Now the menu appears as a vertical menu on the top left of the page on the same level as the login box
I want it to be a horizontal menu but I can't seem to edit it anymore. If I go into the modules page and go to 'topbar', it's empty.

yesterday I tried another tiki upgraded to Tiki11, and I was surprised with a few things that didn't work as expected (probably regressions)
and I enabled elFinder but could find no was to use it in file galleries.... jonnyb: hi xavi - ew...
there's a new "view" drop down menu replacing the various browse, list, admin views xavi: hi jonnyb, well, maybe it's just more documentation is needed (I can help with that), and maybe I did hit 3 regressions jonnyb: try "finder" mode on that one xavi: ok, there i go.... jonnyb: yes sorry, no docs :( xavi: I?ll help with that as soon as I have some more time for that in the following weeks....
I think I'll try to reproduce first the issues in demo.t.o/11.x
and I'll try to get elFinder working there in file galleries with this view that you say
when I understand how it works to enable it, how to use it, etc. then I can help documenting it for other end users :-)
so Jonny, is a file gallery like this one in demo.t.o expected to be accessed through el finder?: http://demo.tiki.org/11x/tiki-list_file_gallery.php?galleryId=6
or is elFinder in 11x still only for files in trackers? jonnyb: yes, it's in 11.x xavi: then, how can I use elFinder in this file gallery: http://demo.tiki.org/11x/tiki-list_file_gallery.php?galleryId=6 ? jonnyb: pick "finder" on the new view drop down menu near the nav buttons xavi: ok, therer I go.... jonnyb: i'll send you here: http://demo.tiki.org/11x/tiki-list_file_gallery.php?galleryId=6&view=finder
it'll... xavi: Ah, go it , finally!
uff, I would have never searched for it there....
anyway, at least, I?ll make some screenshot and add it to the documentation in doc.t.o 11x etc
aha, and we can define the default view per file gallery, great! (therefore we can pre-select elFinder in some file gallery of our site, etc)
nice
jonnyb, I've clicked at preview an image (png) through the right-click-menu on teh image (Vagrant Chilling), it's displayed in a popup black box with the image inside (nice!).... but I currecntly can't close that box
I've clicked at the red icon with the circled cross (upper left) but no effect (chromium here)
uff, I could after maximizing the image, then another icon at the bottom showed up, which allowed to close the popup box
mmm, duplicating images (there is an option there) do not duplicate them (unable to copy "File Galleries/dsfg/New Svg Image drawing".
ok, I'll file some bugs in the bug tracker (I'm not sure wether they are regressions or not, since I didn't use elFinder before) jonnyb: sorry, back now xavi: np jonnyb: yes, closing the preview is a known (bad) bug xavi: ok, therefore I don't report this bug, I understand jonnyb: click elsewhere on the elfinder pane or press space (must fix that one!)
duplicate should work... 1 mo xavi: the option to duplicate files should be removed (or fixed)
ok jonnyb: copy/paste files works though, doesn't it? George: joined #tikiwiki xavi: no idea, I haven't tried
(yet)
I'll try ... jonnyb: i've also definitely fixed the issue with the apert icon covering up the text... maybe demo's not up to date
1 mo more, brb xavi: copying from my file manager in my computer and pasting into the file gallery didn't do anything (if that was expected to copy files over the file gallery)
mmm, resizing the preview of "Fisier Text" shows "NULL"
and regarding extensions, I reckon that users might prefer to have the option to see the file extensions...
and they are hidden, since a few versions or so, isn't it?
I noticed that there is an option to sort files "by kind", but since no extension is shown, I do not know what to expect from png, jpg, bmp, etc. , or doc, docx, odt files, etc. jonnyb: b xavi: to me, there should be an option to allow hiding (or not) the file extensions (I miss the extensionof files, and I know some users that will miss them also) jonnyb: drag files from your (local) desktop and drop them on elfinder to upload - copy from local i don't think is part of html5 xavi: ah, ok, I didn't know. I'll try then (before you talked about "copy and paste", and that's what I tried... :-) I didn't know the details of html5)
wohoooo, draging files from local desktop onto file galr with elfinder works like a charm! nice" jonnyb: but only a maximum of 20 sadly (seems to be a browser limitation) xavi: ok jonnyb: also (so far) only files work, not folders xavi: for more, probably webdav would be better
he he, reorganizing folders by drag and drop in elFinder also works, nice! :-) jonnyb: what shows in elfinder is the file "name", not "filename" which is still there if you need the extension etc, just not visible (yet) in elfinder
yes, mainly upload and move around is good
new galleries and renaming work ok too
and yesterday i added unzip :) xavi: file names with extenion: ok, and how can I enable to display file name with extension?
I can't find it yet... jonnyb: all needs more polish for 12, but not bad for now i think xavi: yes, looking pretty good right now, good job, jonnyb! jonnyb: switch back to one of the old views xavi: ok, switched back, still no extensions shown jonnyb: you can add that as another column, or do file properties (which is tricky as it's white text on white in that theme)
http://demo.tiki.org/11x/tiki-upload_file.php?galleryId=6&fileId=1 xavi: mmm, ok, so right now there is no way in elFinder to display filename (= with extension) instead of just name (without extension). Is that right?
