value because it works). If it sounds confusing it is because, well, it is. [13:09]

arildbCabeza: You must create a new database (if I understand you righ), and not use the mysql database. It is where the database system tables are stored. Create and use a new database [13:11]

Cabezado not worry, the tiki info is stored in its own db, not mysql
trying to debug why temp session tables failed to create on osx 10.8 we resorted to storing the session info on the db, which took us to manually create local.php but ran into a problem with the distinction between $db_tiki (which app holds the sql server type or somesuch) and $dbs_tiki which stores the name of the db where the tiki data will live

go37goHi, I am trying to get a tracker on a wiki page. The tracker plugin is not appearing in the "Plugin Help". Also, the link to my Editing and Plugins in wiki admin console is not loading anything (just blank white page).
I built a simple contact us form (the feature for Contact Us was not working correctly so I decided to make a tracker form to do the job).
I am following the guide and video from tiki for smarties 		[20:28]
ricks99if the plugin does not appear in the tradker help, confirm that you have it enabled.
as for blank pages, they are 99% of the time caused by lack of php memory. confirm that you meet the minimum req 		[20:31]
go37goRick, I have not done a formal check on the PHP memory (not sure how), but when I use the feature search in the admin panel, I get a lack of memory error message. Other than that all of the other features have worked fine.
I enable it from the Editing and Plugins page, orrect? 		[20:33]
ricks99from the admin menu, select phpinfo
this will display the php screen. and you can see how much memory you have 		[20:34]

ricks99min req is 128 i believe. you'll need to modify your php.ini to increase

ricks99lack of memory will cause all sorts of oddities. be sure to clear your tiki caches, too
try adding it manually to your page, if you can't access the plugin helper 		[20:40]
go37goOK thanks. I cleared the cache by going to the admin -> modules page and hit the clear cache button. I understand there are several caches in tiki according to http://doc.tiki.org/Cache. Do you think that was a valid test or should I focus on clearing other caches? [20:45]
ricks99by default that clears all caches. i would first raise your memory limit [20:46]
