The installation requires way more than 1G - the auto-installation of 6.2 (or whatever is latest) failed to install on my 4G and 8G CF cards, as the volume group stuff wants over 8G and that's after the boot and 8G of default swap. I'm upgrading from a system that isn't using 17M of /boot (a 5.x system) and is using less than 1.4G of / space. So I'm trying to use a 50M boot area (I can go t0 75M if needed), no idea of how much swap, and then a few gig for /. The current box has 512M of memory and runs just fine. We pretty much only use it for domain login authentication. | [01:17] |
