kstingelis there a way (in SVN) to add an alternate URL for externals?
I'm thinking, it could be worth doing an import of Zend into our third_party tree then set trunk + branches/x.y + tags/x.y to pull in third_party/Zend
... that could solve the (frequent) problems encountered updating working copies ... (my updates always seem to fail when the zend connection is forcibly closed)
[03:31]

RobertPlummerHey guys, looks like parts of aloha editor were not created to work like ckeditor with the ease of adding attributes. That is the bad news.
The good news is that they use the same open culture that powers jquery and tiki, and I've found out how to add a quick event in that allows us to tie into the system nearly exactly like ckeditor.
So I've shown my code to their devs, and am awaiting their reply. With ckeditor I've not gotten so much as a reply when talking with them, with aloha, the devs are all over viral interest.
Woohoo!
[18:30]

arildbfabricius: Not as I see it, no. But it seems to be an excellent "audit" tool [18:39]
RobertPlummerfabricius: Unfortunately yes, at least for jison. CKE destroys tons of content on load time and they contenteditable isn't built to recognized by children, so we have tons of problems listing plugins directly out on the page.
arildb: ^
fabricius: We are just testing it right now, and seeing about getting proper licensing.
[18:40]
arildb"audit" may be the wrong word, but it is editing the content of existing pages. Not creating new ones [18:41]

arildbfabricius: When I tried the aloa editor, I did not see an obvious way to create new elements. Also the aloha edit onsy support a subset of html [18:42]
RobertPlummerfabricius: I have it working locally, it loads up, it doesn't save yet, wanted to get some dev feedback on the modifications I've done to events.
fabricius: No toolbar integration yet.
[18:43]
luciasharildb: u mean new editable area on the page ? whole page can be editable area, no ? [18:43]
fabriciusarildb: when I tried, I could not even save ... but think, that might be cause it was demo [18:43]
RobertPlummerfabricius: tTikipad? [18:44]
arildbluciash: yes, elements all over the page can be edited, it seems
fabricius: yes, I think the missing save was the demo setup
[18:44]
RobertPlummerarildb: They documentation is a bit out of date, they support a bit more at this point. [18:44]
luciasharildb: u add new element by typing and selecting from the toolbar to format it
afaics
[18:44]
arildbluciash: could be. Anyhow there is the issue about the aloha editor not supporting all tags...though I am not completely sure what that implies. [18:45]
fabriciusRobertPlummer: "Tikipad" would be AWESOME ... imagine: simultaneous editing a wikipage with WYSIWYG-Wiki like it was an "Etherpad" ... realtime collaboration
RobertPlummer: just thinking loud
[18:46]
arildbfabricius: I love the idea! [18:48]
luciashfabricius: those "real time editing" sounds very cool, but in fact nobody uses them in reality - from my experience nobody was willing to go further than test and say it's cool [18:48]
RobertPlummerhttp://stackoverflow.com/questions/9081608/implementing-a-generic-real-time-collaborative-editor-plugin-like-google-docs [18:49]

RobertPlummer: is it normal ?
[21:33]
RobertPlummerchangi: I don't know, have you been able to in the past? [21:34]
changiYes, apparently since the 12 novembre, it's broken [21:35]
RobertPlummerchangi: If you let me know what errors you are getting, I can fix it.
changi: Is it in trunk or 10?
[21:36]
changiRobertPlummer: trunk [21:36]
RobertPlummerchangi: Any clue as to where it is failing? [21:36]
changiRobertPlummer: PHP Fatal error: Maximum function nesting level of '100' reached, aborting! in /usr/share/php/PHP/CodeSniffer/File.php on line 1416 [21:36]
RobertPlummerchangi: No more detail on it?
changi: It will nest as many times as there are html elements. We need to work out a caching system for optimum speed and resources.

RobertPlummer: When do you expect to commit the Aloha editor updates?
[22:43]
.... (idle for 15mn)
gourso much talk about this aloha editor...is it replacment for tinymce, ckeditor & co. ? [22:59]
arildbgour: I guess we are not sure about the outcome yet, but I currently see the aloha editor as an edit-tool for existing page and not for creating new pages [23:00]
gourarildb: i see...so it's not as powerful yet? [23:02]
arildbgour: However, if nobody is willing to maintain the ChEditor, we may need an alternative. Maybe the alhoa editor is "fuller" when hosted in the Tiki environment, instead of on a public demo page [23:02]
gourgour is fighting with nginx setup on his server...php-fpm is listening on local port, nginx does not :-/
ahh, good
after i resolve this server issue, i may start to migrating my site(s) to tiki :-)
[23:03]
have you considered http://www.wymeditor.org/ ? [23:08]
fabriciusjoined #tikiwiki [23:11]
arildbgour: I had a quick look. wymeditor also swicthes context like the ckeditor. So, they seem to play the same role. Aloha allows in-context editing, true wysiwyg
A potential limitation/problem with the Aloha editor is that it seems to lack support for certain (critical) html tags .... nobody seems to know exactly which effect that has
[23:13]
gouri'm curios about the possibilities to create tiki content offline in a more structured way to, possibly, get better xhtml [23:16]
arildbarildb eagerly awaits RobertPlummer's aloha integration [23:17]
gourprobaly, that means using wiki makup, right? [23:17]
RobertPlummerarildb: The biggest problem right now is jQuery, aloha has it's own way of loading it,.
arildb: I hate when libs try to be magic, just let me choose what I want and don't want to load!
[23:18]
gourgour nods [23:18]
arildbRobertPlummer: I am sure the problem is in good hands [23:19]
