When I make a calendar event at tiki.org, does the time selector show my time (like when I use the Convene plugin), or the server time or some other time?
I made an event here (this month's roundtable meeting, assuming the current most popular time choice) to test - https://tiki.org/tiki-calendar.php?todate=1513864800 - but am wondering if other people see the event with their time zone info.
luciash: chibaguy: hi gary, lemme check

luciash: chibaguy: I see 15:00
so it is converted to my timezone I guess
or what is the decided time in UTC?
chibaguy_: I changed my timezone with a VPN to France and, not logged in, see "Start
: Thursday 21 December 2017 23:00:00 +09" on the calendar event.
luciash: Jyhem: removed the commented lines
chibaguy_: Maybe that calculates to noon in France.
luciash: hmm, i See 15:00 Roundtable Meeting (December 2017) as Anon
chibaguy_: luciash, if you see 15:00, does that match the most popular time at https://tiki.org/Roundtable-Meeting-2017-12?
luciash: chibaguy_: yes
the France VPN time is not correct
should be same as here
in Czechia
chibaguy_: something is wrong with your VPN ;)
it shows Japan time I suppose
chibaguy_: according to "what is my ip address" websites, my ip address is in fact in france, or now brazil, just to check.
luciash: maybe it simply checks your client time (OS) so it will not work if you use proxy/VPN
chibaguy_: yeah, maybe so. I always see "Thu 21 Dec 2017 23:00 +09" at the roundtable page although I get Buenos Aires local news Google news in another tab.
so you're right - it must be using my client time.
(Probably my figuring of the France time had a math mistake ;-) .)
(or other error on my part)
Anyway, it's good that the calendar event seems to be showing correct local time for people.
By the way, for me, it's really hard to click the link in the popup for the event on https://tiki.org/tiki-calendar.php?todate=1513864800 . The popup stops displaying too soon.

luciash: chibaguy_: I just clicked the blue rectangle
chibaguy_: Yes, that works fine, but the popup contains a link. I guess users aren't supposed to try to click it.
