fabricius: i'm installing 9.2 now fabricius: cool gour: ...but it takes some time...hopefully everything is fine fabricius: you have a linux and command line?
can you use svn checkout? gour: yes, but i launched web installer Jyhem: Can I include a cookie value in a wiki page ? Bsfez: hi all Jyhem: No cokie related plugin? I am disappointed. i thought we had some for everything :-) fabricius: Jyhem do not know
hi Bsfez gour: installer took quite some time to finish fabricius: gour: there are no plugins, but most features are there Bsfez: I need to display in a module (col) a random image from a gal, just the image. I'm fighting with different plugins and can't get it right.
have an idea ? fabricius: and not to hard to get in new ones if there is a coder Jyhem: silly me. jquery can read cookies fabricius: have to go for a while

cheers everybody Jyhem: byr torsten gour: thanks fabricius Jyhem: bye torsten Bsfez: by
bye Torsten refizul: Bsfez: banner is useful for random images Bsfez: hi Frank
didn't thought about this good one. :) But i need the file gallery to consult the images.
image feature has such tools but i'd rather not start using a deprecated feature. refizul: I did this a few weeks ago
define an own module for this
put all posible images into a special file gallery
then you can choose "random image from gallery: ..." Bsfez: yes i now it is working for feature image. I would have prefer not using it as it will be remove from Tiki. refizul: wait - I mixed that
I tested file gallery and banner, and banner helps to create random images
I didn't use files from file gallery to create the banner, but this should be possible
I assigned several images to a banner zone, then I used the zone name for my own module Bsfez: mmm… will check that however quit complicate for something simple refizul: once you know how it is simpler than it sounds
it puzzled me, too - at the beginning
there are some tricks with layout, too
frameless modules and things like that Bsfez: k Tiki-KGB: tikiwiki 03robertplummer r43989 10trunk/lib/core/JisonParser/WikiCKEditor/Handler.php

I'm getting a blank page after having run install. All I see in the error log is: [16-Nov-2012 20:27:37] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined method TikiLib::list_slide_styles() in /home7/hrsmsorg/public_html/home/lib/prefs/slide.php on line 12 Bsfez: hrsms: some tips; try other pages like tiki-login_scr.php, check memory 128mb is just 256mb is cool, hrsms: tiki-login_scr.php results in blank page also. Same message in error log Bsfez: tiki-check.php ?
how much memory you have have for the domain running ur tiki ? fabricius: ola
demo up again ... Bsfez: :(
דרט :(
arf… hebrew rtl, i meant " :) " of course fabricius: hrsms: which Tiki version / which PHP version -> please run yourdomain.com/tiki-check.php if any accessible ... maybe copy it out from the Tiki root (installation) folder one level higher and trgger it from via a direct pathh ... tiki-check.php (including php.info) will tell you a number of things, which could help us to guess why things do not work right away on the server and what to do hrsms: tiki 8.1; PHP 5.2.17
I could not find tiki-check.php. I copied tiki-login_scr.php up a level and went to that address. It also resulted in a blank screen. fabricius: hmmm tiki-check is in 9.2 or 9.x (SVN), sorry for not mentioning that ... 8 is not LTS - just a midterm version - please use 9 - > and PHP 5.3 ... there should be an addhandler or an cgi, if your provider has 5.3 but maybe not by default
you can download tiki-check.php standalone out of the sourceforge repository of Tiki 9 (9.2?) and upwards
if you would insist on Tiki 8 hrsms: I'm on a new host that has SimpleScripts, and I thought I'd try using it to upgrade. The site was not initially created with SimpleScripts. It was originally 5.3, and I manually uploaded versions 6.1 and 8.1 over time, and before moving to the current host [more..]
I was hoping SimpleScripts would make my upgrades faster and easier. I guess because it was not installed using SimpleScripts, it (SimpleScripts) thought I was still on 4.1. I tried it anyway (after doing a backup). fabricius: do you have shell access (SSH) hrsms: That failed, so the site was restored. But afterward I had a warning about my tiki DB version. It instructed me to run the install to update the version. I did. And afterward I got the blank screen. fabricius: there lies the most easy way to run a tiki
memory limit is at? hrsms: No shell access fabricius: should be 256M with Tiki9 ... least 128 with Tiki8 hrsms: I believe 128 fabricius: no shell is not so nice ....
ftp so hrsms: Any knowldge of whether BlueHost will allow 256 when I go to 9.2?
