RobertPlummerZeno, have you checked the credentials ;)
Zeno: I know, I know.
But you gotta ask.
[16:34]
Zenohehe
I have checked them
actually I can go through a php-ldap script with anonymous user
but tiki won't work either in anonimous mode
[16:34]
Jyhem_laptopRobertPlummer: what is the question ? I'm just passing in front of the laptop (need to go out) [16:36]
arildbZeno: There is the apache directory studio (I think it's called). It's a good to to check out LDAP connectivity. Have you tried that? [16:36]
RobertPlummerJyhem_laptop: 9.2.1 sound good? I just backported a spreadsheet fix from 10.x [16:36]
Zenoarildb, no, I haven't. If it can help, I may take a look at it... is it a difficult thing to setup (you know, I'm a win-dummy) [16:37]
arildbhe he...so, am I
works fine on windows, too
[16:38]
Jyhem_laptopHmmm, battling custom search at home (unending turning gif), and it works in demo.t.o. But I guess that is no reason to delay [16:38]
arildbZeno: It may help you check if your PC can actually connect to the LDAP server [16:38]
Zenooh, yes it can [16:38]
Jyhem_laptopJyhem_laptop back in an hour [16:39]
ZenoI've tried with a custom php script directly from the server and it connects properly [16:39]
arildbok, I still recommend trying the tool [16:39]
Zenoarildb the script works when I connect without user/pass (anonymous), but fails if I use non-admin user
also, I'm using alterra LDAP browser, which works too
softerra, sorry :P
arildb, btw, just a stupid question... I don't need to use anything on "LDAP Admin" fields, do I? I guess that's for creating stuff in the directory, which I don't want to...
[16:40]
arildbZeno: yes, I think so. It works without using the admin fields [16:42]
Zenogood [16:42]
marclaportejoined #tikiwiki [16:47]
Zenoarildb by order, I've managed to see at tiki-logs that first of all there's a search failure, then a bind fail... [16:51]
arildbI don't know the softerra LDAP browser, but I think the apache directory studio will let you test these things. [16:52]
Zenoso 1) anonymous bind ok, 2) search 3) search error 4) bind with user 5) bind error [16:53]
Tiki|botRecent Bug: Tracker item: #4327 - - Reports in 9x: Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 300 seconds exceeded in smarty_internal_data.php - http://dev.tiki.org/item4327 [17:01]
Zenoarildb apache studio doesn't tell me anything I didn't know :( [17:07]
arildbok, too bad [17:08]
Zenoso I'm stuck in admin can bind, my user can't bind, anonymous bind works
but tiki will say invalid password no matter the settings I use
probably the problem is in the search method
but I don't have a clue on how to fix that
[17:08]
arildbZeno: what kind of LDAP server are you targeting?
I tried OpenLDAP, and think I had to shift the params a bit between Base DN and User DN to get it working
I used Search Scope: Base Object
[17:12]
Zenoit's the AD in my company
that's why I can't change stuff inside :(
[17:16]
arildbZeno: If you are using SSL, I assume you have the php_openssl.php activated
on windows I don't think it properly notifies about such errors

arildbdo you mean the forum attachments? [21:22]
RobertPlummerarildb: right

[21:23]
arildbRobertPlummer: did you try to run an explain on the sql [21:26]
changijoined #tikiwiki [21:28]
RobertPlummerarildb: No
arildb: But I can say this, I think it has something to do with cookies or cache, even though it comes to that one query and dies.
If I have 2 browsers open, 1 will be fine, the other will act like it is dying right when it goes to query.
If I wait about 10 minutes, I can navigate fine until I visit a forum thread, and then the situation repeats.
arildb: A real mind bender!
[21:28]
arildbRobertPlummer: Try to check in MySQL Administrator (or similar) ..check connections...and see if the query is hanging or not...when the problem occurs
RobertPlummer: Also try to determine the problem input parameters. Try rerunning the problem SQL in a query browser, i.e. outside Tiki
then run explain <sql>
Note this query has 2(!!) count statements in it. Not good news for InnoDB users, like myself. count is a light operation with MyISAM, but can be heavy in InnoDB
