hi marc polom marclaporte hehe http://amette.eu/blogpost294 polom all marclaporte: Do you know who handles CIA? I'd really like here to announce commits in here again... what is problem? she is autistic since weeks she didn't say anything in here... ... and actually she even dropped off once (that was CIA-8 or something), but current CIA-14 doesn't do any better... http://cia.vc/account/bots/7881/ ... I guess there could be some problem with her not getting the sf-mails correctly or such? Would need to check on cia-site, I think. it's currently inactive oh, why? I don't know wanna investigate? sure You should have all the access you need ok, cool - thanks! :) "The bot you are requesting access to, TikiWiki on Freenode, has been claimed exclusively by another user: Mary Luketich. " Who is that? she is a Tiki user where do you see that? I accessed "Bots" in the left hand menu and then wanted a new bot to join #tikiwiki as I couldn't see the current bot anywhere in the web-interface Can you override? I can write here a mail to ask to give control over the bot to me.. s/here/her ok ok, send her a message dang: s/send/sent my logs tell me that this was the last time CIA said anything: #tikiwiki.06-07.log:11:54:09< CIA-11> chibaguy * r13162 /mods/trunk/ (32 files in 7 dirs): [NEW] Faulkner theme for TikiWiki 1.10. Adaptation of Demus Design original (http://www.opendesigns.org/preview/?template=961). so it has nothing to do with the move to SVN or such... but I still think that it might be something in the sf.net configuration... cia.vc says: "# You may already be using a hosting service, like SourceForge.net or Gna!, which provides built-in CIA.vc integration. Check with your hosting provider for details. You may need to ensure that CIA.vc and your hosting provider use the same project name. " - so I think, that some sf.net admin should have a look at the SourceForge side of things, too. There is also the possibility of "If your project uses a public Subversion repository, the CIA.vc server can contact your repository directly and check for commits. " - but I would rather use the sf.net integration as I think, that it's more performant. amette: I will promote you temporarily to admin on SF so you can investigate, ok? ok, sure, thanks done thank you for investigating works - thanks np, I miss CIA ;) marclaporte: ah, nope, nothing wrong on sf.net side - here are all the commits: http://cia.vc/stats/project/tikiwiki so you can remove my admin status again, thanks - it must be something on CIA bot-side amette: fyi: http://www.irseek.com/ wow, cool - thanks! :) I removed you from project admin but I left you all the other SF rights ah, great - thank you! :) hehe *g* !deop amette :P yay! yeah, it has been such a long time that I totally forgot how to claim my admin-rights in here... but chanserv is very helpful, when being nice to her.. ;) sure cs is a female? :P but I'm not so sure, if that helped anything for CIA - I think, I gotta wait for Mary Luketich to anser... yeah, all bots are females ;) then why do i call my bot a guy? it's like with computers, ships and so on... because you're a gal? ;) hehe sylvieg: around? I have a question regarding how to fix a bug in sefurl... wrote a mail to devel-list Hi all Newbie Alert !! Can someone help me out on a small problem with permissions. I set up wiki approval and now any user other than admin cannot view the homepage on login. Any help available please amette: should the sefurl fix in the rewrite rule polom hi all marclaporte: you here? y marclaporte: should i create tiki_2.0to3.0.sql? polom sylvieg: nice! :) not sure though - wrote another mail.. ;) I think so marclaporte: ok. mstef: yeah, go ahead amette: I do not think there is a standard on slfurl... what do you mean? a standard? for how they have to look? yes why it is ? or & no, there's not - it's afaik just "making readable URLs and having as little as possible in a query string" - like: be RESTful ah, yup, it's just that Apache breaks on URLs that don't start the query string with "?"... mstef: : also, make sure it's only bug fixes in 2.o because we are in RC mode marclaporte: i will. ... anything appended with only "&" and no "?" is being treated as a complete URL with path and no query string and we hope never to release a 2.1 and go directly to 3.0 in 6 months With the new theme enhancements sylvieg: I don't know when this saved_msg=y was introduced, but perhaps it is so new that you didn't notice the problem - but then I guess you would have noticed it with &bl=n as you use multilingual often, I guess at first I started coding something like: append stuff to $query_string and then check if we have feature_sefurl and according to that -> $url .