Some strange behavior at doc.t.o. I made a tracker there but when I submit the info for a new item, it isn't successful. The page refreshes to a blank https://doc.tiki.org/tiki-view_tracker.php. No new item is created.
luciash: chibaguy: strange... that happens often with perspectives but there are no perspectives on doc, right?
chibaguy: Right, I think there aren't any.
Well, maybe there's a problem with my tracker configuration. I tried in an existing tracker and that works ok.
i mean an older tracker

chibaguy: A real simple test tracker works, so apparently there's a problem with my tracker configuration, etc.
Ah, the tracker item failed to save because I had a user selector field set to "creator" for "Auto-assign".
Switching that to "no" enabled the item to be saved.
I should probably read the docs about that - intuition isn't always the best guide ;-) .
luciash: chibaguy: hmm, interesting, auto-assign to creator worked in the past too iirc
gour: i was able to install latest 15.x LTS and was able to successfully apply e.g. Blog Profile. now i wonder if one can directly upgrade to 18.2?
luciash: gour: I would say go for it
gour: luciash: good.
if i understand correctly, the best way to upgrade (from e.g. 15.x to 18.x) is to remove old files, unpack new archive and run tiki-install.php in case i do not have any custom stuff except that i applied Personal Blog profile, but I believe that's registered within the database itself?
Jyhem_laptop: repolom
luciash: gour: yep, I would simply do it in a new dir and then rename it when finished...
gour: luciash: ok, i'm omn semi-shared (webfaction) hosting, so will see what is the most convenient in regard
