Hi Expert.. i have upgrade my tikiwiki 6.6 to 9.1. its successfully upgrade. but mindmap. org chart and spreadsheet not display in new tikiwiki 9.1

RobertPlummer: oh ok.
Just thought I'd throw you a bone ;)
but it could use some tlc. FileGallery doesn't exist yet, but would be a great addition.
So the code you are creating now jonnyb, if it has to do with gallery lookup, permissions, etc, why not create the new class FileGallery and put those in a general reusable method there, and use them in your code.
When I start coding, I imidiatly try and think "How can I reuse this same code elsewhere". And I find that the extra minutes spent there, are saved later.
jonnyb: had to be done quicky quick to get into 10 pre-branch - would preferred to have a few days for this kind of thing
RobertPlummer: If so, I would suggest you wait till 11 for that code.
If it cannot be done right, you are going to create double the work later.
Do it right once, no refactor.

RobertPlummer: Again this was just an example of dynamics, I even put that on the test.
lphuberdeau: actually, html5 is softer on those types of things
RobertPlummer: The idea is stability. It isn't an edge case thing, it is to check dynamics.
I picked table because it uses "|" which could make the link break, and I wanted to make it simply work.
Wiki links are pretty complex, but what we have achieved seems amazing. <a href="link" title="unparsed">parsed</a> it is a really neat scenario and a way to stretch our legs with wiki syntax.
The trouble I'm having now is splitting apart the old wiki link processor from that of things like alias, and externals.

jonnyb: hi changi
RobertPlummer: polom changi
jonnyb: Bsfez1: should we do the branch now? can do it later - i have one more little elfinder thing to add but can't get it to work yet (and need food)

is 9.2 planned ?
have fun with tiki 10
see ya
luciash: RobertPlummer: i think only this should be allowed in the parser (not to encourage ppl to create mad non-valid constructs with a link): ((WikiPage?URLparams#anchor|__''~~color:Foo Bar~~''__ {img src=...} {other non-block plugin variant}))
RobertPlummer: luciash: I'll let you manage that.
:)
How about we build the standard, make it stable, then start limiting if needed.
luciash: that is what parser is about, no ? define rules, then make it happen
lphuberdeau: robert, if it makes it in an official release, it becomes harder to limit it afterwards
RobertPlummer: luciash: I'm not arguing that, there are higher piorities though right now, like wikilink parsing.
lphuberdeau: better to limit it first
luciash: yep, i also think limit it first and add as necessary
RobertPlummer: Still guys, there are highligher priorities right now.
And it is experimental.
fabricius: limit it first and extend it later lphuberdeau ?
RobertPlummer: I think this should happen before it replaces the current parser.
I'm neck deep in wikilinks guys, give me some slack.
lphuberdeau: robert, you started the discussion, not us ;)
fabricius: experimantal is cool .... it's for experimenting ... what's possible ... need not everything go to release
RobertPlummer: lphuberdeau: I'm letting you know what is possible. You starting talking about limiting it guys.
luciash: RobertPlummer: no pressure, no rush, i just tend to think twice
RobertPlummer: I'm waisting time! I'm on a role!
fabricius: btw. RobertPlummer any ideaabout the following: menuitem=wikipageinclude (menuitem={include(page, start, end) /})?
RobertPlummer: lphuberdeau: You can't steal my thunder today!
:)
jk
luciash: RobertPlummer: np, if you are on fire, rock on, it was just a bit controversial example of what you gave would be possible ! :)
RobertPlummer: fabricius: Oh right, that is just another alternate output for lists, could build it in a few minutes(the processor), but the page may take a little while. If you want to export the current sql to a menu, I could throw something together.
luciash like this:
*Item1{FEAUTURE()}
**Feature{FEATURE}{GROUP(groups="my_group")}
***Group{GROUP}
*Item
Better yet would be a converter, that'd be AWESOME!
Output to wiki sytnax from menu would make it easier to do all kinds of things.
fabricius: RobertPlummer: what you mean with "export the current sql to a menu"?
RobertPlummer: fabricius: It'd be tricky, but you'd need a way to reconstruct the current menu into an array, and then cycle through it to get wiki syntax.
fabricius: pls mind, that I am not a coder, even as I always am keen on learning to understand the coders way of thinking
RobertPlummer: ah, maybe better wait then.
fabricius: I'm just not sure, if I understand what you point me to
RobertPlummer: fabricius: nm
fabricius: you needed a few more words for me and explain it the simple way ... chances are, that I get it
RobertPlummer: so reconstruct the menu: you mean to recode the menu creating php file?
RobertPlummer: at the moment it is not an array / in an array? and an array is kind of a list?+
RobertPlummer: fabricius: Basically. That would be the ideal feature. The other option would be to build it once by hand. But I say, do it right once.
fabricius: I managed to make up an html css-menu in a module, that is generally working
RobertPlummer: an array is a programmatic list of the same type of a variable.
Oh, cool.
fabricius: not the really best design, but at least partwise doing where we wanted to go