Message about shell access on Bluehost: For security reasons, shell access is not enabled by default. In order to activate shell access on your account. Please note: You account must be verified with our Verification Department to enable SSH Access. Please contact us if you need to verify your account.
I guess I can get it, but have to jump through hoops to do so. fabricius: should work with .htacess ... Blue Host should not complain
I hvebeen at a Blue Host Server ... yes they mostly offer ssh ... very good hrsms: But I wouldn't know what to do with the access. I don't know unix very well.
That is unix, yes? fabricius: you should get it, as it makes a few tasks way easier and faster
yes, but only certain steps
I could easily explain once you have it and catch me here hrsms: Will that help me upgrade to 9.2 in any way? fabricius: just some copy paste mainly ... lateron some more decent knowlege of the shell would be helpful
mind that: only a lazy administrator is a good administrator hrsms: It looks like I have shell access now. But I have to download something to use it. PuTTy? Will you be here for a while? I'll install this and come back. fabricius: fresh installation of a Tiki9 Branch from SVN -> create the folderstructure where you want to install the Tiki into -> "$ cd path-to-the-future-tiki-root" -> "$ svn checkout http//adress-to-tiki-on-sourceforge..." -> drink a coffee -> "$ sh setup.sh" -> browser and start tiki-install.php
thats pretty much it
Putty only from windows
you can log in to the server from your local ubuntu terminal hrsms: I'm on a windows machine now fabricius: very practical this is
oh sad hrsms: ubuntu? fabricius: then you nee putty
yes hrsms: What is ubuntu? fabricius: since I switched from w7 to ubuntu I save pretty much a lot of time!
linux! hrsms: oh...
sorry to be so thick... fabricius: never missed Windows after the first days
hehe
have 12.04 now with gnome3 (gnome shell) and gnome extensions give all back to the desktop what was missing from gnome2 in the first time hrsms: I work for a company that does data and 3D modeling for plants (electrical, chemical, power, etc) , ships, and marine structures. It is all Windows based. So that's what I know....
I dabble in PHP for the sake of running my club's website fabricius: ah
for webdesign you can either work with cost intensive software on mac and win or with free software on win and linux - i desided to start second option on win and when I did do the last step into the free world I learne that thi saved mea fortune on time
so job is windows, but for what you need it in your private live?
:-)
just saying - you have the putty anyway
so now login and start to ask :-) hrsms: sticking with one system keeps my life a little more simple :-) fabricius: and lets rock on your linux server+
you already work with more than one
you just pretend to use one hrsms: I think I have the shell session running now fabricius: oh thats quick
you see the prompt? hrsms: let's see if I really do. fabricius: kind of $ hrsms: yes fabricius: $ ls
lists the content of th actual folder hrsms: I see the list of file and folders fabricius: you need to go to public_html or similar
is this in the actual folder?
if not we might find it in a www or customernumber hrsms: Sorry to be such a pain, but.... how do I change folders. Just type in the folder name, or is there a command fabricius: I tell you all, just be my eye hrsms: cd? fabricius: do you see s.th.like public_html?