I did select in filegal properties to display "filename only" instead of "name", and then, the filename with extension is shown in the former views, but not yet in elFinder view
I noticed a column on the right (in elFinder) with informtion about the file type (when the file gal is displayed in "detailed" mode, but still, it wook me a while to notice that the information was there somewhere, since the column was hidden on the right....
ok, anyway, good enough so far everything. ElFinder in file galleries looking pretty good already
my congratulations, jonnyb! jonnyb: filename not used in elfinder yet, should obey the gallery pref
thanks :) xavi: jonnyb: shall I report the issue about duplicating files showing the error? jonnyb: the get info popups appear in the wrong place
i'll just fix it - in the middle of something else just now (remind me if i forget ;) ) xavi: he he, I'll forget myself... so I'll drop a bug report (so that I remember - or marc or others - in the future) :-) jonnyb: :P xavi: in fact, that's why the bug tracker is there, as a reminder :-)
he he, and I did set demot.o/11x to use strasa.css, and popup boxes show up below the text area, so they are half hidden, at the most
reproduced here: http://demo.tiki.org/11x/display50 -: xavi wishes luciash, chibaguy or ricks99 where here.... xavi: s/where/were
oups, jonnyb, http://demo.tiki.org/11x/tiki-list_file_gallery.php?galleryId=6&filegals_manager=fgal_picker_id shows no files in the file gallery (to me that elFinder should be shown but it's not)
I mean in the popup window to upload files, while that file gallery selected has elFinder view pre-selected in the dropdown box.... but no file is displayed to be selected, etc.
glups, and selecting in the drop down views something different than ElFinder, and refressing the browser window shows no file again with (again) elFinder pre-selected
admin toolbars icon is missing in the wysiwyg toolbars
as well as the icon to choose or upload files to file gals jonnyb: we reduced the default set of tools for toolbars a while back, i think there were too many "image" ones xavi: this is not image but "file/s" jonnyb: elfinder does work in the filegals_manager xavi: i.e. if you want to upload a pdf to be inserted there jonnyb: yes, the default set was deemed to be overloaded (a few webinars ago) so i took a load out
all those can be got from the plugin help popup xavi: oh well, iot does not right now in demo.t.o/1.x: http://demo.tiki.org/11x/tiki-list_file_gallery.php?galleryId=6&filegals_manager=fgal_picker_id
one icon for files is needed there, imho jonnyb: ah, that good old "document.getElementById(maincol).baseURI" bug - it's fixed but demo's not up to date xavi: which bug: elFinder in fagl_picker_id ?
or pop up boxes shown below central column text area? jonnyb: no, it was an arildb thing about the side columns
but it borks javascript, so elfinder fails xavi: ok jonnyb: just finishing off something, will svn up demo 11 when i can... -: jonnyb svn up's 11x on demo jonnyb: tiki-admin_system.php?do=all seems to make quite a mess of itself - will try and clean it up... -: xavi reporting some bugs in the bug tracker, in the mean time jonnyb: elfinder works again on http://demo.tiki.org/11x/tiki-list_file_gallery.php?galleryId=6&filegals_manager=fgal_picker_id xavi: nice, jonnyb! :-)
and are you aware of the too-big size of pdf icon when files uploaded are pdf's? REproduced again here: http://demo.tiki.org/11x/HomePage (at the lest of "Cancoll") jonnyb: now at least you can read 'Unable to copy "File Galleries/dsfg/Vagrant Chilling".' properly ;) xavi: :-) Tiki|bot: Recent Bug: - duplicating files through elFinder fails with perm error message (for admin) - http://dev.tiki.org/item4567 jonnyb: if you try and show it as an image - seems fair enough to me xavi: he he, but this is a regression: i didn't try to show it as an image. I did upload it as a file, through file upload (plugin file)
and it used to be shown in a smaller size jonnyb: but it's using the image plain, no? xavi: geoff sppotted this issue weeks ago (I've read it somewhere)
I didn't mean to use any image at all, I just indicated to show an icon for the pdf file
let me show an example in 9.x jonnyb: isn't the {files} plugin for files? xavi: see this: http://ueb.vhir.org/tiki-index.php?page=2013-06+BBDD+per+a+la+Recerca+Biom%C3%A8dica&structure=UEB&page_ref_id=411#Material
I mean this: http://ueb.vhir.org/dl1007&thumbnail=y&x=16
32x32 pixels jonnyb: right yes, they got big! :) xavi: yes :-) they are growing, since it's a few versions higher :-D jonnyb: actually i think it was me, i had to fix some stuff for svg files and moved a few things around in there... George_: joined #tikiwiki jonnyb: i just got that thing where you get redirected to a tiki-download_file.php?blah=blah when you log in - seen it a couple of times before and Jyhem_ had reported it too... odd one!
xavi: how do you end up with that weird pdf in an img plugin syntax? xavi: jonnyb: using the tool in the toolbar that disappeared in 11x :-)
PluginFile, and select (in advanced) icon=y
Pluginfiles adds icon by default (for more usability) jonnyb: aha - but it looks like an img plugin - i think wysiwyg is getting muddled
(another thing to fix ;) ) xavi: mmm, however, isn't this issue something non-realated to wysiwyg?
see https://dev.tiki.org/Regressions+in+11x#General_regressions (the last one)
it's not using wysiwyg at all, just displaying with an img plugin both urls, same structure, in 11.x and 10.x, and in 11.x it gets displayed way bigger Telesight: joined #tikiwiki jonnyb: yes, i know, but when i edited the page in it shows that plugin as an img one xavi: ah, ok jonnyb: ah, right - i se what's happening - it shows the img plugin code generated by the file plugin - will remove from the "render" list (it's confusing) Tiki-KGB: tikiwiki 03jonnybradley r46320 10branches/11.x/lib/parser/parserlib.php