= '?'.$query_string or $url .= '&'.$query_string ... which I then luckily tested on a page in a structure and it broke on me - so then I decided to rather ask around before I make things worse.. ;) ... but probably one could do it the way I thought, but then make the way of appending $query_string dependend on finding a "?" in $url or not - and not make it dependend on feature_sefurl... ... uhm - is that understandable, what I babble here!? :P i cannot login on dev.tw.o, anyone knows the reason? seems to be an xmlrpc error 5 my apache does not complained on ikitrunk/HomePageBis&bl=n&saved_msg=y mstef: looks like someone broke down the intertiki-server to a default Apache installation: http://tikiwiki.org/ :PP sylvieg: ooooh.... :O dammit - I already fixed no bl=y after edit - you want to see the page , not the best page after un edit true do you have the latest htaccess? I think so - but I couldn't svn up last night... lemme try again... just check if the rewrite rule on page is loosy - it was too restricted before back in 10mn yep, it looks pretty simple: RewriteRule ^([-_\+A-Za-z0-9]+)$ tiki-index.php?page=$1 [QSA,L] and the last one (multibyte char support) is commented out ok, cu later sylvieg: I think we will really have to fix that: http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3986#section-3.4 - it has to be a question mark as far as I understand Hello! :) heya ohertel .) polom ohertel! coming here to tell us why tw.o is "It works!"? ;P I'm just working on the de.tw.o and tw.o move to the new server. :) tiki-admin_security.php -> in branches/2.0, it's not reporting the values for me ex.: register_globals is blank ok :) new server. miam!! faster, 4 GB of memory. :) yay! and we have some borked stuff in the database... Duplicate entry '?????????????' for key 1 so we will use 2 of those Gigs for the TikiWiki Seti@Home team? ;) haha, sure not. *g* the moved tw.o you can see here for now: http://antibug.de/tiki-index.php still working on rewrites and minor stuff... ,) Ok, I added a new "we moved" article to tw.o, so if you see that one, then your dns points to the new server already. :) mine does already - that's why I see "It works!" and intertiki-logins don't work... ;) hm. shouldnt say "it works" .P yeah, cause it doesn't :P ? well, yes, the Apache works - but tw.o doesn't... how about just changing the "ServerName antibug.de" - should be all that's needed... ... as antibug.de works nicely! :) Ah yuss... I didnt define the virtual hosts yet. haha one sec :) *g* ok :) VirtualHost de.tikiwiki.org:80 overlaps with VirtualHost tikiwiki.org:80, the first has precedence, perhaps you need a NameVirtualHost directive hm... that worked on the old server... gnaaah. yeah, some stuff changed in Apache - I still have to clean out a couple of hundred AllowOverride cause they are useless in later Apaches - but they fill the error log on every restart.. ;) and I'd put an IP-Adress instead of tikiwiki.org or such... do you see the new page now? ... define the domain only through ServerName and optional ServerAlias nope tikiwiki.org -> "It works!" and tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php -> "The requested URL /tiki-index.php was not found on this server." and now? better :) or put another way "Now it really works!" ;) just http://tikiwiki.org isn't redirecting to http://info.tikiwiki.org yet hm, but index.php is there ... amette you need to update your rewrtite rules it is why it is not working there is no rewriterule for that. sylvieg: svn up is running - takes some time still it's just the index.php with a redirect. ohertel: hmmm... you're sure that http://tikiwiki.org uses the right DocumentRoot? as currently it points to the Apache Default documentroot with the "It works!" html-document anf after copy _htaccess .htaccess amette: browser caching problem? ,) sylvieg: ok, I will let you know about it when svn up is finished (sf.net reaaaalllly slow right now) - but I think that having query-strings appended without a "?" is rather sef-unfriendly... :-/ ohertel: ah, yup .) Ctrl-Reload did the trick :p amette: can you load the index.php directly? yep, redirects me as well and tw.o directly works now, too? or not yet? putting http://tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php works nicely, yes no i mean tikiwiki.org directs to info.tw.o now? yup, exactly - yes ok =) where to set interface language? I tried setting it in modules -> i18n. no effect that was, what was fixed with Ctrl-Reload ;) ohertel: now lets fix Intertiki logins.... ;) There is some RewriteRule missing/wrong