hii all, i am using {TRACKERITEMFIELD} and that field for one user happens to have a CamelCase word, which tw is putting a ? after prompting to create a new wiki page. Many fields could have CamelCase. Is there a way to prevent tw putting in the "?"? I put )) (( around the {TRACKERITEMFIELD} tags, and that stopped the ?/create thing, but left the )) ((. Petjal2, one option is turn off camelcase words site-wide. Then ((link)) is used for wiki syntax links. Hmm, thanks, that's an interesting option... with maybe some huge repercussions... Nothing page-wide? I don't think so. I was thinking ~np~, but i think that would stop it from rendering the {TRACKERITEMFIELD} tags... Hey all, is there a way to see pages that have been linked to but do not yet exist? In other words pages that are awaiting creation. I'll look in the {TRACKERITEMFIELD} docs, maybe their is a flag there... Darkbee, there's a plugin called WANTEDPAGES or something like that. If you put it in a page, it'll list that kind of links. thanks... plugins was my next port of call ;) next question! :S Do slides only have a CSS associated with them... no template? I've never looked at how the slides pages are done. Not aware of any templates. I've changed the CSS and it looks nice... but I'm restricted to the table layout :( means that you have to get a little creative with transparent backgrounds and the like to pretend it's not a table :) I found slideshow folder in the styles folder, that seems to be all you need That folder contains the slideshow theme options. Apparently they all use the same html. so can I modify the HTML or is that not advisable? thanks for the wantedpages plugin tip..that was just the ticket! Well, you'll have to find the html first. And see how it's applied to the wiki content. hehe... I was afraid you would say that ;) It's not a big deal... I can do enough with the CSS to blend in with the rest of the site. thanks again sure good night/morning/afternoon all. Question mark in url in textarea of tracker breaks display of tracker (white page), Tiki 2.0svn. in the calendar, we need to display the TZ used Important to give feedback to the user I'd like to use a tracker to list themes, but don't know the best way to have a link field. The url is like http://tikiwiki.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/tikiwiki/mods/trunk/themes/abse.tar.gz?view=tar . The '?' here breaks the tracker display. Hmm, nocache parameter for wiki links seems to not work today. Heh, new anti-scripting thing has changed the line in wiki "Put in styles/ directory" to "Put in styles/ directory" :-) I have a strange error n tw2.0: PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function smarty_modifier_tiki_long_datetime() in /home/franck/Projects/tiki/tiki-2.0/tiki-calendars_rss.php on line 94 sorry, found the error, fixing it polom polom hi luciash hey chibaguy, sent a reply to your mail ;) ah, ok, luciash, thanks for clarifying. themes.tikiwiki.org looks like down marclaporte: themes is down marclaporte is very busy, but I'm hoping to see themes.tw.o on an svn-capable server so we can demo Tiki 2.0 :-). chibaguy: themes have been down for the last 18 mins but the server is still up "too many connections" db problem could be Well, that's the error message I'm getting:"Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)" it seems its recovering because before it wasnt even replying all those sites hosted by marclaporte was playing up abt an hour ago the themes critical just cleared. themes.tikiwiki.org is up what is the class we are suppose to use to clear both? Hi need some help on traslation I have upgrade a site from 1.9 to 2.0 and there are pages that were translated I have an english page and a french page, but from each one, it tells me the other is better translated how to fix that? @franck: u want to 'rest' so that tiki thinks both are equal/identical? sylvieg, class="clear" has property clear:both . ricks99: yes ricks99: how? thx chibaguy but it is not in all the css ex: tiikineat @franck: edit the english page. do not click "save" instead at the bottom click "COMPLETE TRANSLATION" then do the same for the french page and some have the clearfix sylvieg: clearfix ? the clearfix after clearfix is to make a div contian its floated children It's like putting
or
