This address has to be subscribed to the mailing list. [01:53] refizul 2) For security (POP3 in Tiki is not SSL encrypted yet) this POP3 account should be in a trusted network reachable from the Tiki server or on the same server [01:54] refizul 3) POC (proof of concept): install Postfix (MTA) and Dovecot (POP3) on your Tiki server with a mailbox for Tiki inbound [01:55] refizul 4) Postfix configuration for MDA: do _not_ choose dovecot, but procmail [01:56] refizul 5) create an user with /home on the Tiki server to receive email [01:57] refizul 6) configure users's .procmailrc to a) process a shell script, and b) to deliver the email via Dovecot [01:58] refizul 7) stripe mailinglist prefix via shell script [01:59] refizul 8) inbound is done, configure a different outbound address for email in Tiki forum [01:59] refizul 9) configure mailman to accept email from this address [02:00] refizul The core part is the shell script and the procmail stuff, but in addition the MDA (mail delivery agent) handling is tricky, too [02:00] refizul Once this all is clear, the coding is quite easy [02:02] refizul A running test implementation for a special community is online here, we'll start crowd testing soon. Admin tests went well. [02:06] refizul As soon the situation is stable, I'll summarize a howto for doc.t.o and provide the shell script template for the Tiki community [02:08] refizul this first IRC quick howto is for the early adopters [02:08] refizul THX for listening ;-) [03:06] astroo- joined #tikiwiki [03:07] goj_killedByISP joined #tikiwiki [04:52] Caarrie|sleeping joined #tikiwiki [05:40] astroo- bye people [07:15] Tiki|bot New Forum Posts: Placed an image at the Bootstrap page that is not correctly appearing - http://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=26&comments_parentId=46942 [08:36] Tiki|bot New Forum Posts: Dynamic menu / toc created through wiki structures? - http://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=6&comments_parentId=46944 [09:31] panamaus joined #tikiwiki [10:30] libs_ joined #tikiwiki [10:59] vmachine joined #tikiwiki [11:00] vmachine left #tikiwiki [11:18] Tiki|bot New Forum Posts: How to use Dynamic Items List with perspectives? - http://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=4&comments_parentId=46945 [12:01] Telesight joined #tikiwiki [12:45] vmachine1 joined #tikiwiki [13:26] GillesMM joined #tikiwiki [13:37] SkiNut joined #tikiwiki [14:37] ricks99 joined #tikiwiki [14:38] ricks99 polom y'all [14:47] fabricius joined #tikiwiki [15:06] HideMe After upgrading from 6.x to 9.x I've noticed some Wiki pages have an odd diamond icon with a question mark in it. [16:06] lphuberdeau joined #tikiwiki [16:08] Jyhem_laptop hi lphuberdeau [16:08] lphuberdeau good morning [16:09] Jyhem_laptop I have a plugin tracker & a plugin datachannel in a page. external=ins_4 works fine for a text field but for drop-down and country fields I get "undefined" or nothing :-( Is that supposed to be possible ? [16:12] Jyhem_laptop Or maybe first fill tracker and then cascade to outputwiki where I put datachannel with the previous values ? But it seems that this would create a new wiki page every time :-( [16:16] vmachine joined #tikiwiki [16:17] vmachine joined #tikiwiki [16:18] vmachine joined #tikiwiki [16:19] lphuberdeau don't really know what you're trying to do, and I know very little about the state of those plugins [16:21] vmachine joined #tikiwiki [16:21] Jyhem_laptop oh. I imagined you had written plugin datachannels. On ne prte qu'aux riches :) [16:23] vmachine joined #tikiwiki [16:25] vmachine joined #tikiwiki [16:25] Jyhem_laptop I'll tie them together with jQuery. That should work [16:26] vmachine joined #tikiwiki [16:29] fabricius joined #tikiwiki [16:29] vmachine joined #tikiwiki [16:34] lphuberdeau well, I wrote that plugin about 4 years ago, it evolved since [16:38] lphuberdeau however, usage is quite limited because of the complete lack of validation [16:39] lphuberdeau so for most serious use cases, you kind of need to hack around it [16:39] lphuberdeau often simpler to just write a custom plugin to do the special form handling, validation, and then call the data channel profile through the libraries... quite trivial actually [16:43] Jyhem_laptop Validation is not the concern. Typos are the concern. So I use the Tracker plugin for data entry since it displays the drop-downs instead of simple text fields. But external=ins_4 works when field "4" is a tracker text field, not when field "4" is a tracker drop-down field [16:44] Jyhem_laptop Any pointer to the "call the data channel profile through the libraries" thing? [17:30] HideMe rick99 Yes, I did see that option but did not run it a the DB is latin1-swedish-ci [17:31] HideMe *as [17:33] ricks99 HideMe: in that case, you'll need to edit the local.php and change the encoding to match your DB. [17:51] ricks99 yes, if that's your encoding [17:52] HideMe rick99 Thank you, issue resolved.