or such - login on dev.tw.o gives: "XMLRPC Error: 5 - Didn't receive 200 OK from remote server. (HTTP/1.1 302 Found) " hm... all installed... sf is so slow today.... hmmmm.... http://tikiwiki.org/remote.php gives a 200 - remote.php is for intertiki, right? so it should work... some caching on dev.tw.o perhaps?? doesn't work from doc.tw.o either though... the remote.php is still on the old server, too... so there should be no problem. well, I think that dev.tw.o knows it's own address and asks for the new tw.o to answer the request, right? Uh darn, let me think. .P isnt there an ip coded in? ouch :P marc ? marclaporte: ping --^ back tikiwiki.org has a new ip? yup. marclaporte: is intertiki set up using an IP instead of the tikiwiki.org hostname on the different subdomains? ohertel: but when there's still the old one accessible... it's weird, why it break when using an IP..?!? :O no idea. maybe marc can have a look whats the exact error? which file is missing? Voker57, in Tiki 2.0, language is set on tiki-admin.php?page=i18n; in 1.9, maybe admin general? (sorry, I don't have a Tiki 1.9 handy right now.) chibaguy: i've set language to russian on page=i18n, interface is still in english... amette: ah no, cant be working with an ip, because it wouldnt know which docroot to use... so must be a domain name... thought so, too - yeah - it has to be on the side of the new server... ah that was the "use database for translations" switch Could your browser langauge preference be affecting it? I don't undertand what I need to do amette: hm no, when I try to log in to dev.tw.o I dont even see a request in the access log. sylvieg: yes, with the new .htaccess it works - but still the URL is http://www.blubb.com/MyPage&saved_msg=y - which is not RFC-compliant and therefore most probably not search engine friendly at all... :-/ ... but as it works with the .htaccess I we don't have to fix it for 2.0 - but should think about improving this imho. ohertel: hmmm.... mysterious chibaguy: no, it's disabled. Now interface is half-translated marclaporte: talk to the powers you believe in to help us fix it quickly... ;) ohertel: can you turn on php-loggin on dev.tw.o and see if there is something useful in it? no, i cant log in. .P dev.tw.o is on marcs server I think. sylvieg: yeah, hmm... I think the saved_msg is very nice, but making it optional would be ok for me, too... though it wouldn't fix our URL-problem aaah, ok, I understood it before like you are moving dev.tw.o, too.... no, only de.tw.o and tw.o. Thats the 2 ones I am hosting aaah, de != dev ;) ,) does de.tw.o use intertiki? ugh, translations are ugly in tikiwiki no darn, that would have been a nice way to test marclaporte: stop talking to the powers that are, turn on PHP error logging on dev.tw.o and send us any output you get, when logging in.... ;) :p though I'm not so sure if PHP-logging will tell us such stuff..... hmmm.... hmm, well, perhaps it would with E_ALL ... probably it could be enough to enable PHP error reporting in dev.tw.o admin? ohertel: dev.tw.o still has 85.25.20.236 as tw.o's IP intertiki wants to access /remote.php - so we were on the right track there ? why still, that is marcs server and not mine, so it wont change the ip. no, no, I mean tikiwiki.org resolves to 85.25.20.236 on the server running dev.tw.o and the old tw.o is in maintenance mode - probably that's the problem? ah okay let me check. .) hmm... nope, not really - I get a HTTP 200 when using the old IP, too... ohertel: nope, my FF didn't take the /etc/hosts change - so LiveHeaders showed it right... "POST /remote.php HTTP/1.0" 302 552 "-" "PEAR XML_RPC" .D yup ... but wget knows the truth: HTTP Anforderung gesendet, warte auf Antwort... 302 Found Platz: tiki-error_simple.php?error=We+are+in+maintainance+mode%2C+please+stand+by.+%3A-%29[folge] yep, yep .) but that's bad. ah, didn't notice that yet... :P I can either open old tw.o or we cant use the slaves. :-/ how about just not allowing logins on the old site? but when I open tw.o, people will start working on it... yes, that's what i did.