I'm just testing tiki 15.1. So far (we're on 9.9LT) we were never satisfied with the results of the search, the relevance of the results does seem produced by random.
Now I'm trying the other options available, but documentation is scarce.
Changing settings on tiki-admin.php?page=search does not always do what I expect.
Is there a place where I can find proper documentaion? 		[09:15]
xavihi Hans___: you can use the "Admin/Config Wizard", at the Search section, and ensure that basic search is off, and advanced is on with your settings of interest.

yes, wizards were introduced in Tik12. See https://doc.tiki.org/Wizards
wizards are far from perfect, and old-styled maybe, but they serve their purpose, according to many users in the tiki forums, and that's why some of us introduced them in Tiki 12+
Re Advanced search index: if unsure, choose "MYSQL full text search" as the search index in the dropdown, instead of lucene, or elastic search (unless you know what elastic search is and you have a server set up alerady for that elastic search) 		[09:35]

I have my wiki on a localhost server and i am using WAMP. I’ve change my old computer to a new one and i re-install my wiki. The wiki is working well except the files gallery. When i try to download a PDF or a doc, i can’t read it. For the .doc document it say that the document is corrupted and the pdf file is empty.

Hans___@Edouard: This is good. In the document root of the tiki there is a directory where the uploaded files are stored.
I'm just not sure, what the name of the directory is because I store uploads in the database.
There is a setting for that, search for "storage" in the admin interface 		[14:00]

xaviEdouard_: double check also that there is not an issue with encoding in the database
if you were using utf-8 before and now everywhere (mysql db, mysql tables, and content inthem) , no problem should be there in that front.
otherwise, if you were using latin and now utf-8, or something like that, the issue might come from an encoding issue that can be fixed
that was a common issue when upgrading from before tiki 5.x to newer tiki versions, for instance
and the installer would/could help you fix the encoding problems.

xaviEduard, a workaround could be to export your files to disk at the old server/computer, through the utility in tiki to do so (from file galleries, etc), and use them on disk since then, even in your upgrade, so that changes in the db doesn't affect them. (just a guess) [14:34]

some things seem that never change over time ;-) (that pretty old ascii ftp transfer)
I thought that ftp transfer type had autodetect implemented in most programs (other than plain command line ftp way)

I imagine that it might be possible to create some dynamic variable or wiki plugin alias or so. I would wish to have a specific WikiPlugin, but working with responsive design, you need some basic knowledge abeout the principles anyway. Thus I do not see the use of DIV as such a burdening probem.

ngoodeyI'm having a few problems with the update from 14.2 to 15. I did a clean install, exported database from 14.2 and imported into 15.
