[13:16] chibaguy hi jonnyb. not yet, I'm afraid. [13:17] chibaguy ah, you mean in bs4 beta 2 itself? [13:17] chibaguy (I thought you meant our branch progress.) [13:17] jonnyb yes, was wondering what they've added [13:17] chibaguy beta 2 returns some things that were removed, which will make upgrades and customizations easier. [13:18] chibaguy I'll find the URL. [13:18] jonnyb sounds good [13:20] chibaguy We’ve added new theme color variables in addition to the map. Now you can use $primary or theme-color("primary") as needed. The values in $theme-colors are also now mapped to these new variables instead of their direct color. [13:20] chibaguy We’ve improved the ability to customize Sass maps. With Beta 1, we didn’t have a setup in place to modify your $theme-colors map without replacing it wholesale. That’s been fixed in Beta 2—override existing values and add more as needed. Our new Theming docs page will show you how it’s done. [13:20] chibaguy https://blog.getbootstrap.com [13:21] chibaguy So it's easier to specify colors via variables. In beta1 I needed to copy a Sass map which is kind of an array. [13:22] chibaguy http://getbootstrap.com/docs/4.0/getting-started/theming/ [13:23] chibaguy With Bootstrap 3, we copied the default Bootstrap variables file for each theme, but in BS 4 I think it'd be better to just add the variables, etc. needed by the theme rather than copy the whole file. [13:23] chibaguy This follows the Bootstrap documentation (for a "custom.scss" file). [13:25] chibaguy I think to upgrade a theme, we can compare its variables.less file with the default one, and whatever differs (that has a BS4 equivalent) can be put in the theme's variables file (it's "custom" file, which we call "bootstrap-variables". [13:26] chibaguy I'll do a few themes and see how it looks. [13:27] chibaguy I had already copied the default variables.scss to each (or most) theme directories, but I'll replace those files with a smaller one that just contains actual overrides of default. [13:30] jonnyb all sounds good, what i understand of it :) have fun chibaguy! :P [13:34] chibaguy thanks ;-) [14:18] Bsfez joined #tikiwiki [15:30] jonnyb joined #tikiwiki [16:34] robertokir joined #tikiwiki [18:35] amette_ left #tikiwiki [18:35] amette_ joined #tikiwiki [18:50] Eiriksson joined #tikiwiki [18:50] Eiriksson Hi [18:51] Eiriksson I am unable to Apply Profile, if I click it the page reloads but nothing changes [18:51] Eiriksson I've tried this often with two of the Featured Profiles [20:18] Telesight joined #tikiwiki [21:15] amette_ left #tikiwiki [21:15] amette_ joined #tikiwiki [21:33] fabricius joined #tikiwiki [21:37] torsten1 joined #tikiwiki [21:37] Eiriksson :( [22:02] Eiriksson I am unable to Apply Profile, if I click it the page reloads but nothing changes [22:02] Eiriksson Featured Profiles [22:23] robertokir joined #tikiwiki [22:43] torsten1 joined #tikiwiki [22:58] fabricius Hello Eirikson [22:58] fabricius Eiriksson [22:58] Eiriksson Hi [22:59] Eiriksson How are you?
