polom jonnyb: polom chibaguy and luciash and all :) chibaguy: hi all
I wonder why the main menu (left column) at tiki.org stops at "Trackers" even when you're logged in as admin (no admin links, etc.). jonnyb: not seen that chibaguy - i'll have a look...
but on a similar note, i've been finding the normal bootsrap vertical app menu (42) on trunk none of the submenus open up for me, you seen that?
all looks like it should be ok, most odd...
just cleared the caches (i guess you tried that too) - could reset that menu? chibaguy: I haven't noticed the bootstrap menu problem. I'll take a look.
yes, I confirm that problem - switched a menu locally to bootstrap and now the submenus don't open. :-/ jonnyb: glad it's not just me :) it might just go away wen we merge bs4 in, but it would probably be better to have it working properly before that... ;)
Ah, i remember this - we tried to reset menu 42 on tiki.org in Brussels, and we get a database error, i'll send it on to Oliver... that's probably what's up with it i think... chibaguy: ok luis_asa: joined #tikiwiki fabricius: joined #tikiwiki zlinux: joined #tikiwiki Mechanism: joined #tikiwiki

Hi
Is it there? Mechanism: I am not able to rewrite some URLS. I've added overwrite rules to the database, but it doesn't always work. For example, the addresses of the columns in the blogs and forums list do not change, and the addresses of the columns in the articles list have changed. Is there a problem?
For example, the address of the first column in the blog list is tiki-list_blogs.php?offset=0&sort_mode=title_desc redflo: joined #tikiwiki jonnyb: hi Mechanism - i don't really follow your question, you can't just add new rewrite rules in the database and have them work wihtout making other code changes (in route.php), but you can use .htaccess RewriteRules to do this (on Apache)
were you following some instructions from somewhere? Mechanism: Hello jonny. Thank you for the answer.
When I add rules to the database, the link addresses change often, it works. Of course, I add a rule in route.php. But some of the links don't change. For example, I made a rule in the database that replaces "tiki-browse_freetags.php"on " tags". The link in the site menu has changed, many other links have changed, but the links of sorting modes remain the following: "tiki-browse_freetags.php?tsort_mode=tag_asc" jonnyb: yes, handling the parameters is the tricky bit, how are you handling them? (with a regular expression presumably?) Mechanism: I tried to make rules in different ways. For example, a rule that would replace "tiki-browse_freetags.php" on "tags" or " tiki-browse_free tags.php?sort_mode=(.+)" to "tags-sort-$1" and a few different rules, but problematic links to do not change.
On the same page, some of the links could be replaced. For example, " tiki-browse_free tags.php tag=%test%B5%D0%B7 & type=blog+post & sort_mode=name_asc "has been replaced with" tags?tag=%test%B5%D0 % B7&type=blog+post&sort_mode=name_asc". The rule works in this case, but does not work for another similar link.
Sorry for my slurred speech. I'm pretty exhausted about this problem. jonnyb: no worries, it's not trivial :)
sorry, i can't see an easy fix and have my own nightmares to battle here - try sending a mail to the dev list, maybe someone can help another day?
https://sourceforge.net/p/tikiwiki/mailman/ Mechanism: All links in the site menu have been successfully replaced. Only in the pages of replacement is not always the case. By the way, I delete the site cache to make the rules work. Otherwise, the links are not updated.
