hello! I'm looking for a solution to a problem I have when working with my tiki wiki
Is there any kind of autosave or reminder to save function for wiki pages?
searching on the docs didn't help
I know browser extensions exist for this kind of thing, but I was hoping for some server side solution
https://doc.tiki.org/Auto-save
I think https://doc.tiki.org/Lost-edit is what I'm trying to solve gour: joined #tikiwiki gour_: joined #tikiwiki robertokir: joined #tikiwiki fabricius: joined #tikiwiki chibaguy: joined #tikiwiki

gz001: there is an auto save in Tiki
also after 20 minutes of editing a page you should get a warning on top jonnyb: joined #tikiwiki
pompom polom gz001: are those settings configurable? i'd like to lower the 20 minutes to much lower
the closest setting i can find is
Ajax auto-save xavi: joined #tikiwiki
polom jonnyb: moloq xavi and all xavi: I attempted to use the toolbar editor to add a custom tool in 18.x without success
hi jonnyb
is the toolbar editor in 18.x your department? :-) jonnyb: gz001: afaicr that setting is based on the php session timeout (one of them) so the setting will be in your php.ini xavi: I dunno how to indicate the icon
it self populates with the relative url of a png, which doesn't seem to work (it always displays the question mark) jonnyb: that's been rather neglected i'm afraid xavi: and I presume that this field was not updated to bootstrap icons, etc. jonnyb: probably didn't get updated for the new iconsets regime :( xavi: iconset regime, that's what I presume
hints?
s/without success/with only partial success
partial success: icon is (always) a question mark, but cliking there produces the expected syntax in your textearea
and when editing the custom tool, the popup doesn't seem to get the right field in the each input of the form luciash: hi every1
gz001: the edit session timeout is not configurable iirc
gz001: Ajax autosave is the thing which periodicallly does the autosave in case something goes wrong it will tell you on next edit there is an autosaved version and asks you if you want to use it gz001: there is a Edit idle timeout setting but that's not what i want
what would be the easiest way to change the ajax autosave timing?
is there any way to mess with the php.ini within tiki control panel or is that too complex? luciash: jonnyb: do you know about the ajax autosave timing? gz001: i decided early on i would host my site on AWS to force me to learn how to use it and oh god it feels infinitely complex
SSHing to my server seems so hard jonnyb: hmmm, used to :P i think it tries to autosave after all changes, but i know there's a (paper-cut) bug if you have codemirror enabled that doesn't work. It's how preview works, so if you open the preview panel each time that changes there's been a new auto-save
the 20 minute session timeout is a php thing, not controllable by tiki gz001: ok, is there anyway to force previews then? jonnyb: if you have remember me set you should get logged back in though
i have a feeling it does try to do that - if ajax auto-save feature is enabled gz001: Thanks for your help! ricks99: joined #tikiwiki jonnyb: joined #tikiwiki lhtseng: joined #tikiwiki Jyhem: polom luciash: hi Jyhem jonnyb: hi Jyhem and luciash luciash: hi jonnyb ! jonnyb: is chibaguy still awake?
have a question re bs4 buttons (maybe luciash you know too?), all the "primary" buttons on the tiki sites now seem to have gone grey, and look like the cancel buttons - was this a deliberate change? No, I don't believe they should be grey. I'll check. luciash: jonnyb: I don't think that is the desired change if the have class="btn btn-primary" jonnyb: thanks, say hi to the dogs! :) luciash: s/the have/they have jonnyb: hmmm, maybe it was somewhere else, i'm trying to find an example... -: chibaguy 's dogs are happy to hear from jonnyb jonnyb: :D luciash: :) ricks99: fyi... i'm getting tons of "indexing failed" errors on t.o at the moment: chibaguy: I'm not very excited about the color of btn-info in fivealive-lite, but I believe it was just decided on as being kind of neutral in all the theme options. ricks99: Indexing failed while processing "34012" (type forum post) with the error "Could not perform index modification: Incorrect string value: 'xF0x9Fx8CxB2 xF0...' for column 'contents' at row 1"
Indexing failed while processing "32215" (type forum post) with the error "Could not perform index modification: Incorrect string value: 'xF0x9Fx8CxB2 xF0...' for column 'contents' at row 1"
etc jonnyb: hi ricks99 - that sounds like an issue Oliver found after upgrading to 19.x and utf8mb4, i asked for more output on the issue but haven't seen any yet, i guess the index is just borken there :( ricks99: ah. thx for confirmation @jonnyb jonnyb: i think the discussion was on the admin mail list if you want to give him a nudge ;) (or me, if i missed anything) ricks99: k. thx luciash: hi again
how is that possible that even when in composer.lock there is bootstrap-tour specified to load v0.12.0 I still get v0.11.0 on branch 19.x?
there is nothing in vendor/ or vendor_custom/ btw which could cause it robertokir: joined #tikiwiki luciash: but indeed vendor_bundled/vendor/sorich87/bootstrap-tour/build/css/bootstrap-tour.css still indicates v0.11.0
how come?
what can we do about it? jonnyb: Hi luciash - i just added some comments to this effect here: https://dev.tiki.org/tiki-view_tracker_item.php?itemId=6677&threadId=6875&cookietab=1#threadId6875
Basically they've got their version comments wrong - we need to wait for 0.13 i think :( luciash: aaaah, only minified is v0.12.0? oops
I am just checking downloaded zip package if we distribute it the same there
the .tip was the class in BS3 I presume... is it still the same in BS4?
unpacking 27 825 items from the zip takes quite some time...
(11 minutes to go ;))
jonnyb: thanks for the reveal! jonnyb: :) luciash: jonnyb: yeah, it is shipped the same in the zip... maybe we could just use the minified version instead or the standalone one (whatever that means) jonnyb: I tried that and it has the same bug (as i meant to say on the comments) - it's fixed in their master branch only luciash: aha, coo, thanks Tiki|bot: Recent Bug: - http://dev.tiki.org/item6957-Resizeable-textarea-does-not-change-the-mouse-style-for-chrome

Jyhem or Jyhem_laptop ?
I made some progress with show2.t.o, but I have some question for you Jyhem: yes ? (not in front of the laptop :) )

this is slightly vexing… :-) luciash: Caarrie|away: we would like to add https://sourceforge.net/p/tikiwiki/code/feed as "Recent commit" Caarrie|away: i will try to work on it later luciash: Caarrie|away: thanks a lot! :) Caarrie|away: i still would not mind handing over the bot to someone else if they want to run it