$ cd foldername hrsms: Yes, that worked. I'm now in public_html. Tiki is installed one folder down in "home" fabricius: I would suggest to setup a new folder "tikiwesites"
+b hrsms: Why the new folder? I'd just like to understand. fabricius: you do not want to store files in the database and mostly not in the root ... and you want to have all possible installations nicely structured and tiki apart from other cms
so a folder structure providing a "container" for each domain/install
just a suggestion hrsms: public_html/home is the current folder for my tiki site. Nothing else is there. Is that not sufficient? fabricius: you could now install anywhere, but get a mess at some point+
no - never install in the serverroot / the html root
what if you nee a second installation? -> install a Tiki in a Tiki? verrry bad
then you have custom files in an installation - css, grafics, maybe additional scripts ... ouch what a mess after a short while hrsms: I'm losing you. I need to back up and get some terms clarified, if you have the patience for me. fabricius: ah sorry /home
sorry hrsms: This is OK then? fabricius: but make at least a /home2 or so ... just one installation by itself
if the existing is directly in /home
maybe I did missunderstand you ... I do not see it hrsms: If I understand it, /home7/hrsmsorg is the highest level on the Bluehost server that I have.... fabricius: you should have at least an empty folder and inside this empty folder for files and one for the tiki checkout
that would be a starter
and this inside public_html
so hrsms: I'm not seeing my entries anymore. Testing......
OK, they are back!
home7/hrsmsorg/public_html/home is the location of my tiki installation fabricius: $ mkdir container container/files container/SVN_90_Branch
container might be a descriptive name of your site or simply tiki
then
$ cd container/SVN_90_Branch
and report
:-)
we want to try a clean empty installation not interfering with anxything that exists
fresh code and copy of the database
tell me when you are in your SVN folder hrsms: Where are we going with this? I'll be renaming the branch to the current install? So that existing links do not break? fabricius: I hope Blue host provides svn - then we are half done now
iyou first hand try a fresh installation handmade and fast - then you check the upgrade, but not braking anything - finally you can use this installation if everything worked by switching the domain
if you create the extra folders as said you cannot brake code, cause different directory hrsms: Hmmm. So the directories you suggested are under what folder? home7/hrsmsorg? Same level as public_html? fabricius: you create them in public_html ... I do not see your content and thus do not see if home/hrmsmorg is nice ... can move later, so make it in public_html for now
see it as training, which you can use or delete like you want - no panic :-) hrsms: I created them in the wrong spot. What is the command for deleting a directory, please? fabricius: ouch hrsms: bump your toe? fabricius: $ rm directory
(remove) hrsms: rmdir seems to have worked too fabricius: so we have now ... cd ls mkdir rm
cool sometimes more than one path to heaven
so I fag you create and cd ? brb hrsms: I am now in public_html/hrsms_tiki/SVN_90_Branch fabricius: cool hrsms: just to make sure I understood...you're taking a smoking break? fabricius: so I go now to http://dev.tiki.org/Get+Code, there I scroll down and copy / paste the checkout code for you
rolled - will smoke whilst the checkout
$ svn checkout https://tikiwiki.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/tikiwiki/branches/9.x .
pleas copy it WITH THE DOT .
to make sure you checkout right in this directory hrsms: it's doing something. Hope it's good. fabricius: lines after lines scroll down now?
if yes it is good hrsms: Yes.
What part of the world are you in, may I ask? fabricius: needs a few minutes - get a coffe or a tea - I smoke now brb
Germany
6:15 in the morning hrsms: Pretty early for Saturday !!! fabricius: so it's actually late
:-)
tell when the prompt comes back again in afew minutes hrsms: Where is your wife then? Is she away from home, or are you? Don't mean to pry. Just friendly chat. fabricius: she is away from me, will see her in 3 month and look forward big time hrsms: business? fabricius: kind of hrsms: I lived in Denmark for a year. We spent some time in Germany. I liked it very much. fabricius: but such private stuff is more for query I think
cool where are you? hrsms: Don't understand "more for query". But I wasn't going to ask any more. fabricius: ok hrsms: Virginia, USA
Prompt is back fabricius: "more for query" was bad english ... translated by word sry ... meant "better to be discussed in query"
§ sh setup.sh
sry
$ sh setup.sh hrsms: What is "in query". Some IRC thing I am unaware of? fabricius: ah query is a private chat when you click on the username in the userlist hrsms: Now I understand. fabricius: depending on the IRC client kind of a new tab opens and there you can have a private chat apart from the public here hrsms: # sh setup.sh sh: setup.sh: No such file or directory fabricius: hmmm let me check
there should be a file this name in the tiki installation directly in the root folder
$ ls
pls look fyor it
/s/fyor/for hrsms: I had to cd to 9.x
Should have known fabricius: ah you maybe did make it without the dot . grrml I said, but don't mind hrsms: You are not root or you are on a shared hosting account. You can now: 1- ctrl-c to break now. or 2- If you press enter to continue, you will probably get some error messages but it (the script) will still fix what it can according to the permissions of your user. This script will now ask you some questions. If you don't know what to answer, just press enter to each question (to use default value) fabricius: so you have a 9.x folder inside the SVN_90_Branch?