? ricks99: does not do it sorry was to slow to type clearfix is less markup and 'usually' works. ;-) I go english page, click update from it (french) click complete, then go french page and click update from it, and then click complete so do we put clearfix in evry styles? the module's contents may be cached. clear the tiki cache I find clearfix very useful. me too I prefer conceptually that the empty div - but I am not pro you guys decide what is the best - and we align all the styles on the decidion decision ricks99: cleared cache but no... the uptodateness is 100% though chibaguy: does clearfix work in ie6 ? says uptodate=100%, but still one is 'better' than the other? yes I have RC2 though ricks99: no it is worst than that for each page it says the other is better luciash: clearfix is the aslett clearing method - seems to be famous... just use the translate link and save ricks99: http://wiki.chapters.isoc.org/tiki-index.php?page=HomePage luciash, yes, I believe so. Also, * html .clearfix {height: 1%} must be used. @franck: y. i've had issues with the translation stuff too. u can add you comments here: http://wiki-translation.com/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?comments_parentId=251&topics_offset=5&topics_sort_mode=lastPost_desc&forumId=2 there might have been a save without any changes, making it confusing What do you mean a save without any changes? let's say you edit a page and change the description the translation change tracking recognizes the save and records it @lphuderdeau: but frank, did a fresh edit and selected COMPLETE TRANSLATION -- shouldn't that have foreced everything to become 'in sync'? however, the change size thing notices no changes aslett ? what a shame i never heard about him/her so you see 100% and still out of date... little weird I must admit the after modifior is not a new css property? the weird stuff, it tells me from the englsih page that the french page is better AND needs update @lphuderdeau: actually, i see the same thing here: http://wiki-translation.com/tiki-index.php how can the page be 100% up-to-date, but there be other languages listed as "better"? but i thought it uses after: pseudoclass rendering method and i wonder it is supported in ie6 actually doesn't 100% imply that it is "complete" (i.e., nothting can be "better")? in theory yes, but both are calculated based on different properties luciash: http://positioniseverything.net/easyclearing.html so shouldn't it be something less than 100%? or if 100%, the other langs should be shown as equilvalent? you want a login on the site to see? well, that's something that could be fixed, but really minor to me will probably work on those details at TikiFestPorto :) are you coming? I could use your help ;) lphuberdeau: no the stuff that confuses me, is that the french page is shown as better translated and also needs to be updated and if I go to the french page, same story with the english page but that's absolutly true editing both and selecting COMPLETE TRANSLATION *should* have cleared that up. maybe a bug? we just can't figure out a better wording @lphuderdeau: i'd love to.. but cant :( personally, i removed the % on my site -- i also found it unreliable and confusing. sylvieg, thanks ! LOL about "and let IE wrongly clearing it by itself" :-p i logged an issue earlier. there should be a fourth state "out-of-sync" -- too confusing to have a page shown as *both* better and worse. ricks99: agreed, but cannot get the sync... do u have a 'master language' set? ricks99: what do you mean? back : ) sylvieg, chibaguy: seems it does not work on my ie on ipaq though ;) which is from where i write now via putty/irssi :) wb ricks :) well, luciash, is supporting ie on ipaq a high priority? ;-) ricks99: what do you mean by a master language set? i *think* if u select a master lang, tiki will use that to determine you base (better/worse). lphuberdeau? you must be talking about the pivot language thing... only used to filter the display in the translation module chibaguy: sure it is not, that is why i smile :) I'm looking at the tiki-translated table which one? tiki-translated_objects :-) that one is not really useful in the current case lphuberdeau: yes I just noticed, the tiki_untranslated table is empty tiki_pages_translation_bits is where things happen I didn't create that one, no idea what it's about *rick hates his ISP :( ok source_transtalion_bit is NULL and original_translation_bit is null for all records and no flags either franck, the null part is not good when you do the translations, you use the icons in the translation module right? lphuberdeau: I had a feeling lphuberdeau: right but because my pages are translated already I don't change the content when I click complete translation is this a bug because I have a translation set already? when I did the upgrade? @franck: u may need to make some sort of actual minor edit (e.g., add a blank line at the end of the page). what should I have in the source_bit and original_bit field? i had the same situation, applying the translation stuff to a site that already had translations it does not change any bit field in any record propagation is broken... I have several record with same pageid but many different versions someone somewhere broke it I use RC2 code I just tested on branche 