A question: I register with a user tracker, which has the field city. I want to have a register page for every city and preset the city value for that page, so the user don't have to fill it in. How can I preset a field at registration? Or any other solution? [10:43]

kstingelhans_: why woud you have a 'per city' registration page? ... won't that limit registrations? if you haven't created a page, they won't be able to register on your site
hans_: per country, and then perhaps per state/province could be achieved more easily, you could just use a tracker for the relevant options
taking it a step further, after those selections, I guess you could add a third tracker containing the city options -- but how would you account for cities not listed?
possibly, an easier method would be via a postcode/zipcode lookup ... at least that would provide a smaller option list 		[10:53]
hans_the point is: my users always get mixed up with the city field, because they alway think of their city. So it's also kind of oblsolete for them, but important for our german comunity.

arildbRobertPlummer: You mentioned that the MediaWiki parser will store all data in xhtml. If Tiki implemented this it would be possible to switch editor modes without loosing data. This is not afaik possible today, since HTML is richer than the tiki syntax. Ex. a table border width can be specified in HTML, but not in wiki syntax (to my knowledge). [21:07]

This amount changes every day due to fresh bills raised for food & beverages consumed by members when they visit the club. The club sends me a CSV file every day in the format "membership-number", "amountdue" containing the updated information. My question is, what would be the best way to import this data into tw? Is there any easy way to automate it?
For example, the forums accept posts via email. Can the contents of such a post be imported into a tracker? DSN would be one way forward but I am reluctant to (manually) convert the CSV data to SQL. Another would be to put the CVS data into a seperate tracker and link trackers via item lookup. So, in summary, I am looking for a quick and easy way to import CSV data into a tracker.
