login is case insensitive - at least on dev.tw for me
and on my local
there was some big discussion some longer time ago about logins and case-sensitivity... it was a problem of changing it in the code and not breaking backwards-compat... but I don't remember what was the conclusion - it was coded regarding the conclusion though, that I'm sure about!

Since theme files are in both trunk and branch2.0, ones to be moved out could be deleted rather than moved to mods (since they can be moved to mods from 2.0 later, and it's probably better not to have duplicate files in mods and branch2.0), right?

you don't need to duplicate efforts anymore as changes from stable to trunk will be done periodically

The themes.tw.o versions are a little old now. Most up-to-date versions are in the mods svn repository.

Well, the body has a red background image that mostly gets covered up by the dark areas behind text, etc. But if there's a lag in the page loading, the red might show for a while, which might not be too nice to look at.
For a site about hell or something, it'd be ok..... ;-)
I like the idea of the body background supplying the color for the header and footer parts, because it avoids the problem of those parts sometimes not going full width or (for footer) moving up from the window bottom on short pages.
chiba - I guess my connection is too fast - it loaded w/o problem :)
my only comment would be that if the page is long, you can see where the background img ends and starts
also, I think everyone is used to complex pages taking their time to fall into place while loading - as long as they look good once the loading is done, I dont think its that big of a deal

Nop, but I tried with an empty css file, that at least *felt* a blt faster loading than a full theme. Didn't look much, but it helped speed-wise. So I'm using that for my mobiles atm

I had that problem on my site, sefurl was enabled, rewriting is not enabled in apache, disabled sefurl, all working. Though I do not know if enabling/disabling it does anything more than that

forums_last_topics does do something similar but does get outdated soon.
since_last_visit_new does something similar too, but gets flooded fast if one thread is very active

shoot, I think I screwed up a bit.    "svn switch https://tikiwiki.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/tikiwiki/branches/2.0 ./mods "   is I think just adding all of tw under ./mods/ now...   
http://dev.tikiwiki.org/Download#Using_stable_from_SVN_2_x_     seems to indicate that I should have done:   "svn  up https://tikiwiki.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/tikiwiki/mods/trunk ./mods"   cuz there is no branches/2.0 under .../mods/  -- anyone?  
ctrl-c isn't working to kill the bad "svn switch ..."
if you want to kill it try something like "ps aux |grep svn" and then kill -9 <process id>

wow - bad bug on dev.tw.o when editing my user-tracker items... after "Save and back items list" I get redirected to tiki-view_tracker_item.php (with no prepended domain name)

ok, so i should do the secdb afterwards, I think.    
so, done with running tiki-install.php in a browser, and running the 1.9to2.0 script.   i got this output:  Tiki installer v2.0 RC2  
  Upgrade complete. Your database has been configured and Tikiwiki is ready to run!  You can now log in into Tikiwiki as user admin and start configuring the application.    Upgrade operations executed successfully: 831 SQL queries.  			 			  Operations failed: 273 SQL queries.  Display details.  During an upgrade, it is normal to have SQL failures resulting with Table already exists messages.
some failures were for table already exists, some for duplicate column name, duplicate key, unknown column, duplicate entry for key, 
I think I (everyone?) should run "mysql -f -u tw_user -p  tw_db < db/tiki_1.9to2.0.sql"   --- any comments?
maybe not.  maybe -f just results in full completion of the .sql script, perhap like running it in the browser.

Is Eph implemented through Directories?  .htaccess says eph99 uses URL tiki-directory_browse.php?parent=99

..dropping out of edit mode... yup, there is a tiki-view_eph, so .htaccess looks like it is wrong.
I was going to edit http://dev.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Download with my observations from today, but I can't seem to find the edit button anymore.
I hope the bug tracker is still working so you can get that fixed.
Now to do some real work!    
{TRACKERITEMFIELD(fieldId=1, test=1, value=on)}   doesn't seem to recognize that the fieldId=1 checkbox is checked (it always goes to the ELSE clause).