2.0 and? broken and I'm quite pissed about it what the svn history is telling you? actually, even the UI is broken lphuberdeau: I think you are for a fix... can you identify the issue and tell me how to manualy fix? which files from svn I should replace the code is just broken the stuff never even gets called you found what happened? or how to fix? that's sometimes the trouble of tw, you think your code is neat and then someone comes and break it and you don't realise lphuberdeau: another related bug, open a page in English, you click on translate, create new page called Projekt AMS, and then it shows Update 'Projekt AMS' based on '', it does not know on what it is based from actually, I'm about to throw up I know the feeling... ok, UI fixed... let me know which files you commit so I go and grab them and update my site and let you know if it works ;) Sending templates/pagehistory.tpl Sending templates/tiki-editpage.tpl Sending tiki-editpage.php nyloth, around? ok cool I just take these 3 files from svn and I'm cool? yeah should do RC3 really soon lphuberdeau: I think so as soon as the XSS is fixed lphuberdeau: ok let me see if better now lphuberdeau: ok the translations are now sync etc... but still a bug may be, I take a page in english, drop down to translate, select polish, new page, and I got to the edit page, content is pre filled with english version, but on top it is written translation based on '' and the '' contains nothing lphuberdeau: what do you think, does not seem a big issue? really minor to me lphuberdeau: ok btw: did you put the wiki-translation site in maintenance? yes, updating it with trim ok, I get alerted when these things happen ;) franck: you still get mails @sopac? marclaporte: yes you have mail hi PGamache! PGamache: : thanks for the tip! Yo! You didn't know about it? I didn't and now for something completely different: http://www.cuil.com/ PGamache: : I haven't read your book yet http://www.cuil.com/search?q=tikiwiki&sl=long Pffff! dont like cuil, but *love* searchcloud.net needs a better ui, but i love the concept ricks99: is that the wikipedia one? marclaporte: still no mail from you wiki-translation.com critical has dissappeared huh? site seems to work sorry site is back to normal I was updating it Is there support for daylight savings in 2.0, and if not, is there anybody working on it? polom I'm trying to figure out wiki page translations in 2.0 I create an english page I use the drop-down "translate" I create the associated french page I translate half the page, then I hit "partial translation" how do I get back to translating the rest and clic on "translation complete" ? I can only get to the normal page edit. Hi all :) hi! jyhem, you need to activate the translation module lphuberdeau: any good idea about sanitization of 'style' keyword ? I didn't follow the discussion so much, but I have the feeling the troublesome keywords would be easier to filter like behavior or such I'm not really a security person lphuberdeau: I thought about this, but I'm not convinced. It is easier to use many sorts of comments, special chars, etc. inside the style compared to the keyword 'style' itself (e.g. using /* and */). And It's probably harder to maintain the list of those things (behavior, url, ...) that could not follow standards in some browsers... mhhh browsers should just provide a switch we could place on elements like
and disable all the script exectution they add all around until they realize all their "features" actually cause security issues all around, we have to filter stuff lphuberdeau: ok, let me know when you have convinced MS ;p lphuberdeau: but agree on the principle lphuberdeau: I think I'll try to detect two different use of 'style' (the first as a tag, the other as style[SOME_POSSIBLE_CHARS]=), to affect less 'style' legitimate words feels like the only way to filter things properly is to use a real parser lphuberdeau: yes, this is my point of view for 3.0 :) lphuberdeau: but too late for 2.0 sure is lphuberdeau: another thought : the 'style' problem that is displayed as 'style' is really annoying in content that does not allow HTML in fine. Those places are mainly parsed as wiki. I can handle those '' in wiki parsing in order to avoid the conversion into '<x>', so they will not be displayed, as in HTML mode (and will be less annoying). What do you think ? well is bad as it breaks HTML validation but yes, adding an exception in the parser could be an option lphuberdeau: right, but it is what is used in the original function I proposed. The idea is clearely to have something that won't be displayed but breaks XSS code. Maybe should we replace it by a or something that does the same and HTML valid. Btw, it only affects content that may contain some keywords... not a so huge problem I think. lphuberdeau: ok, I'll try to add this exception. Anyone on who deals with themes? or has been working on them? kerrnel: chibaguy and luci, mainly ;) ok, will hit them up when they're around, thanks nyloth! hey, don't hurt the guys, we still need them badly love taps lol :) Doc does not state if WYSIWYG emits HTML or WikiSyntax: http://doc.