Hello! I have a basic pretty tracker(user selector + a few values) when I call the trackerlist in the wiki it works nicely!
But I would want to only list those where user selector is the same as current user. And here I simply fail =[11:20] kotten I have tried a few things but can't really get it to work. Any ideas?
Basically I have tried something like this: {trackerlist trackerId="<the trackers ID>" "filterfield="<trackers ID for the user>" exactvalue="field(user)"
Any ideas or pointers would be appreciated! jonnyb: joined #tikiwiki
polompompom kotten: jonnyb I could not have said it better myself jonnyb: hi kotten kotten: jonnyb whats up? jonnyb: hopefully not as much as yesterday, that was a bit manic! xavi: hi all kotten: jonnyb what happend yesterday? Tiki-KGB: 03drsassafras r58902 10trunk/ 10(10 files in 8 dirs)

(So sorry for being stupid I am really new to all of this) xavi: 2nd option
"tracker item made by user"
feel free to improve the docs so that they are clearer for people getting into them (like in your case, now) kotten: xavi for other people as stupid as me :P

Yeah I have heard about Catalonia. There were talk about you guys not wanting to be in Spain or something
half a year- a year ago
I think it was Catalonia
In the TrackerList there is the user variable so it feels like it must be an option to "only show where => field(<user selector field id>, user)
Ok so some progress. It works great like this:
{trackerlist trackerId="1" wiki="kar_templates" filterfield="5" exactvalue="admin"}
Filterfield is a user selector
However...
{trackerlist trackerId="1" wiki="kar_templates" filterfield="5" exactvalue=user}
does not work
is it soemthing like "$user" $user or #user i need to put in there?
or like.. exactvalue=view_user ?
to get "String of username" in my trackerlist condition Tiki-KGB: 03jonnybradley r58903 10branches/15.x/lib/setup/twversion.class.php * [REL] Sync some missing releases from previous branches (back to 9.x) jonnyb: kotten, i think what you want it {{user}} and enable wiki arg vars perference

That should work jonnyb: think it's on the wiki admin panel kotten: Just when I look at the example on PluginTrackerList there is this line:
{trackerlist trackerId="5" fields="21:23:24" filterfield="20" exactvalue="field(38,user,7)"}
But ofc jonnyb: maybe the textarea one actually... kotten: I think I found it now under editing and plugins "Wiki argument variables" jonnyb: yup, that sounds like the one :) kotten: jonnyb It seems to work :) Thanks a bunch!! chibaguy: joined #tikiwiki

yay, glad to help kotten, and welcome :) chibaguy: hi jonnyb and all kotten: chibaguy hello! chibaguy: hi kotten kotten: chibaguy whats up? chibaguy: well, right now I'm working on the 2017 version of this website: http://gecco-2016.sigevo.org/index.html/HomePage
(weird url, I know, but that's how the set their server up)
it's an annual conference, and uses trackers to display all the events and papers, etc.
Plus, I'm working on some themes that will be available for free download. kotten: chibaguy cool! chibaguy: kotten, how about you? any exciting news? :-) kotten: chibaguy not really. I am on parental leave so I am trying to keep the baby alive. I am really new to tikiwiki I had plans to use it for a hobby project. A roleplaying fantasy world.
I got some help from jonnyb this just recently
Or rather.. I play roleplaying games as a dungeon master and I to document player character, non-playing characters and the world/it's items and such chibaguy: I see. Sounds interesting. kotten: chibaguy yeah I hope so! As for now it looks promising. chibaguy: I was just looking at some old World of Warcraft website themes, and thinking that I like that ornate style. But it looks pretty retro now.
Modern web design tends to be pretty boring, in my opinion. kotten: chibaguy yeah I can really agree to that chibaguy: Clean but boring,
.
I have a few themes in the pipeline that are definitely retro, but fun because they're Bootstrap and jquery and all that new stuff too.
The ironic thing is, now with CSS3 you can really do great things with background images, really easily, but fashion has moved away from that, to just white space. When fashion swings back, the technology will be ready for it. kotten: Cool, I wish I knew webdesign to make things cool
chibaguy let's hope it does. Because this "clean" style that dominates now is really lifeless chibaguy: Well, you can learn step by step. kotten: But I mean it feels like "the world wide web" is more or less twitter, facebook and a few other places chibaguy: Right.
Gotta fight back. ;-) kotten: chibaguy ofc :) chibaguy: If you see website designs you like, that'd be good for your project, let me know. I'm open to suggestions for upcoming theme projects.
(Especially if it's a matter of adapting an existing theme to Tiki - that's a pretty fast process.) kotten: chibaguy ahh cool! chibaguy: We want to have a kind of marketplace for Tiki things, so themes.tiki.org will have a listing of aftermarket themes to download. kotten: neat! nelsonko: joined #tikiwiki tikiuser: joined #tikiwiki
hello, I'm receiving errors almost all the time
No se ha podido encontrar la dirección DNS del servidor de tiki-view_forum_thread.php.
cannot access DNS, it seems that it doesn't redirect ok
i can't find why this is happening
any help? kotten: tikiuser how is it supposed to redirect? Maybe your LAMP/LEMP/IIS config is wrong?
Did it work previously but not any more
Is DNS working as it should? tikiuser: it usually works except when trying to post something
in the url, the domain disappears kotten: tikiuser are you getting a blank page?
are you using linux or windows? tikiuser: yes, an error kotten: windows or linux tikiuser: for example, when posting something in the forum, it tries to connect without the domain "http://tiki-view_forum_thread.php/?forumId=1&#comments"
linux kotten: ahh okay
apache or Nginx? tikiuser: apache kotten: ok min
one min tikiuser: thanks kotten: go the the apache directory tikiuser: right
i'm using ssh kotten: most likely /etc/apache or /etc/httpd
how you connect doesn't matter tikiuser: # cd /etc/apache2/ kotten: you have something like sites-available or something? tikiuser: yes
my tiki is a virtual host kotten: and there default or tiki? tikiuser: in fact, it is the default one
yes, tiki is the default kotten: ok open it
your php config should be in there right?
i mean..
the..
hm
no wait
yes
ok
you have something like this there: fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME $document_root$fastcgi_script_name; ? tikiuser: http://paste.debian.net/739094/ kotten: ok

