which version are you updating from / how did you install? missed this one was a patient one hehe Great work on 2.0 devs! Looks great. Tiki is improving all the time and I've only been using it 6 months! Can anyone explain how how backlinking works? NightWork: Do you mean how the info is stored, or how to use it? (it's a pulldown menu of Wiki pages with wikilinks to the current page) I guess what I am most interested in getting the pages easy to follow with somesort of ordered format. I looked at categories, sturctures and backlinks and still dont know what the best way is I thought the orphan pages would be a great way check that no pages are left behind, but all my pages are orphaned. Nightwork, orphan pages are pages that are not linked to from other pages. Is this the case at your site? polom polom congrats for the 2.0 release everyone ! :) I have made several links from pages. But they still are orphan The _linked-to_ pages are listed as orphans? Hi all - Anybody know a fix for the FCKeditor toolbar doesn't exist error? yep, the pages that I have links too are listed as orphan. I used the regular link format of [link_address|Link Text] and the link works fine. But the pages are still listed as orphan NightWork: you have to use wiki link syntax, not external link syntax hi, all. is __==some-text==__ formatting breaking the definition list (so, ;__==la-la-la==__:bu-bu-bu doesn't work) a by-design feature or a bug of tikiwiki-2.0? pujib: afaik ==foo== is no tikiwiki syntax pujib: {DL()}__===la-la-la===__:bu-bu-bu{DL} works luciash: thanks a lot, that's what i needed (yes ==foo== is a typo, i meant ===foo===) does {DL} have some parameters? i could use them to reduce space between neighbour definitions which is too big oh, never mind, i got it how to use them correctly, that fixes excessive space any tikiwiki expert here? helloo hi Bilal hi ricks99_ ricks99_: do you know to work with TIKIWIKI ? sure. i can try to help helloo any tikiwiki expert here? hi Bilal hi Bilal Bilal: : I got your email. How are you? hi marclaporte marclaporte: glad to see you, just figuring TIKIWIKI out hehe I am glad you are looking into it lots to learn you had a look at our website marclaporte ? 1.9.11 or 2.0 for you? 1.9.11 not the latest one marclaporte: i will appreciate if you can have a look around Howdy is there a problem with the cvs mailing list on svn? s/svn/sf/ actually, none of the mailing lists are working on sf I receive svn commit messages every day I mean the archive it says it is either not archived yet, or no emails have been sent to it How can I find out what files were affected by a revision number in svn? svn log -v -r234 Hi all :) SVN: Commit by jonnybradley :: r 14185 /trunk/: [MOD] Added .cache to svn:ignore (dir generated by Eclipe PDT) polom kerrnel: : feeling better today? SVN: Commit by lphuberdeau :: r 14187 /trunk/lib/ (7 files in 2 dirs): [MOD] More info functions No my site is completely broken and no matter what I try to do to fix it, it remains broken I'm having to push out my upgrade indefinitely I turned off mootools and shadowbox (neither of which I ever recall activating) and suddenly I have a feature_pear_date disabled and an anon_contact disabled. My understanding was the pear date was for php4, so I don't know what's going on. Something's changed significantly with the templates or something else that I need to track down because I've got the left and right bars at the bottom of my page under each other. And my phplayers menu is gone. Does anybody know what the "programmer" tab is and why Workflow is now under it instead of Experimental? because it's for programmers and it's not experimental it works in production for many people non-programmers can't use Galaxia and they can be disappointed (I changed that) kerrnel, changes are expected in trunk... * rick thinks that the tab labels could be improved... Yes, but I am forced to use trunk because of the features I need in 2.0 why does nobody understand this? I don't want to use trunk. I'd prefer a MINOR feature branch in 2.0 based on a non-experimental codebase. But I can't have that, so I have to use trunk the whole point of using a dev branch is to do dev, something you have to live with if you use trunk anywhere close to production having minor feature branches on a 6 month release schedule is overkill I don't think we ever released at intervals shorter than 6 month anyway you might want to ask nyloth how they deal with it, because they handle custom stuff and integrate in trunk No use in me arguing my point. there are alternatives on your side, but we can't turn around the community to fit your schedule recommended reading of the day: Software Configuration Management Patterns yeah, thanks, I'll go read that hi all i got the install script to install all the oracle sql statements correctly now i need to debug the other files that seem to be going wrong. All I get is a simple error message in a template, is there a way to get more error information (such as which file gave the error?) CONGRATULATIONS ON THE RELEASE!!! :) :) tom, that's where the fun starts isn't it? ;) hi has anyone worked with moreneat.css much? i have a problem with "stacking" of the right-hand column over the main column in Internet Explorer...of course it looks great in Firefox Hm, doc.tw.o isn't running 2.0 yet... is there a tw.o or other TW site where I can try out 2.0's fckeditor implementation? I've got a page in doc.tw.o in edit mode, but I don't see how to make it show as WYSIWYG instead of wiki syntax not enabled on doc you can't go back and forth from wysiwyg to wiki at this time, which is why it's still in experimental we want doc to remain wiki so wysiwyg only outputs HTML? yes ack. Can individual pages be protected so that they remain wiki syntax? main issue is that FCK not only produces HTML, it produces bad HTML I don't know about that :( I would guess that if created wiki, it remains wiki that would be much better than if a wysiwyg-happy editor were able to destroy my wiki syntax pages rollback still works ;) some of them depend on modules and tw syntax tricks yah, but it won't do