luciash: i do not see any external param on the doc page
yup
http://doc.tiki.org/PluginDatachannel
Robert_R: I don't but in line 141 of the datachannel php it reads if (strpos($parts[1], 'external') === 0) { // e.g. "fieldid,external=fieldname"
therefore the proper syntax should be fieldid, external=fieldname..is tha correct?
The external param shows in the php coding and is noted on the datachannel module popup
luciash: no idea
Jyhem did not code this, lphuberdeau did afaik
Robert_R: wikiplugin_datachannel.php 42820 2012-09-04 12:23:35Z Jyhem $
luciash: that is just who last commited
an edit
Robert_R: ohhh...sorry
He responded to my outstanding question but didn't answer how 1 does it.
I keep slugging away...ths anyway for the responce
luciash: i do not know what "external" reffers to but it is mentioned here: http://doc.tiki.org/Data+Channels
in the DATACHANNEL plugin code example
Robert_R_: joined #tikiwiki
I saw that but didn't understand the syntax
does that mean that if the fieldid is 4 then the full syntax would be"fieldname, external=input[name^='fieldid[']"?
or
fieldname,external=input[name^='4[']
or
fieldname,external=input[name='itemId[4]'
luciash: i guess fieldname,external=input[name='fieldname[]']
where fieldname == name of your field Id 4
Robert_R: joined #tikiwiki
luciash: i guess fieldname,external=input[name='fieldname[]']
where fieldname == name of your field Id 4
what is your field name ?
Robert_R: Thx I'll give that a try...SoccerTeam
luciash: you can check that out with firebug to be sure
Robert_R: Ahh the fieldid is ins_88
Thx again kuci take care
luciash: then it should be SoccerTeam, external=input[name='SoccerTeam[]'] or ins_88,external=input[name='ins_88[]']
or something like that

Hello
A very "little" question
Is it today possible in Tiki9 to associate (in php or smarty) a picture (logo mainly) to a category ?
This is a key feature as well for our current website in development
This exists for topics, but you can't attribute a topic to a wikipage... And I don't want to go the way of parallelizing three different trees : structure // categories // topics...
luciash: polom
joelCOE: Ideally, a unique tool such as categories for everything with the possibility to associate a structure
luciash: joelCOE: hi, probably using CSS
joelCOE: Would be fantastic :)
Hi luciash, yes I can but so far I know it doesn't print...
luciash: doesn't print ?
if u mark print background images it should print
joelCOE: CSS basckground don't print as far as I know...
In browser !
luciash: it must be browser dependent feature
joelCOE: Or there is something in CSS to do this ?
luciash: then jQuery to the rescue
joelCOE: Sure, but why jquery when it can be done "uncosmetically"
...
luciash: then it is not possible in Tiki 9 without hacking the php or smarty code
joelCOE: OK thanks !
luciash: "little" question answered
:)
joelCOE: Will see this with Jean-Marc
;)
Many thanks :)

kstingel: did u enable FollowSymlinks for your Apache in that case ?
otherwise nice blog post ! :)
kstingel: yup ... but I still had a multitude of errors
it's taken me over a month to work out that it was a Symlinking error
luciash: windows symlinks are definitely weird stuff
kstingel: I'm guessing that either Apache or PHP (5.3 and 5.4) didn't think Windows Symlinking was stable enough to use
can't say I blame them ... generally speaking, I don't think Windows is stable enough to use, but I'm forced to keep 1 Windon't computer because parts of my Toolset don't have Linux versions

that would make it Thursday AM for me ... which still leaves me free when summoned by Mother biggrin
not really expecting it to happen tho lol
jonnyb: it was tricky enough getting it fixed on thursday - i couldn't usually do wednesdays, for instance
kstingel|away: jonnyb: at present, is fixed for Friday ... your clocks are slow
jonnyb: tee hee - who's nearer to Greenwich? ;)

kstingel: is there a section on Webinar page where I can request permanent mute? ... so I can listen via speaker and type any responses
jonnyb: you can mute yourself on the listeners list
kstingel: lol ... then I could make it like a classroom and request permission to speak
but if someone clicks on 'un-mute-all' ... then speaker gets drowned out by my keyboard ... and I even trimmed nails incase that was the cause :(
jonnyb: :D
kstingel: meh ... I'll just keep muting self, like I do at present
jonnyb: maybe getting a comfy headset is the way forward - mine has a mute button on the cable
kstingel: ... I refuse to accept that my voice is ready for public consumption
I hate how my voice sounds over headset ... it just sounds wrong ... and slightly out of sync with what I think I just said
I'm using airline earbuds at present ... I have about 20 sets after trip to Tassie in 2010
might have to buy a sedt of mp3 Player earbuds, with better cushioning and sound direction

kstingel: brb .. coffee cup is empty again
one of these days, I'm gonna catch the coffee thief in the act and stitch his little mouth shut so he can';t drink my coffee
