godday!
dear IRC-channel, I need some help
I installed Tiki Wiki last week and have been playing around with the settings. Lastly I changed the password of my only user (except admin) and requested a confirmation sent by e-mail. I also added a field for e-mail at log in. Not the problem: I haven't seen any confirmation e-mail (I have a vague memory of a warning message saying that from-site-e-mailing was not setup properly). So now I can not log in to the site! Not even admin
... supply both username and e-mail and I think I used the default e-mail. How can I get in to my site again??

tikiwiki [FIX] Maps: map controls not to overlap stuff and better readability of lat/lon on dark map areas in the bg (thanks mlaporte)
ricks99: Eke: if you have access to the MySQL DB, you can reset the password, as described in FAQ http://doc.tiki.org/Tiki FAQs

arildb: Does anybody know how I can limit the visibility of a sidebar module to when a wiki page is displayed?
I mean any wiki page, but only for wiki pages...not admin pages, forums, etc.
ricks99: yes. use the section parameter. Pls see docs http://doc.tiki.org/Module+Settings+Parameters
arildb: ricks99: thanks...checking
ricks99: section=wiki page works! Thanks again
ricks99: you're welcom

tikiwiki [FIX] (backport) do not crash when requested item does not exist
Eke: ricks99: Thanks! But I remember the admin pass. It's the admin e-mail and the user pass I forgot.
It appears like both the user and the e-mail is required
ricks99: you can set the admin email from the db, too (or re-run installer)
Eke: ok, thanks!
ricks99: if a user has forgotten their login iformation, they can simply use the I FORGOT MY PASSWORD link (if you enabled the option)
Eke: yes, but there are no e-mails sent from the site
ricks99: did u test the email functionality as part of installation?
are you using phpsendmail or smtp
Eke: no I didn't test it, planned to do it later and then forgot it
using the default option I guess
to set the details of the admin account I shall execute the following on the db: insert into users_users (login, email, hash) values('admin', 'admin@e-mail.com', md5('adminpassword'))
and replace the values?
ricks99: k. rerun the installer. step 2 or t3 will allow you to test email. http://twbasics.tikiforsmarties.com/Configuring+DB+Connection
vmachine: joined #tikiwiki
Eke: can't do for the moment .. at work so I don't have access to ftp to delete the lock file
ricks99: k
Eke: but the DB-command would do it?
ricks99: that will reset ur admin
Eke: ok
any idea of what the e-mail might be if I didn't change it?
ricks99: phpsendmail is the default
Eke: but what adress to the admin user?
ricks99: there is no default.
you enter it during installation
Eke: ok, so blank?
ricks99: admin user requires a valid email. either you enter it during installation, or Tiki prompts u to enter it during your initial login.
Eke: Found an online ftp that wasn't blocked .. "Tiki was able to send a test message to myemail@gmail.com." But I haven't recieved any in either inbox or spam .. shouldn't take more than a minute?
ricks99: depednds on your mail host. but most occur within a minute. may need to check your mail logs for details
Eke: still none .. can I access the mail log without login in?
ricks99: mail log should b on y our server -- not a tiki log
Eke: my gmail log?
ricks99: no. your server php mail log
(unless you've configured tiki to send email via gmail?)
Eke: my friend who is hosting says that he has problems with smtp, he is only able to access gmail .. so I guess I will try to change the details of the admin account and then try to reconfigure
argh, just executed the command above on the db and still I cannot log in
I am sure I gave the correct details this time
ricks99: may need to clear caches
Eke: doesn't do the trick
ricks99: not sure. try posting to support forum or email list
Eke: allright, thanks a lot!

trying to upgrade a 6.x (was 6.4) site using svn up gets it only to 6.8, but not 6.9.
Checking on sourceforge I see that the directory for 6.9 is called simply that, not tiki 6.9, as the subversions 6.0 through 6.8 are called. Could this be why svn up isn't upgrading to 6.9? If so, can someone with authority on jsourcefourge fix this please.