just click through hrsms: grrml? fabricius: just a sound I make frequently
it is kind of a grunt ... in IRC I have to write it hrsms: I accidentally entered some unexpected responses while trying to copy that text. Not sure if any harm was done.
now what, sir? fabricius: me too
what you see in the command line?
last message? hrsms: hrsmsorg@hrsms.org [~/public_html/hrsms_tiki/SVN_90_Branch/9.x]
Does it hurt to run it over again? fabricius: seems to be kind of a prompt
setup.sh? not really - maybe nedd twice then - leave it for now, once you went through to the end once
/s/ned/need hrsms: I think it is the normal prompt. Waiting for me to do more
Next? steve____: joined #tikiwiki fabricius: ok you should be done for now - another time we should ty down the permissions to a minimum, but that is a different thing
we need a temporary adress for your Tiki now
would you mind to setup a subdomain with the path to the tikiroot?
-> /public_html/hrsms_tiki/SVN_90_Branch/9.x
you can switch to the control center now hrsms: If you think that is best. Right now I've just navigated to that address and I see the installer page fabricius: ah very good - so no need for a subdomain right now hrsms: control center = CPanel? fabricius: you need an empty database
yep CPanel hrsms: I'm going through the installer. PHP memory_limit is at 128. It needs to be 256? fabricius: so create a database, write down the credentials in an editor and enter the database in phpMyAdmin hrsms: OK. But I thought the installer would create one for me. No? fabricius: you need the empty database and we want to make sure, that the charset kollation is set to UTF-8 hrsms: working on it fabricius: nobody understand why the default still is latin_1 on almost every server
ok hrsms: name does not matter? Not keeping it? fabricius: name, username, password - you need it for the Tiki installer
mind, if the host is different than "localhost" ... if I rememberright at Blue Host it is simply "localhost" hrsms: add "all priveleges" for admin user? fabricius: the user you use for the Tiki install should have all privileges, yes hrsms: I have the empty database fabricius: entered phpMyAdmin? hrsms: yes fabricius: so now it differs from ISP to ISP ... I think you have to click on the databasename first
you should see then a tab "operations" or similar (top right of the browser window) hrsms: I am in operations
collation is latin1_swedish_ci fabricius: scroll down a bit and find a fiels "collation" with a dropdown
yes - change that to UTF-(
UTF-8
sry hrsms: utf8_bin? fabricius: utf8_unicode_ci should be best hrsms: ok
done fabricius: utf8_general_ci appeared to work aswell
ok
done inside phpMyAdmin
installer now - Tiki we are coming hrsms: What about the memory? fabricius: ah that - forgot to rename the _htaccess into .htaccess
you can do that from cPanel FTP or commandline
inside you need to change one line
actually delete a #
because # is the charavçter for comments in the .htaccess hrsms: ready fabricius: original is:
#php_value memory_limit 256M
change to:
php_value memory_limit 256M
simple
ah it is the _htaccess in the Tikiroot and only this - there are a few
so only rename and change this one hrsms: I started the install over again, and it still says 128 fabricius: did you rename and uncommented ?
but we can go through the installer first - 128 should be enough to finish it hrsms: yes, and yes fabricius: hmmm .htaccess should work on Blue Host
anyway continue the installer first and see where it brings us to hrsms: installer seems to be setting the comment back. I change, save, close, reopen, and the comment is gone. I run the installer, reopen, and the comment is back. fabricius: ouch hrsms: I am entering the empty database name fabricius: which comment? hrsms: for the memory.
I've moved on and am now at the database step
What about this comment...