much for encouraging editing among users who hate HTML and wiki syntax that's why it was moved to experimental, we need a better solution in the feature list, it's in the experimental tab ok, it's not considered a ready-for-primetime feature more like use at your own risk, because it does work is there a part of tw.o that talks about this? docs? (guessing) nah, WYSIWYG section of docs is basically a stub wow so it looks like FCKEditor might be replaced in the next release? maybe not the next one still no good candidate out there bummer - i thought FCKEditor was gonna be the silver bullet for non-Wikitexters who wanted to add formatting hey btw has anyone else had any issues with viewing moreneat.css in IE? the right column appears stacked on top of the main column for me @nikh: i was excited about FCKeditor, too. And not just because of the name. haha yeah i almost got fired for suggesting the editor based on the name alone nice hi all, I had a rather silly sounding question about installations. I am about to install tw2.0. When there are new versions out (bugfixes and the like), do I just overwrite my tw directory and I'm upgraded? need to run an SQL update script too i presume there's a web interface for that? tiki-install does it ahh, i see, so I just run tiki-install again can't say if it will work on oracle hehe, yeah that's my worry... but i'll get to that when I get to that. I'm down to about 50 errors on the normal install are they getting harder to solve / more specific? yeah its also that the SQL syntax on the normal MySQL file gets more wonky the further down so I have to do more checking etc i'm still going to have to figure out how to change any and all long tablenames and columns that's probably half the errors at the moment can be hard to fix affects code as well how many symbols cause problems? exactly about 20 or 30 might be able to hack the driver to find/replace those specific ones like before the actual query execution yeah, and I think half of them might go if I do a general replace of tiki_ with t_ or something hmm that is an idea if you just truncate them, do you get conflicts? yes on some, things like "live_support_message_comments" the problem is that in oracle you need sequences and triggers oh, right, not fun so the easiest thing is to take the table name and add a letter for live support... you can ignore them safely you're probably not going to use that but that means you have "live_support_message_commentsS" and "live_support_message_commentsT" yeah, but while I'm at it, I'd like to get things working :) plus, if I can find an easy fix to that, I will fix related problems in say "content_templates_sections" and "tracker_item" both of which I want to use replacements could do it yeah, I have a ruby script already that looks for all occurences of case 'oci8': and adds in case 'oracle': in all the files of the directory i figure i'll just do something similar for the table names you can just patch the query function and avoid replacing everything everywhere is there only one query function though? should all go down to the same place in the end you wouldn't happen to know off the top of your head where? my guess would be lib/tiki-db.php although I may be wrong on the exact filename you can just as well download it from their website out of curiosity, who or what updates the main install sql script? or is it all commits? done before releases, or when someone feels like it could there be a warning somewhere to please keep one style of sql? well, if you could summarize what's causing you problem, we can update guidelines and review for it well, its just that if you look at the beginning of the file, and at the end of the file, the syntax is different, such as at first, nothing has `, then slowly ` start creeping in. Then things are FULL CAPS or not caps. Then things such as INDEX are used instead of KEY, and theres KEY something ('something') or KEY ('something') or KEY('something') or any other countless variations. So I guess I would prefer someone to copy the style at the beginning of t sorry, long rant can you email me these things with examples? sure lphuberdeau@tikiwiki.org is supposed to work, never tried it ok i'll work on that in a second take your time, probably won't look at it until tomorrow rightio SVN: Commit by sept_7 :: r 14188 /trunk/ (2 files in 2 dirs): [FIX] don't include cssmenu if they are not enabled SVN: Commit by lphuberdeau :: r 14187 /trunk/lib/ (7 files in 2 dirs): [MOD] More info functions SVN: Commit by sept_7 :: r 14186 /trunk/templates/tiki-admin-include-general.tpl: [FIX] hum... BPB for sylvie : missing table tag tr/td and capitalisation was missing anyone know where the captcha module for tikiwiki is? I can see that it's been implemented but can't find it in the docs. does anyone know the FIRST function that checks the database in tiki-index.php (inlcuding all included files) I see that Dynamic Content descriptions are in tiki_content. Where is the corresponding HTML? The tables with obvious names are empty, so I haven't found the right one yet. NM. Found it in tiki_programmed_content. SVN: Commit by kerrnel22 :: r 14192 /branches/experimental/kerrnel-2.5/ (2 files in 2 dirs): [MOD] Added a quiet option to plugin so that you can optionally display 'No articles.' in a page, or nothing if there happen to be none. please, anyone, I really really really really need a better debug than a "Tikiwiki is unable to coonnect to database" error at least which file?! really, all i need to know is WHERE to start fixing things for oracle. But I'm going CRAZY just trying to find out where to start. All I keep getting is an "invalid character" error. which is fine, if I knew what tw was trying to do please anyone, i'm really going crazy please? anyone? is there anyway to execute php line by line through a webclient? i am seriously begging someone to know anything about better debugging, line by line, or something, because I cannot find where in the world the error is being thrown pleeasepleeasepleeasepleeasepleeasepleeasepleease if you know, please email gmail: tkott.spam seriously, i'm begging
