help! jonnyb: pompom fabricius fabricius: hi jonnyb
jonnyb: I am working on one of two parallel upgrades ... Tiki 17 (partly still 16) with fixed-to-top navbar (in custom module) plus left and right off-canvas navbar.
jonnyb: I worked out things in Firefox - smooth. And I frequently check on Chrome/Chromium
jonnyb: once I activated an new custom menu into the of-canvas sidebar module zone and added some minor css in custom css and - only - the Chrome(ium) Browsers broke the site completely ... only few css left and mostly smarty if/else gone - all modules and buttons shown twice ... jonnyb: sorry fabricius (actually in a meeting) - no idea about off-canvas stuff i'm afraid - it is ok in a default theme? fabricius: jonnyb: deactivating the custom modules does not revert the bug in Chrome, even when I clear all the history including Browser cache and Tiki cache
Yes Thx - just switched theme and it seems to work. Still strange, why only one browser (engne?) fails, whilst the other still runs well. At least I have a pointer where to dig further. Thank you jonnyb! jonnyb: np, good luck! :) fabricius: I guess I found the HUGE error 40 ... it seems to be a typical case of PEBCAK
=> seems to be that I accidently deleted /shortened the .css file, which magically seems to still exist in Firefox's cache. Unsure what exactly and why, but a good mess to work on, but that would explain the situation.
quick report: error was indeed deletion of the themes css, which styed in the chache of one browser, but was already lost in dev0. Anyway nearly back up and running. Thx to Jonny for the right guidance. One single right question often leads to the solution. jonnyb: :) fabricius: joined #tikiwiki Telesight: joined #tikiwiki robertokir: joined #tikiwiki amette_: left #tikiwiki