Highly recommended for new installations. However, if you are upgrading or migrating a previous tiki database, you are recommended to uncheck this box fabricius: yes good hrsms: I'll be migrating my old database later? fabricius: credentials and so on - you run through
yes later hrsms: So it should be unchecked? fabricius: unchecked? hrsms: Or no? We went to that trouble to do the collation... fabricius: no we need it
a new one hrsms: database engine? fabricius: we did not do anything with the old - have a new one, so just populate a new database hrsms: MyISAM or InnoDB? fabricius: there must be a button - you entered the credentials and now you must create the database (tables) in the installer
InnoDB
but not important hrsms: Changed to InnoDM and clicked "install". Installation complete. fabricius: developers have not yet finally desided what eventually to recommend as both are tested
super hrsms: general admin page fabricius: now you can type in some credentials if you want and click until you enter and lock (left button)
tell me, if you see the tiki-index.php or s.th. else hrsms: tiki-index.php fabricius: cool
so it worked out hrsms: Is it now possible to get my current site using 9.2? fabricius: when you want to upgrade the oldsite, you take a dump from the old one - phpMyAdmin export - and you tick include "dump" parameter
arrgl (which means another grunt) ... "drop table" parameter not dump!!!
I misstyped that
so if you use the "drop table" thing you need even not to delete the tables of the new database befor you import
BUT best wouldbe to delete the tables of the new one before you import
(different versions) hrsms: there are tons of options here !!!!
You mean this one:
Add DROP TABLE / VIEW / PROCEDURE / FUNCTION / EVENT statement fabricius: you might face charset or entity problems on the new site - cross fingers that not, cause that'd be kind of ugly
yes the drop table statement hrsms: And the others should be on or off?
Add CREATE PROCEDURE / FUNCTION / EVENT statement
CREATE TABLE options:
IF NOT EXISTS
AUTO_INCREMENT fabricius: actually your site will be 9.x and not 9.2
most on
hehe
i just go to a phpmyadmin looking
checking
ah none open ,,, too lazy to get the passwords
if you can choose between either or, just take option both
and maily click through
mainly hrsms: I left the settings as they were and clicked "GO". The dump has been saved to a file on the server fabricius: so for today we do it the dumb way and download it, import fro disk ... next time we learn export/import via command line (would have been imported by now).
I see you seem to be on the way to import hrsms: ? fabricius: maybe delete the tables before, import the file and clicck through the installer again
same procedure hrsms: OK...
Select all tables and "drop"? fabricius: yes
nearly falling asleep now hrsms: I've moved to import tab, selected file from server. Ready to click "GO"? fabricius: yes
getting a fag and hope you report success before I'm knocked out
;-) hrsms: import in progress....
taking a long time.... fabricius: yes runtime the risky thing
I hope you have not many files in the database hrsms: It is done. I've gone through the installer. Partial success. fabricius: whazup? hrsms: I see my home page, but some of the pages do not work. Care to look, or are you "knocked out"?
http://www.hrsms.org/hrsms_tiki/SVN_90_Branch/9.x/Home+Page fabricius: I think it cannot really work, if you had absolute links in it
maybe switch domain to it for a moment to check? hrsms: Actually, everything seems to be working except that all the categories are gone. The pages I saw not working are using the categories. Since there are none, they just come up blank. Maybe they are not deleted. Maybe I just have to turn Categories on in admine
admin
That's not it. This feature is active fabricius: how they disappear? have been in the original I guess
yes the models do not work hrsms: the categories exist in the new database. I can see them in tiki_categories table fabricius: maybe an issue to ask in the devlist or the userlist hrsms: what are these? fabricius: tiki does not recognise them whilst they are in the table?
the lists? hrsms: I guess I don't know what these lists are. Forums? fabricius: only thing we do not dogfood due to tradition ... our sourceforge lists
r you registered on tiki.org? hrsms: I think so.... fabricius: there are our forums .... checking for the link to the lists hrsms: Tracker images are gone too. fabricius: https://tiki.org/Mailing+lists
did you store in db or in directory? hrsms: Directory, I think.
