hi
how do I include the body of an html page as html content on a wiki page?
I tried: {snarf url="lunchmenu.html" cache="30"}
but it didn't work, so I changed it to {snarf url="https://mywebsite.com/lunchmenu.html"}
but then it included the source of the whole file instead of displaying it as html content hans_: joined #tikiwiki Jyhem: joined #tikiwiki hans_: I have adresslists for many different person groups on wiki pages. So the wiki code is almost all the same except the city. But if I want to change a vew words on that pages I need to do it on aaaaallll the pages. Is there a way to read the pagename and extract the city information from there? I already thought writing a plugin and using dynamic code... If I wanted to add some javascript code to tikiwiki, which file do I edit? jonnyb: HideMe: there are many ways - it sort of depends
if you want it on all pages then add a file called custom.js inside which ever theme (in the styles dir) you're using HideMe: jonnyb I've tried adding to tiki-js.js
okay, I'll try that. jonnyb: that should work, but will be bad if/when you do an update
best not to modify the tiki files if you can avoid it
you can also just paste js into the custom js preference field (in admin/look & feel/customisation
)
that's stored in the database to will survive upgrades etc wu-lee_: joined #tikiwiki HideMe: Thank you. I'll try that then, fivealive theme doesn't seem to have the custom.js vmachine: joined #tikiwiki jonnyb: no, you have to add it manually
but the prefs are best probably HideMe: Thank you sir, it worked. jonnyb: yay! refizul: joined #tikiwiki

The account seems to exist in the system but it's not acknowledged yet
I can request a password reset link, but I cannot use it because the account wasn't setup properly
tiki.org tells me the old password is/was invalid ricks99: is this a new account? did you verify your account? new accounts must be verified. you get an automated email that contains a verification link refizul: I didn't get a verification request because something went wrong with the captcha and registration code. ricks99: did you request a password reset? tiki will resend verification email, if necessary Tiki|bot: New Forum Posts: Replacing tiki menus with javascript navbars - http://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=4&comments_parentId=45206 refizul: yes, I requested. But I cannot reset the pw because the account was never verified. ricks99: correct refizul: The system sends an email but the link doesn't help ricks99: you received the account verification email?
and the link didn't work? refizul: no - there was no verification mail, because the captcha and reg code stuff wasn't correct
but somehow the account already exists - deactivated ricks99: what is the account username? refizul: fmg ricks99: 1 second please...
i see: fmg, fmg-sf, and sf-fmg. all created recently refizul: fmg-sf and sf-fmg can be deleted
the system told me the username already exists - but that was because it already accepted my new username
I tried other usernames, all with registration code problems ricks99: when you use "FORGOT PASSWORD" and enter fmg for username, what msg do you get? refizul: an email with reset link ricks99: very odd. when I do, i get a message about validation -- not an email refizul: Please click on the following link to confirm you wish to reset your password and go to the screen where you must enter... ricks99: username = fmg refizul: now I get another message ricks99: are you entering your EMAIL or USERNAME in the form? refizul: "The administrator has not yet validated your account. Maybe this happened because first JavaScript was disabled for Google -- the captcha stuff and registration code field is a Google api
