Polom everyone !
luciash: I'm sorry I kind of fell out yesterday. My company activated an internet filter that blocked me instantly from this channel. You were right, spacing in xml code is copied alright
so thank you :-) fabricius: Padlock: hi
I did yesterday or the day befor check the XML issue in the show instance you created Padlock: Hi fabricius, hope you're doing fine ! fabricius: And I do not find the issue resolved Padlock: Oh no it's not, it's just that I had another small issue about indentation fabricius: the point I came at is, that only when switching from WYSIWIG to WIKI, but the completely, the XML get's wiped from the page luciash: Padlock: np :) Padlock: Did you manage to reproduce what I was describing though ? fabricius: yes!! Padlock: Sorry, you already replied lol fabricius: I reproduced on the very wikipage and I commented (I think so) on the bug tracker issue
what is with the other issue? perms and location for .html structure Padlock: yes, i'm afraid fabricius: The problem is, that if you want to prevent an extra additional user/password, you have to integrate the stuff at some point Padlock: I REALLY like how iframes work, and honestly, I wish I could stay with that, but I completely understand the issue about the files being accessible to whomever knows their path fabricius: that's the point Padlock: Is there an alternative ? fabricius: But it is not so difficult to edit bunches of files at once through some simple cammand line magic and REGEX Padlock: trouble is, you have to picture me as a secretary that has basic CMS functional management knowledge because well... that's what I am :-) fabricius: I would have to get a closer icture to be able to give some direction, wether the file gallery batch upload approach would be more helpful or the html regex measure
look, you have tecchies in your company. nobody expects you to code or to do cmmand line magic. but they seem all to be looking at you, if you solve the general problem, meaning managing to solve it, meaning to go to one of the coders and tell him/her to do this and that magic, cause you need such and such ;-) Padlock: The thing is, if I uploaded my main index.html file and all .html related files together in a file gallery on tiki, would the index.html file be able to point to the proper related pages ? fabricius: NO
BUT Padlock: I know for a fact nobody will help me on this. The very coders you're refering to are the ones who handed me that doxygen doc bundle to begin with and expect me to "publish it" in some way lol fabricius: if the main thing would be files which are mentioned on the html files as links to just access/download, it would be quite easy to batch import them by folder, then create a number of wiki pages (a wiki structure maybe) with a tiny bit of wikiplugin magic that publishes those files literally the same way.
plus a starting page which explains what changed and what not. Padlock: There are some people who could help doing linux stuff on my server, if needed, though fabricius: so that is good IF needed.
can you show me some screenshot(s) of nonecritical parts of the content - just to give me an imagination what it is about. and then a number of html pages you have to deal with Padlock: Let me screenshoot all this
just one little thing though
I know it's not clean or practical, but you mentionned trying to find a solution that would not involve an additional login/password.
That might actually be fine... Would it be possible to password-lock the folder containing this html bundle when stored at the root of tiki, so when people try to open the wiki page containing the iFrame, they would be prompted for a login password ? fabricius: yes, that would not be iFrame Padlock: oh :( I really like iFrame. Do I have to relinquish it altogether ?
ok let me make screenshots for you fabricius: I like to "embed" public calendars, maps or videos in iframe, but not ftp old "groupware files"
when providing confidential information in an iframe inside the groupware, means that you need to use an extra http login fro the cms you are logged in, then s.th. seems to be wrong
actually I see two potential solutions from use cases I have in organsations.
one is Tiki only and the other one is Tiki plus Nextcloud plus LDAP, where the LDAP part might be added later on, if two (personal) logins for certain groupd would be temporarily acceptable Tiki-KGB: 03yonixxx r61696 10trunk/tiki-error_simple.php * [FIX] Missing td colspan. amette__: joined #tikiwiki fabricius: joined #tikiwiki Padlock: I sent you a link to the screenshots.
