refizul: I want to have a restricted wiki for internal usage, but some pages public. There are several members and groups. A member of group 'faq' should be able to make the group's pages public, but not the pages of other groups.
But I miss a feature 'ownership with groups' for Tiki objects.
I do not want to give/grant permissions more than absolutely necessary.
The groups are not disjoint. A member of groups faq and foo should not be able to make wiki pages of foo public, only wiki pages of faq.
Is there a chance to solve this problem by structures and categories? I think I grant permission to add a wiki page to category 'bar', but even this should be restricted in a way (creation maybe).
Then I grant permission to change permissions for all objects in category bar for users in group faq. Is this a reasonable workflow?

leagris: Hmm, doing a clever hack allowing comma separated list of cdn in config to point static content. Choice within the array of cdn by filename hashing. So each file always land on its own CDN.
I have to work on the smarty_security trusted_uri and preference page to meet this change
Having more than one CDN allow for parallel requests and is a gain in speed.

RobertR: jonnyb: slightly different topic, any idea why, using 10.4, that the wiki page editor tool bars won'y show running a xamp local server?
jonnyb: no, not really - never seen that
RobertR: ^ all current versions: apache, php, mysql, etc.
OK thx
jonnyb: is there anything there in the DOM? maybe it's just hidden?
RobertR: I haven't enough experience with DOM to know where to start
jonnyb: is this with the wysiwyg or "normal" editor?
RobertR: The normal editor
jonnyb: getfirebug.com is a good place to start
or try the one in Chrome/Safari?
RobertR: I've been using firebug
The call to the php responsible for showing the tool bars isn't writing to html...just writes the paragraph holders but not the div statements

-: arildb very curios about the new ckeditor4 update
RobertR: * me too you guys have been working like crazy on it. notes dev-mail
jonnyb: arildb: a couple of more things need doing before merging... just changing the pref name (features.php is way too full!)
and (the bad news), plugins get eaten up if you inline edit them :(
arildb: yes, I saw that
I was thinking, maybe turn off inline editing for elements which conayin a plugin
contain
jonnyb: hmmm, there's no was to work it out from the parser output, would have to be done inside it
would be better if they worked just like in full page editing...
but first a little break! :)

tikiwiki [MOD] Change the pref name and move into the wysiwyg pref file and admin panel
arildb: jonnyb: I tested on a larger page (a "Lorem Ipsum" generated page). Having many sections on a page seems to (seriously) affect the performance.
Tiki|bot: New Forum Posts: Tracker cross-select - http://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=26&comments_parentId=48274
arildb: I may be particular to my setup, but please make a test. If this is so, it must be solved.Otherwise it won't be possible to "use" very long wiki pages
jonnyb: you mean when you enable inline?
arildb: yes
Telesight: joined #tikiwiki
jonnyb: i just made a page with 78 top level elements and it takes 2 to 3 seconds to enable
but then i do have a nice new laptop! :)
arildb: Is that normal?
jonnyb: normal for inline editing? i have no idea, haven't tried any others
seems reasonable to me - it's a deliberately complicated page
arildb: On my system (a not-so-nice 2 year old laptop :-( the performance loss was very noticable....maybe particular to my set up then
jonnyb: which browser? i'm in firefox and that always slower than webkit i find
arildb: I also use firefox mostly
jonnyb: I see you moved the option to the wysiwyg admin panel, which is fine. What I miss in this panel is 3 choice 1) wysiwyg-wiki 2) wysiwyg-html (radio buttons, ony one can be selected) and now 3) Inline editing. Right now I find it confusin to detect which editor(s) are active
jonnyb: true, but i think that's something to fix when merged back in
arildb: yes, I agree
jonnyb: beautiful on/off solution. Congrats!
jonnyb: :)
arildb: I think it's time the rest of the communityshould get to" experience" this one. Are you porting?
jonnyb: just trying to get plugins at least not being wiped out, then will look at merging
arildb: still a problem with multi-page "Lorem Ipsum" on my side "Warning: Unreponsive script"
there are a few images added to that page too
jonnyb: hmm, nasty - can you put the source in patsebin or somewhere and i'll try it
leagris: Yaay all done implementing multiple_cdn support in preferences, static uri and smarty_security trusted_uri
arildb: jonnyb: I will try
leagris: lucian or an other tiki experienced developer. Please advice. It is a new feature I added to tiki 11.x. I guess it would be inappropriate to push this to the current 11.x branch and reserve it for future update or other testing branch. In witch branch should I commit a new feature to test?
jonnyb: hi leagris - is there any change of regressions to existing tiki 11 installs? i've never used a cdn so haven't been able to really follow what you're up to
change/chance
arildb: jonnyb: another inline issue. Looking at the source, when the editor is active will include all the editor tags, e.g.
<p title="Rich Text Editor, editor1" class="cke_editable cke_editable_inline cke_contents_ui cke_show_borders">Lorem ipsum</p><p title="Rich Text Editor, editor2" class="cke_editable cke_editable_inline cke_contents_ui cke_show_borders">"Neque porro quisquam est qui dolorem ipsum quia dolor sit amet, consectetur, adipisci velit..."<br
jonnyb: leagris: i guess that means probably put it in trunk for now and backport to 11.x when you're happy with it
arildb: all that stuff only gets added when you enable inline editing - ckeditor needs it
is it a problem?
arildb: yes. Maybe the source view should be disabled when the inline editor is active
better without
It's there, even when I turn the editor off. Maybe the editor(s) are not destroyed, when I turn inline editing off?
will try to disable inline editing, to get to the source
and it's still there....seems like the editor tags are stored along with the page
I will check
yes the inline editor tags are stored with the page. Not good
jonnyb: the source: http://pastebin.com/gAEyZSHp
jonnyb: hang on - on a call
arildb: ok
leagris: jonnyb I just mailed tiki-dev about cdn improvments
All changes are data backward compatible
Though, there where text changed in preferences that would need new translations
arildb: jonnyb: I made a test of the "Lorem Ipsum" case in Opera. It worked well there. Probably it's just my firefox that's overloaded.