above public_hrml? fabricius: then you need to copy to /files
no inside
maybe you have em in the old tiki root
should go to a directory besides the tikiroot
another day hrsms: No, I mean I think my folder for files and images is in a folder called tikifiles at the same level (not above) as public_html fabricius: hmm but the path changed _ tiki cannot find them hrsms: You've been so helpful. I'm very grateful !!! fabricius: need to change the path ../../../somewhere hrsms: But, I do have one more question.... fabricius: yes? hrsms: How can I replace the existing tiki with this one? It would be good if this 9.x install was at hrsms.org/home so that any links to those pages are still valid. fabricius: you simply need to point the domain
cPanel
domain admin area change the path hrsms: Rename "home" to "archive" and rename "9.x" to "home"? fabricius: it isabit awkward in cPanel
no hrsms: then what? fabricius: your domain points now to public_html/home/hrsms right?
should be switched to public_html/hrsms/SVN_90_Branch/9.x
But hrsms: no, it points to public_html. There I have a welcome screen - just an index.html From there you click to enter the tiki. fabricius: I would move the whole Tikiroot one level higher (in SVN_90_Branch) and delete 9.x
double container is useless
mom checking hrsms: I did that because at one time I had more than the tiki and wanted to be able to navigate to both
Go to hrsms.org and you'll see the welcome screen fabricius: have it hrsms: Go to hrsms.org/home and you would see the current tiki, but it is not working fabricius: click on it gives me a blank screen
ahhh hrsms: long story, that fabricius: ok in this setup you are right hrsms: tried upgrading using a script. It didn't work.
right about what? Just rename the folders? fabricius: I must think about how best to do, cause you have the absolute folders in the url
like on demo.t.o hrsms: demo.t.o ??? fabricius: maybe renaming, but then the container idea ... is it important to solve before this evening?
short for demo.tiki.org hrsms: not imperative, no. It is not a commercial site. fabricius: may I suggest a subdomain or so?
depends on your plans anyway hrsms: No plans. How would I use a subdomain in this situation? fabricius: or you take the start page into tiki andforward to future projects from there
use subdomain for them
if it is all the same, your setupmakes no sense hrsms: I guess links to hrsms.org/home would cease to work. That's not the end of the world. Most links are proably just to hrsms.org. And I doubt too many links to us exist anyway. fabricius: and you even could setup different sites in Tiki to a certain extent
not necessarily cease to work, as I could write you a rewrite rule for the htaccess hrsms: ah, yes. I've even done that myself, long ago. Forgot about it. fabricius: one line might do it
make a tiki landingpage like the index one, just as wikipage
and you should activate SEFurl
write to the list or forum regarding the category issue hrsms: Is is possible to make hrsms.org go directly to SVN_90_Branch/9.x/Home+Page? I thought bluehost controlled that, and it goes to public_html? fabricius: you point it to 9.x and you configure the actual home in Tiki - can be literally anything hrsms: grrml....
(to borrow a grunt phrase)
I don't get it.... fabricius: somewherein the cPanel you shoul find an option to define where the domain points to hrsms: Oh....
I didn't know that was possible. fabricius: maybe get some assistance from blue host - you pay for it hrsms: OK. I won't ask you :-)
But I really do appreciate the hours of help you've given. Very generous!! I wish I could buy you a beer.
(presuming you drink beer - no German stereotyping) fabricius: it might be, that the first (main) domain is a bit different with cPanel and with blue host
:-D hrsms: I guess I'll call it quits for the night. It's 2:30am and I'm going to get yelled at when I crawl into bed. fabricius: maybe we one day meet up at aTikiFest or so ... they are not only for devs andI hope you like to contribute to the community
I am getting knocked aswell
seas hrsms: I've had ideas for things I'd like to develop, but I don't think I'll even find the time. It's been two years since I've worked on a boat model. That should be my priority. But if I can contribute withouth spending hundreds of hours writing code, yes, I would like to give back
"ever" find the time

Only 1 error reported: A [//tiki.org|link|nocache] ... missing http lindonb: joined #tikiwiki Tiki-KGB: tikiwiki 03lindonb r43996 10branches/10.x/lib/filegals/filegallib.php
tikiwiki [FIX] Keep random sorting from causing an an error, for instance when using PluginFiles - thanks to Bernard for reporting. RobertPlummer: arildb: Thanks for running.