- that's the maintainance mode... hmm, right - no other way to do it? But that disables login for intertiki, too. the biggest problem with allowing intertiki is that we will loose new registrations... Voker57, translations are done by volunteers, and maybe there's no way to check quality, etc. chibaguy: no, the way it's done is ugly... plain php files gettext would be much better ohertel: configure apache mod_proxy to point remote.php to the new IP? ;) Oh, right. That needs to be improved. wont work... you know... using the right docroot... besides that the 'slave' ip is checked. I don't know when, though. as there is the proxy ip given then ... ah, dang... first one could be solved, but second is bad, yeah... I will reopen tw.o but before that add a BIG red banner or something... .D heh, ok... ,) ohertel: put it in the site-header or so ok, updated ,D If anyone is still going to edit I cant help. Will be lost. .P ok - that should be an obvious warning ,)) yeh, and dev.tw.o working again... we somehow need to split this intertiki away from regular login. yup, that would be pretty good, yes... ... though not easy - e.g. what to do with people registering in a case like this one? we now worked around the issue with intertiki-login from e.g. dev.tw.o and the editing of tw.o.... ... buuuut: what's with people now registering on tw.o? their account will be lost... yes. That's like 24 hours of trouble. .P hehe, yup ;) well, hmm, it's not that difficult actually... intertiki would need to be read-only, when closing the site (maintenance mode)... that would do everything we need, right? yes ok then .) 2 switches... disable logins, disable logins including intertiki first one is for a case like we have now. and second one is for like "we update the database" ... yup, that sounds reasonable http://dev.tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_tracker_item.php?itemId=1885&trackerId=5 marclaporte: very nice bug-reporting with the "Thank you for submitting..." and the title of the bug! :) :-) honeygirl moves next? ;) I am trying to ,) *g* but somehow it just doesnt do nothing. ,) ah, reminds me of L0gg3r .P ah darn, how do I download a file from sourceforge via wget? that sucks... ah there it is... smallish link... ok I can just forget using supybot, it uses python 2.3, and my server doesnt support 2.3 anymore... ah oh... another line... >= 2.3 ok, i need an identd for ubuntu... ,) yup, sf download sucks - hmm, install python 2.3 into /usr/local perhaps? - and do you mean inetd? ;) Nah, works with 2.5 too I mean ident daemon ah, cool :) irc server checks back... oh, ok... supybot runs, but isnt allowed to get in yet. ,) hm... slidentd - minimal ident (RFC 1413) daemon ? ,) minimal sounds good ;) uh oh dpkg: syntax error: unknown group `Debian-exim' in statoverride file something borked ah, sounds like the debian-illness of always wanting to install its beloved Exim again and you got postfix there, so the exim-group is removed from /etc/group fixed. .P :) how did you do it? http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=617496 thanks stop webmin, vi /var/lib/dpkg/statoverride, remove the line, restart webmin ,) ah, ok ;) on which port are identds listening? O.o ah, 113. .) need to open in the firewall... ,) hmpfz, not working... what's the difference between tiki_p_view_calendar and tiki_p_view_events good question maybe view events one by one? vs in calendar mode perhaps first one allows you to view the calendar and "browse for events" and with the second one you can only view events? like when someone sends you a direct link? ohertel: tikiwiki.org RewriteRules for sefURL don't work - check it out: http://tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=TikiFestPorto vs http://tikiwiki.org/TikiFestPorto hm thats in the .htaccess, right? yup, at the very bottom hm.. mod_rewrite is on... what's required for .htaccsss? another mod? nope, just make sure that AllowOverride allows .htacces and make sure that you activated the _htaccess by renaming it to .htaccess (run htaccess.sh to do that) I did ok access_module required... dont have one like that... maybe named different in apache 2.2? access_module? never heard of that... I guess it's compiled in? you can check in /server-info ah, thats apache 1.3... hm... Ah, probably AllowOverride it is... let me check ,) ,) http://tikiwiki.org/Home works :) Just tell me all you find and I go fix it. yup, great! Thanks! .) alright :) xref and stuff is still missing... branch 2.0 tar files should be there already. :) Links on that page ... http://dev.tikiwiki.org/Download ohertel: : where are 3.0 tarballs? trunk? If you tell me the line I need to use for checkout, there will be some in 5 minutes. :) http://de.tikiwiki.org/tar/lastiki_BRANCH-3-0.zip *[http://de.tikiwiki.org/tar/lastiki_BRANCH-1-9.zip|Future 1.9.x (BRANCH-1-9 from CVS)] *[http://de.tikiwiki.org/tar/lastiki_BRANCH-2-0.zip|Future 2.0.x (branches/2.0 from SVN)] *[http://de.tikiwiki.org/tar/lastiki_BRANCH-3-0.zip|Future 3.0.x (branches/trunk from SVN)] which page were the svn commands again? oups *[http://de.tikiwiki.org/tar/lastiki_BRANCH-3-0.zip|Future 3.0.x (trunk from SVN)] dev.tw.o/SVNTips ? http://dev.