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Wysiwyg&structure=Documentation SEWilco2: HTML, but there is features to allow some wiki syntax inside Can TikiWiki site search also search in HTML pages? I don't want to lose documents in the pile. you mean HTML wiki pages (from wysiwyg) or HTML static pages ? Hello. :) nyloth: I'd like to know both, to help decide on acceptable formats. I think I've seen mention that static HTML pages are not searched. Hi I had some questions about css formatting SEWilco2: yes, but HTML wiki pages are indexed for search. Hi ohertel :) note to the world, I do not respond to PM (lost my password many years ago, 2 days after getting it changed for the same reason) hm, how do I force a folder from SVN repository to disc again? I accidently deleted .svn in the cache folder.. ,) nyloth: Thanks. I'll probably turn on my WYSIWYG then. SEWilco2: Be warned it's an experimental feature in 2.0 nyloth: Even worse, I'm using 1.9.11 where it's not labeled whether experimental. ohertel: rm -rf ./temp/cache ; svn revert temp/cache or svn update temp/cache ah, revert it was. .P thanks. SEWilco2: Ouch, 1.9.11 ? Are you working in a museum ? ;p nyloth: Working with customers concerned about security and stability. Little documentation of 2.0 stability. Probably working in a bank. ^^ SEWilco2: 2.0 should be more secure and quite stable Yeah, I noticed the category group permission in 2.0 which I need. I have one internal wiki. I'll try 2.0 on that. :) Let's see... lunch, convert to 2.0, wiki training meeting in 3.5 hours... yeah, this will be either good or interesting. tw.o is based on a svn checkout now, so updates should be easier. :) lunch, backups, convert to 2.0, ... ohertel: ok :) ohertel: as dev.tw.o ;p nyloth: Nope, I just set up the wiki which I'll convert to 2.0. No data. Will actually be testing if conversion scripts fail with no data. Hi all. I'd like to include some of the new user's user-tracker info in tiki-edit_templates.php?template=mail/moderate_validation_mail.tpl (That's the email that gets sent to the admin to approve the new user that just tried to register. The admin would like to know a little about the user before approving them.) Can someone please teach me to fish in that pond? Thanks. :) Looking in other .tpls, in ./templates/tiki-plugin_trackerlist.tpl I see tiki-view_tracker_item.php?trackerId={$trackerId}&itemId={$items[user maybe that's a start... yesterday sylvieg gave me this: $mok = wikiplugin_trackeritemfield('y', array('fieldId'=>1, 'test'=>1, 'value'=>'y')); to put in a .php file Hello all OK, let's make it simpler. I can send a link to the admin like so: http://domain.com/tw2/tiki-user_information.php?userId=28 where 28 is the new user's id. So, I need to generalize it to something like: http://domain.com/tw2/tiki-user_information.php?userId={$mail_userid} but I'm just guessing that that is the right variable to use. Is there a list of available variables that I can look up? Or I could use http://domain.com/tw2/tiki-user_information.php?username={$mail_user} but what is the variable name I should use immediately after the ? to make that work? try view_user security.tikiwiki.org http says connect timeout Ooh, sylvieg is good, really good! How's that taste, marclaporte?! Yummy! Ugh: You do not have permission to write the template ...dropping down to the command line... priti: thx, if you need to report something, you can send it to security AT tikiwiki.org ok thnx re re actually, the theme mail template file doesn't exist, so I made a backup and edited ./templates/mail/moderate_validation_mail.tpl and added the lines: {tr}To view the user data, please follow the link:{/tr} http://domain.com/tw2/tiki-user_information.php?view_user={$mail_user} Thanks, sylvieg! Not exactly what I wanted, but good enough for now. (The admin has to click the view-user-data link, review the info, go back to the email, and then finally click the approval link. If the user_info info was in the email, the admin would only have to click the approval link.) Is the above 2-line edit to ./templates/mail/moderate_validation_mail.tpl worth committing? (I don't know how and am not approved, otherwise I would, after approval.) hi i have a tiki css question if anyone can help Steps 2 and 3 of SVN instructions are for updates but are not phrased to indicate whether they are required after step 1 - checking out SVN stable. http://dev.tikiwiki.org/Download#Using_stable_from_SVN_2_x_ Hmm. I'll have to port my SEFURL patch to 2.0 also. Well, rewriting 90% of it. Hi - css question - I created a default2_username css, but none of the styles are showing up when i reference them in my html Do I need to make any other config changes for these styles to show up? "Updating with SVN to HEAD is easy." OK, so it's easy. Is HEAD what I just checked out with "svn co https://tikiwiki.