I dont even remember how to setup a LAMP server ( I only use Nginx - LEMP) but
It is not properly configured
Have you followed a guide for setting up the LAMP server? tikiuser: hmm, I'm not sure
what guide is it? kotten: tikiuser maybe there is a quickfix
Add a ServerName tikiuser: it has got it
ServerName javi.space
the site works great except when posting something
and the error is random, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't kotten: saw that now
ServerAlias perhaps jonnyb: joined #tikiwiki tikiuser: now it works, and i haven't done anything
seems to be some kind of weird cache problem Tiki-KGB: 03amnabilal r58905 10trunk/lang/langmapping.php * [Fix]Added mapping line for urdu chibaguy: This is a strange problem: I've been adding "items list" field types to some trackers, and got the correct "Options for Items List" form in the modal. But suddenly I'm getting different form fields, not the dropdown selectors, but rather "find" inputs.
...for the options for this field. I wonder why it would suddenly change.
Even the fields I added a short time ago, with the expected input types for the options (dropdown selectors), are now showing "find" selectors instead. xavi: chibaguy: probably magic added by lph. when there are more than N items to list, provide a search form instead of attempt to populate the dropdown with ALL of them
just an educated guess, mostly, even if I recall seing this suprise a few years ago
bbl
tikiuser: just another guess, ensure that you have the latest .htaccess in your tiki root (either symlinked from _htaccess, or if you copied in the past, then copy/sync that again).
My 2 cents tikiuser: xavi: what should be the content of .htaccess?
now it is working well all the time, btw i have increased php memoryto 2048M chibaguy: xavi, that makes sense, but it's a lot easier to use a dropdown (even a long one) than a find form if you don't remember the field name exactly (which I often don't).
I wish there was an admin option for this. tikiuser: joined #tikiwiki
again the same problem
it is really very random
i can't understand what is going on
it redirects the user to "http://tiki-view_forum_thread.php/?forumId=1&#comments" when posting something in the forum
which obviusly lacks the domain
now i log out and log in and works again xavi: back
tikiuser: same contents as in _htaccess in your main tiki file tree
chibaguy: I agree tikiuser: well, it is a symbolic link so it contains the same xavi: yes, no problem then in that area tikiuser: i think i might find the problem... xavi: so tikiuser: please report a bug about it at https://dev.tiki.org/Make+a+wish tikiuser: i use a wildcard domain, and tikiwiki is the default virtual host xavi: and ideally, make a show.t.o instance in which the problem can be reproduced tikiuser: so if i use the tikiwiki from several domains at the same time but using the same computer, the problem arises
ok, it was not that...
I'm completely lost
i just can't understand why sometimes happens and why sometimes doesn't, it has no sense
ok, i removed all sessions manually, it seems to work now, but I'll test again after a while Tiki|bot: New Forum Posts: How to change server hostname in 15.0? - https://tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=6&comments_parentId=59914

One more svn up and it's running fine again :) tikiuser: ok, there seems to be a problem with sessions
my error only happens when i access other vhosts of my apache installation
so, when there are more than one session per ip, the error happens jonnyb: hi tikiuser
thanks Jyhem - glad the fix worked! :)
do you want your different subdomains to be different tikis, tikiuser ? if so there are a couple of ways to do that tikiuser: jonnyb: if that is the error... jonnyb: This would prevent the sesion collisions https://doc.tiki.org/MultiTiki
but each subdomain will be a separate tiki tikiuser: jonnyb: thank you, that is exactly what is happening. Let me explain: i have put tikiwiki directory as the default server, so if I access any subdomain which points to the same IP, session get messed up
but not only that, if i put wordpress in a subdomain and access wordpress and then tikiwiki, the session also gets messed up jonnyb: is this a shared hosting server? xavi: tikiuser, did you write specific string in the the cookie section of the tiki control panel "General"? jonnyb: i would avoid having different domains sharing the same document root if possible (but it's not really my area) tikiuser: it is a private VPS
xavi: no, i didn't, should I? xavi: tikiuser: cookie settings are in 2 places for you to review: Control Panel "Login" > General Preferecences tab, section "Cookies". Ensure you have a differnt cookie name between different tikis in domains or subdomains from the same server, I would say
and "Sessions", session cookie name is defined in "control Panel" > General > General Settings > Sessions > Sesison cookie name.
just in case, since you said something about two sessions colisioning in the same ip on different domains, if I understood correctly tikiuser: yes, that is the case redflo: joined #tikiwiki Tiki|bot: New Forum Posts: How to change server hostname in 15.0? - http://translation.tiki.org/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=6&comments_parentId=59914