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Download I suggest http://de.tikiwiki.org/tar/lastiki_2-x.zip instead of http://de.tikiwiki.org/tar/lastiki_BRANCH-2-0.zip It's using the name of the branch I hand over. http://detikiwiki.org/tar/lastiki_trunk.zip uh ... http://de.tikiwiki.org/tar/lastiki_trunk.zip ok what is status on tw.o? ircbot for logging still not working, xref and doxygen are not generated yet, and I am on branch-1-11 from cvs right now. All else should work. if you find something else, tell me. for cvs you want branch-1-11 or head? branch-1-11? CVS? branch-1-9, sorry. ,) Are modules WYSIWYCA? no idea. I can't access http://tikiwiki.org/TikiFestStrasbourg it brings me back to the old server. maybe a problem with dns, have to wait till all is updated ... ok do I need to update anything at easydns? I did uh ... http://de.tikiwiki.org/tar/lastiki_BRANCH-1-9.zip Okay, works too. Do we need HEAD too? from CVS? no only BRANCH-1-9 from CVS all the rest from SVN ok then we got all now. :) I'll think about better names of the tars, like you said. We'll see. Bad thing is we have to update all pages and links, and any direct URLs people have will be broken then, too. And holding it twice, old and new name is too much work. lphuberdeau_: you here? we can make htacess redirect do i have to put a new preference into tiki_2.0to3.0.sql or is this automatically handled via lib/setup/prefs.php? just prefs.php I think. The goal of prefs was to make simpler And to permit things like reset to default haha, doxygen is LOTS faster than before, like 10 times... .P so that's why lphuberdeau deleted my line from the fresh tiki_2.0to.3.0.sql? i just ask, because i want to commit "authenticated rss" feature http://dev.tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_tracker_item.php?itemId=1515&trackerId=5&show=view and i have made the whole thing optional, using a preference. so now i wonder, whether to put the pref into the upgrade sql script or if prefs.php is enough. that, I don't know. nyloth would know and when you find out, can you document? http://dev.tikiwiki.org/Hello+World yes, i wanted to add this earlier already, but dev.tw.o was not available. marclaporte: yes, that's what i wanted to update, and the tracker of course. http://de.tikiwiki.org/dox-trunk/html/ marclaporte: hmmm, i guess it works this way, prefs.php provides a default, and this get's only written to the database when i change it via the admin interface. http://de.tikiwiki.org/dox-BRANCH-1-9/html/ I am certain nyloth thought this out polom http://de.tikiwiki.org/dox-BRANCH-2-0/html/ doxygen available now, too. all 3 branches. :) are upgrading all the tiki infrastructure today? de.tw.o and tw.o the two I am hosting. nice :) happy updating! almost done. .) sylvieg: : you here? chibaguy: just for 2 mns s/gary/marc http://de.tikiwiki.org/xref-BRANCH-1-9/ http://de.tikiwiki.org/xref-BRANCH-2-0 http://de.tikiwiki.org/xref-trunk okay, docs complete. :) cool ohertel thx update as usual once a day, between 1-2 am GMT+1 we have duplicate plugin in 2.0 subscribegroup and subscribegroups sylvieg : ^ sylvieg: will add your login soon to the server too, so you can tw.o up, if needed. .) do you svn up now - or are you still copying the files I will automate all stuff so there isnt much required to so then. hm.. good question, I could do a svn up, too... does this ignore files I copied in there? marclaporte: i cannot edit that page. sylvieg: and I have replaced the remote.php with the old, smaller one... will this be killed by svn up? files you copied in your directory will remain I could set up a cron to update tw.o, too. But I dont know if that is a good idea. no the file will appear as modified but if you do not commit - it will stay the only risk is to have a conflick when you svn up imho better to do by hand We could make it a different way. :) I will add a cronjob that will check for a flag. And we add a link for 'admin' to set the flag. :) So you can update tw.o by a click. :) or better: you click, and then at the next.. say 5 minutes, tw is being updated. we need a mod-two_up.php .D okay, what else is missing besides the irc logger for http://irc.tikiwiki.org ? 1 click web access to IRC chat room from irc.tikiwiki.org ,) amette : looked into some stuff what? where? who? how? ;) amette & ohertel: what is our plan for IRC? yes, the solution currently running at http://irc.amette.eu has a pretty nice interface with everything you need... ... only thing to rip out of it would be e.g. the "set password" dialog as everyone can lock the channel logs... amette: Do you have live-logging, too? ... some other logging-bot would be nice though... I think that such a combined solution would be pretty nice Logs of this channel are not protected. You can protect them by a password. -> can you get rid of this? I modified the bot I have to write all stuff to database. ohertel: yup, it's L0gg3r in here - she comes with the packages that provides the web-interface, but she is a pretty dumb bot marclaporte: the plugins are differens http://doc.