fabricius: jonnyb luciash RobertPlummer ... jb, pls tell me more about the mystic wikisyntax in menus
RobertPlummer: fabricius: The idea is to use wiki syntax for menus to simplify how they are designed. We would cache them as a module, and use an alternate list output to display them.
jonnyb: there's a new checkbox on menu edit - wiki parse
RobertPlummer: jonnyb: This is a different feature.
jonnyb: I think the menu system is pretty difficult for most people to use, and wiki syntax is not much better. But for us devs, it is cake.
jonnyb: yes, in 9.2 - mainly because the missing quotes hack stopped working
fabricius: jonnyb luciash RobertPlummer - let's say, I want a plugin {include()}being a menuitem -> is that possible and where and how?
RobertPlummer jonnyb I do not agree!
RobertPlummer: fabricius: No, it is not possible right now. But with a little wiki syntax + javascript you could have it working.
luciash: jonnyb: yes, it is already in 9.1 :( seems showstopper for me to upgrade because I need also this in the URL fields for some items to be non-clickable with default cursor: #" style="cursor: default" onclick="javascript:return false;
jonnyb: fabricius: turn on wiki parse on your menu - most syntax works but suckfish css menus squashes some stuff
fabricius: I just had a weekend with a new webdesigner and two absolutely nottechie not-wanna-anything-have-to-do-with-tach-customers
luciash: jonnyb: no upgrade for me to 9.2 :(
fabricius: the new webdesigner got a first crash course from me recently and a bit of work together the last weekend
jonnyb: luciash: isn't there a button plugin with params like that?
luciash: jonnyb: i do not want to hack button to not look like button in menu items :-p

fabricius: and one of the customers just started to use his new development-Tiki-future-company-website as notebook <=> create - edit - save
say wow ... wiki is so cool, so easy, just what we desperately need
luciash: jonnyb: moreover the upgrade would be pain to re-edit all the menu items in wiki syntax to hack around this regression
fabricius: we simply have to do our homework in communication, marketing, training
jonnyb: ok luciash, i'll take a look
fabricius: jonnyb: I try
jonnyb: but it's a terrible "feature" and should never have existed
fabricius: jonnyb: brb
RobertPlummer: After the new parser llaunches, this kinda thing, a wiki menu, will be standard use case. We will have a solid foundation to build guys.
And if I can get passed the wikilinks, we will have nearly a non-experimental parser......
fabricius: RobertPlummer: I believe you ... cannot wait, but will wait with patience
luciash: jonnyb: yes, i agree it is not feature but until we have "not stepping on upgraders toes" solution, it is better to keep it in LTS and revamp it in 10.x
jonnyb: agreed
RobertPlummer: wikilinks work well, but man whoever coded this, they REALLY took the long road.
lphuberdeau?
lphuberdeau: ?
RobertPlummer: I'm sure they evolved, but there are so many levels are execution, it is mad.
execution and handlers.
lphuberdeau: was it you that coded wikilinks in their currect state in the old parser?
ei OutputLink.php
lphuberdeau: extracted the code at some point
RobertPlummer: lphuberdeau: I'm simplifying it, should be very short when done.
lphuberdeau: seems like you just said "I'm going to remove all the stuff I don't understand"
RobertPlummer: lol, trust me, that isn't what I said.
I'm simplifying execution.
lphuberdeau: because I feel that code is simple enough
(and it has unit tests covering it)
RobertPlummer: Most of the parsing for the jison parser is in the jison parser. In the old parser for wikilinks it is in OutputLink it looks.
luciash: jonnyb: btw, i suspect it could be just someone changed keeping raw quotes in the URL field there to encode them into " - that's it ?
RobertPlummer: Well, the biggest thing is that the ckeditor bits will be extracted for it's own list handler.
jonnyb: fabricius: switch on checkbox on menu edit - wiki parse, than use wiki syntax in the menu option labels
lphuberdeau: what ckeditor bits?
RobertPlummer: lphuberdeau: You feel it is simple enough because you are a super genius!
lphuberdeau: The places where it says "ckeditor".
$ck_editor
getHtml for example
lphuberdeau: oh, someone patched that up later on
RobertPlummer: I guess I could just use it directly....
fabricius: jonnyb: where I find it? is it just in trunk in one of the newest revisions?
lphuberdeau: I would have made it a setter like every other argument
luciash: fabricius: in 9.x when you admin edit one menu
RobertPlummer: lphuberdeau: Needs to be an alternate handler, that way the code stays clean, I feel.
lphuberdeau: seriously, all of the conditions in there serve a purpose in some sort of edge case
RobertPlummer: lphuberdeau: Ok, well noted.
I will just "plug it up" then.
fabricius: luciash: but then it should be in trunk aswell - I have a trunk from 2.sept and do not find it
lphuberdeau: the ck_editor bit really only skips create link part
jonnyb: luciash: could you check trunk for the missing quote thing, seems to be working ok for me here (cos we fix in trunk first these days ;) )
luciash: jonnyb: i see
jonnyb: oh right, i see in the source the "cheating" quotes are changed to "
think that was to deal with non-ascii7 chars in pagenames etc
lphuberdeau: most complex function in OutputLink has a cyclomatic complexity of 9, that's actually pretty good in the tiki-verse
luciash: fabricius: tiki-admin_menus.php?menuId=43&cookietab=2 it is there in trunk

but i would not care about trunk, i care about LTS now

and should be no regressions on it

luciash: kstingel: probably yes

kstingel: hmm ... zend, smarty, jquery, adodb ... just for starters
luciash: yep, is there really adodb in trunk still (just wonders)
