Hi, I'm well down the track of creating a Crm/Project Management system in tikiwiki, but after hours of work I cannot get wiki page creation from TRACKER (outputtowiki, outputwiki) working reliably. I'd love some pointers in the right direction. Is there anyone out there who could give me some suggestions?
(Nice ones)
astroo-: hello
LordFingle: hello
I'm loving tikiwiki (except for the aforementioned issue which is killing me), you a fan?
If anyone's out there, here's my tracker: {TRACKER(trackerId="6" fields="43:51:45:46:47:49" action="Update Task" embedded="y" url="Tasks" sort="y" view="page" itemId="43" outputtowiki="43" outputwiki="Add New Task Output tpl" formtag="y")}Task Updated.{TRACKER}
In one case it seems that smarty variables in the page "Add New Task Output tpl" such as {$f_51} are not being substituted.
astroo-: LordFingle see the private please

hello.... I am having a problem with automated registrations. How can i keep anyone from *+*@outlook.com from registering?
or maybe i could put an sql script in a cron job to delete those users automatically?
These users create a User page that has a paragraph that is in english but makes no sense really. All the paragraphs are very similar.

refizul: hello snowrichard - circumventing Tiki and manipulating the database might have side effects, but this is possible, if you know what you are doing
there are some methods like captcha to fight spam registration
snowrichard: i do understand databases pretty well and i can open the tiki database in phpmyadmin to view the structure
how do i enable the captcha is it builtin or an addon
refizul: then it is a possibility to drop those accounts via cron
snowrichard: or i could make a php script to do it and just run it myself periodically
refizul: gimme a moment, I'm looking for the captcha
snowrichard: i had considered joining the dev team here at one point. Now i've got more time and less distractions since i've moved.
refizul: you can configure: Validate user's email server
snowrichard: ok is that in the admin menus?
i'll search for it
refizul: admin login
and there is a banning system, too
snowrichard: yeah but i didn't see an option banning to ban by an email address pattern
i've turned the validate email server on
and i'm having validation by email as well
refizul: banning by email seems to be a missing feature
snowrichard: maybe i could work on adding that
refizul: captcha: admin -> security -> tab: spam protection
snowrichard: thank you going there
refizul: you can use Google recaptcha, too
if you can add the feature, this'd be very cool and helpful

snowrichard: is the source code in a Git repo?
i mean i have the 10.2 tarball, and i could put it in a local git for testing
I have the recaptch enabled
richardsnow.info
refizul: the code is svn at SourceForge
snowrichard: svn ok
so many too choose from now used to be just cvs
well its 8:20 am and the captch is now on, lets see if we get any more automated ones in the next hour. :)
going to get coffee

Hi. Just installed 11.x with svn, and on starting it I get the following 2 error msgs: " Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'SmartyException' with message 'Unable to load template file 'tiki-install.tpl' "
and
"SmartyException: Unable to load template file 'tiki-install.tpl' in /var/www/11.x/vendor/smarty/smarty/distribution/libs/sysplugins/smarty_internal_templatebase.php on line 127 "
refizul: omstefanov: owner, group, file permissions?
omstefanov: do you use suphp or something like that?

omstefanov: refizul: i think it's an owner, group file permissions things too. For reasons I don't quite understand, a sudo chown -R user:group directory command in my linux 12.10 doesn't seem to be catching all files
refizul: however, I now see, using phpStorm, that there is simply to file 'tiki-install.tpl' anywhere in the whole 11.x directory tree !!!
where is 'tiki-install.tpl' supposed to be ???
corr of my 1st 19:42 line ... that there is simply NO file 'tiki-install.tpl' anywhere in the whole tiki 11.x directory tree!!!
Bsfez: joined #tikiwiki
refizul: no file? this is odd
should be in the Tiki root
h - no
this is the .php
./templates/tiki-install.tpl
in the templates/ directory
