drsassafrasmarclaporte: so I read the doc you referenced about where to commit. It looks like the best way to handle this is to roll back the image changes in 13 and apply them to 12.1, if there is no complaints
and it looks like it's all fine, then they can be applied all the way down to version 9.

chibaguyI wonder if external CSS files should be loaded before the core CSS files so they can be overridden. Case in point: jtrack.css has "body {font-size, font-family}" rules. I don't know why this script needs to specify rules for body at all. What's a good way to neutralize this? [08:17]

[FIX]Usability fix. Allow to predefine a date for the initial display of the calendar, needed for real use cases when the resources scheduled (rooms booked in a conference, etc) are days, weeks or months ahead of the current date (otherwise the system is not usable for end users in reality).
[FIX]Usability Fix. Allow to define the first day of the week in the month view for that tracker calendar (it was hardcoded to be always Sunday).
[08:40]
fabriciuschibaguy: what do you mean with "external" css files? css of vendor stuff? [08:41]
chibaguyYes, the files in vendor. [08:41]
fabriciusah, maybe you suggestion makes sense then, cause vendor stuff is not considering Tiki
what's with loading time ... I mean the initial time, until the user sees that something happens on the page and not blöank page alike?
I mean, if we load a lot of vendors stuff before any Tiki core css starts

[FIX] More uniform login error handling. Report errors "inline" with the login module, like for USER_NOT_FOUND.
The "Login box" still pops on tiki-login.php, which is shown when an error occurs. Ref: http://dev.tiki.org/item5183
[12:26]
arildbI am trying to cleanup the login error handling. r50668 makes the error reporting uniform. However, the "Login box" still appears. On a page with no header, the added top "Log-in box" does not look nice.
Any ideas how the top "login box" can be removed on tiki-login.php?

drsassafrasfabricius: yes, according to the where to merge doc, it looks like committing to 12.1 without rolling back 13 would cause issues with auto merge. I will start doing that. [13:40]
chibaguy: I think your idea of vendor CSS rules is smart. It's the only elegant way for the tiki styles to be able to override them. I doubt it will make much of a difference in display time as they are generally download together, unless there is JS loaded in the middle of them. [13:47]

drsassafrasluciash: I am a little confused as to where image optimization should go. What you say appears to contradict the https://dev.tiki.org/Where+to+commit, where my understanding of it says that minor enhancements and bug fixes can be applied to 9.x and only critical fixes should be applied to 6.x, but you say only critical fixes in the upcoming 12.1..... To
complicate the matter, lossless image optimization brings no functionality, and does not fix anything functionally. There is not a great chance of revision (unless I make the wrong commits) so the closest place I can put it in is bug fix. Fixes slow load times and google ranking deductions. Help me out here. Does the where to commit document really need such
severe updating, or am I misunderstanding something here.

luciashdrsassafras: we are trying to minimize regressions when release is in alpha or beta and massive changes can create such issues in that "frozen" period (even images - they can appear overly compressed or we can get corrupted images, etc.) - that is why i suggested wait until 12.1 is out - otherwise yes, that is the correct branch of course
drsassafras: alpha and beta should be something like preview what you can expect in the soon to be released (hopefuly) final version so there should not be many changes except critical fixes as i wrote
drsassafras: if u find it critical fix and you feel it should be part of the final 12.1 release please go on if you are sure nothing will break or complicate things