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=PluginSubscribeGroup%2FPluginSubscribeGroups&structure=Documentation marclaporte: yes, that should be easy amette: no, i mean: can you see the live logs somewhere, too? I only see archives there. ohertel: the thing you should know about that web-inerface - it is written in bash... ;P argh ohertel: ah, you mean, like dynamically updating the page? yes nope, that's not in there similar to the current http://irc.tikiwiki.org/ sylvieg: : oups How about this : http://cgiirc.org/ ohertel & amette ohertel: hard to see right now as it currently isn't logged... ;) sylvieg: : two plugins are useful? marclaporte: that's not for logging, or is it? but you mean like installing it in parallel? yeah, I thought about that the cnrs is using both marclaporte: thanks a lot, you have an editlock on that page. the group is more subscribe in a newsletters/notification mstef: just override the groups is more putiing yourself in group marclaporte: ok. thanks later guys. ohertel: mose had once done a galaxia workflow which updated the tikiwiki (I think) But I think we'll stay on stable 2.0.x for a while on tw.o If we go to 3.0, it'll be more on dev.tw.o no 2.1? hopefully no 2.1 http://irc.amette.eu/irclogger_log_search/tikiwiki?search=sylvieg&action=search&error=0 -> search is excellent So we do releases in the full numbers now? :) Not up to 1.99? ,) but 99.0 instead? it's excellent to be able to quote a specific line: http://irc.amette.eu/irclogger_log/tikiwiki?date=2008-07-16,Wed&sel=992#l988 yes, full numbers http://irc.amette.eu/irclogger_log/tikiwiki?date=2008-07-16,Wed&sel=992#l988 oups http://dev.tikiwiki.org/roadmap 2 releases per year trunk has to stay usable, much like BRANCH-1-10 was for the last year or more well, I'm not against releasing one minor release in between - something like 2.1 might really make sense, especially as after the 2.0 release it doesn't move - so the 2.1 is not too much work, but gives nice fixes - also it imho looks nicer to have at least some version in between ;) but basically yup: in a perfect world there is no 2.1 needed I think we'll have a 2.1 because of long gestation period but I think we won't have 3.1 well, let's see... we have high expectations for 3.0 - and it would be amazing to get all that stuff right with the first release and without any gestation period ;) imho we should stick very tightly to our half-year-cycle (just as e.g. Ubuntu does), but not betray ourselves on potentially needed minor versions - it would be perfect, if they are not needed - but it won't hurt, if we have to release one ok, pjirc module on tw.o works again, too. :) blabla .D heh .P amette : +1 Hi folks :-) hi Caarrie|away oups lol hi caralluna :-) if you can stay to half year then your april release will always be ready for the fall Linux releases, and fall will be ready for spring. You could do a "fix release in Jan and Jul if prudent. II am using 2.0 svn as my main site at the moment ... about to set upp 3.0 on my test site ... but wondered ... when updating the tiki files, will that delete files I have added manually in my local tw tw-dir? dthacker: hmm, good point - we had many good points about the timing of our releases, but this one we missed :) caralluna: depends on how you do it - but rule of thumb (actually for anything, even if you are just reading your mails or brushing your teeth): do backups! ;) and of course we hope there will be no security releases, but the bad guys are always poking at things. amette: lol yeah I won't have anything important there, only for test use :-) caralluna: : you will be using SVN? yup, that's e.g. one thing that might force us to release a x.1 release - well, nothing too bad imho - as we have a tight schedule and a decent code-free, we won't have any newly broken stuff in there, so a release basically just means packaging once more s/code-free/code-freeze marclaporte: Yeah, I'm using svn 2.0 on my main site and just want to keep updated on the progress on the 3.0 :-) ... so I'll be using svn on both if you use svn, your files will be fine ok thanks :-) if you edit default files, it will attempt to merge changes all the other files are left untouched lol ... my next qustion :-) you psychic or something? :-P yes - it will be more the problem that you might _not_ get some of the changes in SVN when they collide badly with your local changes (had that today with the .htaccess) caralluna: pssst.... don't say it out loud ;P I don't think I1ll be doing much more changes than a few css-changes :-) now that I think again - today with .htaccess was another problem... but somewhen I had such issues... just make sure to test with a clean checkout, if weird stuff happens... is there a "new features in 3.0"-page somewhere? I only know the dropped-features page :P http://dev.tikiwiki.org/RoadMap I see that some of you ppl in here greet each other with "polom" or something like that ... is that just like "hi" in some language I don't know or does it have another meaning? >whatis polom 'polom' could be (#1) a geeky greeting in #tikiwiki channel, simmilar to hello ;), or (#2) a common greeting in #tikiwiki that is often mirrored for answering like 'moloq' or 'bolow' or answer whatever you feel like right now, or (#3) a greeting in #tikiwiki that was once used by someone and quickly stuck to become common culture of the community, or (#4) just some word of babytalk ;P Sug4r`: thanks :) lol thanks :-) *g* caralluna http://tikiwiki.org/Glossary -> when the site is back works for me. ,) for me too marc: if it doesnt refresh for you then your pc remembers the old dns entry. latest windows versions with virusscanner have this as a dns spoof prevention or something... I rebooted and all was well then. :) reboo-what? :P yeh, windows doesnt even let me refresh dns cache anymore... it's locked. ipconfig /flushdns that doesnt work anymore since some updates. ,( you have Vista with all those glorious "security enhancements"? no, xp3 xp ouch - that really sucks :_/ xp sp3 I mean oh, even in XP - bah... :( Not sure if it is a virus scanner feature or sp3 feature. hmmm, but weird and sucky anyways... :-/ Cant find anything to clear the cache. and I cant find out why my ircbot cannot connect to the irc. timeout it says, but where, why.. hm ping to irc server works. yeah, I wonder the same with L0gg3r - sometimes it connects instantly and then at other times it just doesn't do it - doesn't help to wait ten minutes between reconnects or such either.... ... then one try just succeeds - pling and in! on the old server it works pretty well I have no problems whatsoever connecting with my irssi despite not having any identd and I have never had those problems with supybot when I still had one... ... dunno, if freenode has some new policies!? hmmm.... so, if you now start honeybot on the old server it just works immediately? apparantly .P 10 seconds and it is in. hmmm.... It's the same config file... port 6667 is open, identd is running... does freenode have some blacklists on IP-ranges? but how does it then distinguish between irssi and L0gg3r ?? I mean, I run them on the same machine... it's really weird... and sucks big time as L0gg3r doesn't give any meaningful output :-/ hm, let me try something. :) ohertel puts on the black hat... ,) sylvieg: : /me wonders about subscribegroup(s) plugins and InterTiki... ohertel: please run the db-upgrade scipt on tw.o - Unknown column 'wiki_authors_style' in 'field list' ;) oop .P *g* We will find all the bugs on the new tw.o, I'm sure! ;) try again :) aaah - much better! :) thanks! .) where did you get that? on editing TikiFestPorto when saving oop ,) it is a new feature, that you can choose the author's style per page afaics well, F5 and "send again" then nothing was lost - don't worry ;) hm... ah that sucks... well, do you have an idea now at least what exactly it is that is sucking? no ok, that sucks .P hm, is there a text mode irc client for linux? then I go and install that one... I suggest irssi text mode? I have no gui for the server... you could try bitchx, but the "Name ist Programm" ;) yup, irssi is console so is bitchx yup, that's why I mentioned it - but bitchx really keeps usabilitywise what the name promises ;) i did get an odd message once on installing bitchx about foul language in the application :P hm, seems the irc client doesnt get anny connection either... from the same server Caarrie: oh yes, the default messages are uhm... hmm... 'nice' ;P ohertel: ooooooh - that's weird then... dunno that problem yet... ... but actually I now don't want to try it out, if it changed since the last time I logged in... ;) ok, it's another problem, the bot doesnt get a connect to the outside. maybe my firewall script is borked. hm, seems some basic stuff is missing. wget etc. can do connects to the outside, but all scripts cannot. polom
