I want to add a script that depends on jquery.js but needs to load after jquery.js. I can't find a way to do this with L&F customization textareas, which place their contents either in head or just before the body close tag but ahead of jquery.js and other javascript. The script works if I edit tiki.tpl to add the script just after the headerlib output. Any ideas? Tiki-KGB: tikiwiki 03kstingel r44254 03users/kstingel/PHPdocProj
tikiwiki [NEW] created working folder for PHPdoc edits kstingel: is there anyone here who can add the current /trunk to my (new) working folder for me? ... I don't know how to do it
I figure, if I copy the trunk into my new workspace, I can make my PHPdoc edits there and not risk confilicts with ongoing branches/10.x merging :) chibaguy: kstingel, can you do an SVN check out of trunk in your working folder?
I'm no subversion guru, and I use tortoise-svn on windows for this kind of thing, but that may be the way to do it. kstingel: chibaguy: I'm using Ubuntu and commandline - that's why I'm lost lol
effectively, what I'm looking to do is create a branch from trunk into users/kstingel/PHPdocProj/ - but I don't know the commands to do it
when I did a co of trunk into "<workspc>/src" everytime I did a commit, it commits back into trunk - this is causing havoc with rollout as I'm 'touching' most of the files in Tiki chibaguy: Did you check out http://dev.tiki.org/SVN+Tips ?
Other than that, I have no idea, sorry. :-)

polom all arildb: hi RobertPlummerMob RobertPlummerMob: arildb: hi arildb: RobertPlummerMob: did you add a prototype aloha editor to trunk yet? RobertPlummerMob: arildb: Not yet, I'm stuck on a couple issues we are working out together. arildb: RobertPlummerMob: ok RobertPlummerMob: arildb: I have it all locally, but it isn't loading because of the odd way they load jQuery ui
and jquery
arildb: Also funding from my primary source for it has run out, but I have another source that has agreed to fund, so we should be good there.
arildb: But as for today, working on jQuery.sheet and some non-tiki stuff.
arildb: If you'd be interested in working with us to implement aloha, the added help would be awesome. Is now still a bad time? arildb: RobertPlummerMob: glad to hear it's progressing. ... if you let me know a little more about the state... then let's see. RobertPlummerMob: arildb: I could commit what I have to trunk, it won't hurt anything, but things need to change with aloha for it to work correctly. Good news is that they are willing to accept those changes. arildb: RobertPlummerMob: If I am too help out, I guess I need to pickup where you are at. How do we do that? RobertPlummerMob: arildb: Like the adding of attributes to elements being inserted, which was a patch I committed.
arildb: I would need to commit what I have to trunk I think. Then I think a possible meeting about the new parser would be good, that way we can organize what needs to be done. arildb: RobertPlummerMob: will the aloha editor be dependent on the new parser? RobertPlummerMob: arildb: no. And the new parser will not be dependent on aloha editor.
arildb: It is simply a html object manager arildb: RobertPlummerMob: can the current state of the aloha editor implementation be added to trunk as a separate feature? RobertPlummerMob: arildb: as a feature, it is dependent.
arildb: So jison on = aloha editor, jison off = ckeditor
arildb: There is no code in existence for jison + wysiwyg in trunk at the moment, so committed to trunk both will not work right now, so the state doesn't change at all. arildb: RobertPlummerMob: so no jison - no aloha editor ... RobertPlummerMob: arildb: I thought what you meant by jison being dependent is from a programmatic standpoint, from which jison does not depend on aloha editor, it depends on html.
arildb: You got it.
arildb: And it is a really cool framework too, fun to work with. It is very orderly, where as ckeditor..... is not. arildb: RobertPlummerMob: ideally the aloha editor should be parser independent, I guess. Is it only the current implementation that ties it to the jison parser, or are there other dependencies? RobertPlummerMob: arildb: At this point the new parser is still in experimental, BUT because of how far it has come, we've labeled it 'legacy'. If you want to spend hundreds of hours implementing aloha editor into the old parser, you can do that, but I can tell you from the ground up, it has a flawed design which will make implementing a new wysiwyg editor very tedious. rodrigoprimo: joined #tikiwiki arildb: RobertPlummerMob: doesn't sound very attractive, no. RobertPlummerMob: arildb: :) just being honest.
arildb: There is a bit of overhead in learning the new parser, but it's overall design leads to little guess work as to how it will work. arildb: RobertPlummerMob: Is the aloha editor fit to create wysiwyg pages from scratch? RobertPlummerMob: arildb: Oh yes. Absolutely.
arildb: The method they use simply makes the toolbar popup rather than it be placed directly in the pare. arildb: RobertPlummerMob: good, the demos I have tried did not seem that way. RobertPlummerMob: page
arildb: It is just a floating toolbar, not fixed. arildb: RobertPlummerMob: maybe you can make an experimental 'aloha' branch? RobertPlummerMob: arildb: I would do that, but if it is experimental, I feel the overhead of creating a new branch will give us little advantage then just using more of our time. What do you think?
arildb: I guess I need to just bit the bullet and commit it. arildb: RobertPlummerMob: I guess it depends on how well it can be separated from other functionality RobertPlummerMob: arildb: It is completely contained, jison only.
marclaporte, jonnyb: what do you admins think? arildb: RobertPlummerMob: then it sounds safe, and I would say go for it RobertPlummerMob: kstingel1 was the other dev interested in using the new parser. jonnyb: what's the question? RobertPlummerMob: Should we use trunk to go ahead and commit aloha editor?
jonnyb: ^ jonnyb: i doubt it - sounds like a huge change RobertPlummerMob: It is experimental and will not load without jison
ckeditor when jison is off
jonnyb: Actually no change, all [NEW] jonnyb: yes, but these kind of things always lead to loads of regression fixes in stable features (which i seem to end up doing) RobertPlummerMob: I guess there is a little change
ok, new experimental branch it is arildb: RobertPlummerMob: it's safest jonnyb: has everyone else switched to the new sf.net repo? i'm about half way through :( RobertPlummerMob: jonnyb: Not yet, have no idea what to do

I thought the migration will took me 1 hour. -: changi don't commit anymore on the old repository jonnyb: i'm still about half way through
can you not make the old repo read only? changi: jonnyb: not globaly.
jonnyb: i don't understand why sf didn't do that after the svn copy on the new location jonnyb: also (although i've changed most of my tiki now) couldn't we keep the same uuid on the new one? changi: jonnyb: the problem is that sf.net during migration didn't take the commit which was done during the migration
jonnyb: i did a sync between the two repository, that's why we have different UUID jonnyb: which means every single tiki svn checkout needs deleting and replacing? not good... (especially for customised sites) changi: jonnyb: customised web site will have specific files mark as M (modified) so the diff will be possible jonnyb: can you not change the uuid now? i don't mind redoing all mine (much)