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/tikiwiki/branches/2.0" (I don't know if HEAD is a synonym for "the latest available version of -- in this case Stable".) hi - quick question - how do I disable users' ability to select their own css? lphuberdeau: About your RFC for the core, that I've just read : Great. Only two small comments : 1) For a proposal, maybe diagrams should be optional (depending on the complexity, and done on request) ; 2) for coding standards (for the core), Zend ask to use 4 spaces instead of tabs. We agreed on tabs. ok, that can be ammended ;) I think I mentionned something about diagrams ok, I let you make those small changes if you agree one about tabs is in Ideally the proposal should contain code samples demonstrating how the component will be used and diagrams or interfaces explaining how it will be implemented. lphuberdeau: btw, lphuberdeau, thanx for your recent work, I like it :) you mean inserting security issues in the installer? LOL no, not this one ;p but everybody make mistakes sometimes harold: hi, you should have 'Reg users can change theme:' in admin > login harold: well, for 1.9.x I'm not sure, but at least in 2.0 Uh... 2.0 stable says to use "tiki_1.8to1.9" to upgrade DB from 1.9. Is there an extra entry in that table, which made 2.0 put 1.9 out of alignment? In ./templates/mail/moderate_validation_mail.tpl , I hard coded my path as http://domain.com/tw2/tiki-user_information.php?view_user={$mail_user} which worked perfectly for me, but of course I can't commit that, I have to generalize the url. Elsewhere in that file is {$mail_machine} but that apparently points down to http://domain.com//tiki-login_validate.php . Does anyone know what variable I should use in this case? I found $mail_site but that doesn't give the tw root, just the domain.com part. Hmm. I came in partway of the style discussion. Don't know if it breaking "Custom Home" was mentioned. That's odd. Tried WYSIWYG. Save emitted 404 "The requested URL /HomePage&saved_msg=y was not found on this server." but the page was saved. Probably .htaccess needs tuning. Oops, I forgot to htaccess.sh after conversion. thanks nyloth - I knew that was it, but had a hard time finding the right screen harold: you're welcome SEWilco2: I don't see the relation between Custom Home and style SEWilco2: Btw, you can test the last branches/2.0 if you want ;) nyloth: better to keep related discussions for other place ;) hi nelson :) luciash: sure, but, btw what is commited may have to be tested :) luciash: did you recently have a look at stuff ? ;p nyloth: yep, and it sucks :) well, i was wrong with common text, sorry but still, having it in code listings... I'm trying to tweak tiki-login_validate.php to get it to give me a variable like {$mail_twroot} that returns something like "http://domain.com/tw2/" so that I can use that in the email to goes to the admin to approve a new user that just registered. In this section: $foo = parse_url($_SERVER["REQUEST_URI"]); $foo1 = str_replace('tiki-login_validate','tiki-login_scr',$foo['path']); $machine =$tikilib->httpPrefix().$foo1; $smarty->assign('mail_machine',$machine); I should be able to parrot that like so: $foo2 = str_replace('tiki-login_validate','',$foo['path']); $twroot =$tikilib->httpPrefix().$foo2; $smarty->assign('mail_twroot',$twroot); but that just returns null for {$mail_twroot} in the email. Any ideas? {$mail_machine} returns http://domain.com/tw2/tiki-login_validate.php nicely, so I was just hoping to replace tiki-login_validate.php with null... Looking at it for the 10^6 time, I now see that maybe I can simply use: $twroot =$tikilib->httpPrefix(); //doh! but that still gives me null in the email to the admin. Maybe I need to declare or pass the new variable $mail_twroot somewhere somehow? nyloth: hi nyloth: priti was indicating that the site security.tw.o was down, it was down for about 30mn srishti: otabz: you here? yah yea yah, the security.tw.o site is up now. security site went down around 5.30am and we informed marclaporte and it came back up at around 6am marclaporte did not reply so we were told to emaile at security@tikiwiki.org marclaporte: srishti: otabz: /join #tikiwiki-monitor if any of you is managing the hosting of a tw.o site please meet in #tikiwiki-monitor /join#tikiwiki-monitor lphuberdeau: you here? yes nyloth: Sorry, not "Custom Home", but "Custom Site Header" is broken by style. Using