arildb: Can you send me the output? arildb: RobertPlummer: it's easy to replicate. Just enable WYSIWYG on your local system. That will create the WYSIWYG Sample file. Then run htmlconvert RobertPlummer: ah, very good.
arildb: What this means now is that basically we just need to configure ckeditor to have add a few additional attributes on certain items and we will be very close to alpha/beta, already past experimental. arildb: It's looking much better, but I think some more testing is required. I can help with this part
RobertPlummer: would be nice to have a more compact report created by htmlconvert, maybe with explcit runs to show details
messy with a lot of pages RobertPlummer: arildb: I know, but I wanted to have all the output, when you run, you could send to me, and I could fix. arildb: ok
RobertPlummer: I modified htmlconvert only to report details when an error occured. Hope that's fine Tiki-KGB: tikiwiki 03arildb r43997 10trunk/doc/devtools/htmlconvert.php
tikiwiki [ENH] htmlconvert now only reports the details when the check fails RobertPlummer: arildb: Love it arildb: :-) refizul: I copied a theme in styles/ and try to edit it, but Tiki tells me: Error Incorrect name. But I can apply the theme and I see changes made with an editor. fabricius: what is the name? refizul: I copied from arcturus.css to test-foo-arcturus.css
and I copied the option subdir to new name, too
is this a problem with dashes in filename?
seems so - I can access same file via hardlink filename without dashes fabricius: you should try to rename to a complete new name without hyphen "-"
hyphen, yes, mostlikely refizul: why is that? hrsms: joined #tikiwiki fabricius: hyphen is good for customisations, but for online websitebased editing it doesn't work
don't know refizul: Underlines do not work either fabricius: yes
hyphen was committed to customise without the need of new folders and templates - making variants of existing themes arildb: RobertPlummer: I am downloading a database with lots of HTML wiki pages. Should be a good test database for htmlconvert refizul: Now I edited the css and the file's content was deleted when I saved
I can repeat and reproduce this hrsms: 1) I can't seem to add images to a tracker.
I'm having a couple problems after an upgrade to 9.2 ...
2) special characters are not displayed properly. This includes text I added as well as the >> that tiki uses to separate parent/child categories. So I see parent >> child instead of parent>>child
regarding the tracker images, I see this in the documentation:
The images are stored in the sub directory img/trackers. The filenames are encoded at the upload.
But in the tracker admin I see an option to specify a folder. I'm trying to use this option. arildb: RobertPlummer: I have problems downloading the database, but I tried the page: http://dev.tiki.org/WYSIWYG+testing

can anyone help wiith an upgrade question arildb: USlacker: just state your problem/question. Then wait and see USlacker: Running tiki on amahi. To upgrade they recommend remmoval and re-install :-)
I was wise enough to dump sql ahead of time
and good thing - the uninstall removed the db
so I installed 9.2 and when it finished, removed the new empty db and recreated with my old 6.3 db
then removed the lock file and re-ran tiki-install
it seems to want to create the db from scratch again, even though it is there and populated
how to tell tiki to upgrade not re-install db? arildb: USlacker: You are not getting the upgrade option at the end of the process, only install? USlacker: correct arildb: check local.php and the db settings USlacker: ah - local.php says db is at 9.2
and that's not true arildb: may be from the first install USlacker: so I should change that to 6.3
and try again
? arildb: I don't think it matters much
the username+password is correct, and the db rights are set OK? USlacker: yes -: arildb out of ideas USlacker: arildb - thanks! gour: left #tikiwiki USlacker: arildb: think I found the issue
my sql dump was truncated
saved by a backup however
:-) arildb: USlacker: lucky USlacker: luck favors the prepared! arildb: yes USlacker: that did it. I now have an upgrade prompt!
well, backups FTW! refizul: anyone experience with Tiki on PHP+Suhosin? Tiki-KGB: tikiwiki 03jonnybradley r43998 10branches/10.x/lib/videogals/kalturalib.php
