SVN: Commit by bitey :: r 14531 /trunk/ (7 files in 4 dirs): [ENH] Moves a bunch of stuff from tiki-magic to magiclib; assignment of enumerations becomes part of the post-processing when a feature is selected, and enumerations themselves have been relegated to a separate include. Also widens the feature_type column, and tidies up some features. I thought if there were no modules in a column, the empty column wouldn't display, so the center column would expand into its space. Wasn't this true, before? Anyway, it isn't now, at my 2.0 site. I get an empty column when not logged in (modules in column are admin-view only).. I guess the filter checks for modules assigned, not modules visible to user. I didn't notice this before because I always had at least one anon-viewable module in each column. In trunk, white page after submitting a config choice in tiki magic (producing url like tiki-magic.php?featurechain=/1/3 ). Yay, in Trunk, gallery thumbs per row can be edited (bugged in 2.0) and can be done per gallery as well as global. Also. shadowbox works. :-) :-) Also, column display according to modules-viewable, not just modules-assigned, works. (That is, my left column has a registered-only module. When visiting the site as anon, the column is collapsed due to no viewable modules. In my 2.0 site, the empty column displays.) Is my 2.0 install screwed up, or are these bugs that are squashed in trunk? Good question - I did an upgrade and was asked about templates_c which does not appear in 2. Had to copy it from another source Yep, no templates_c directory in the Tiki 2 download. It starts out empty, but should be included probably. Any particular reaseon for the exclusion? well, empty plus index.php and .htaccess..... No, just an oversight, I imagine. Is it important and should I report it? Probably it's known already, but wouldn't hurt to file a bug report. The method of using the background image is changed. thus, when you add the header image title to the jpg, you don't add it in the middle, but on one side, so that it's displayed in the middle of the screen on the site... see: bg image, that's it. I didn't read the readme file again, I guess The wide background image is used in case wide content causes the kubrick rectangle to widen. Only the needed amount of the image shows, in narrow windows, etc. mmm, ok, I see I will make a doc page with illustrations, about the header and logo parts. (on the todo list ;-) ) You can use the Look & Feel options. just make a smaller logo and specify it on that admin page. But maybe the logo margins might have to be changed in css for an especially big logo. wel, don't worry too much about it, I guess new kubrick users first try to use the look & feel admin options, which make it much easier I intended L&F to be fully functional for these themes. If there's a problem I need to go back and improve things. no problem that I know if, so far. don't worry. And I confirm: my mistake due to not reading the new readme file. Fair enough for normal users (not so dump as me this time :-/ ) or new users For a logo like wiki-translations, it'll be somewhat tricky because the gradient needs to match. I image fine-tuning the top-margin in kubrick.css will be necessary. (assuming you will crop the current logo image so that only the logo itself remains.) mmmm, ok, then, and logo transparency when too much colours were used (like in this current wt logo) will make those problems rise up again: gif not showing all inside gradient in logo, and png not displying properly in IE6.... I think I'll leave as it is, for this time ("don't touch it if it works", and there is no wuick and easy solution to it) I wouldn't use transparency at all. I'd start with an image like your current logo (which has the header background gradient) and just crop it. Then place that image in the header via L&F and adjust the postion in kubrick.css. mmm, ok, I'll try (I'm already sftp'd there) (I think that new logo I made myslef I'll made them through gif & transparency with not so many colours....) If it's trimmed closely on the left and right sides, then it should center ok, I think. I've just re-cropped just logo and blue bg, and well, sort of works.... Hey, pretty good. But a difference in the gradient. I guess to be perfect you could start again with the current header backgrounds and add your text, in the graphics program. ok, I'll re-crop it with shorter right margin. And gradient: yes, that's what I told you. It's not that easy fittting it in the gradient iy you don't have the upper header bg.... I guess That's where the css padding and margin adjustments are needed, I'd say. The default values are just kind of general. Given that the logo image can be various sizes, it's hard to know what to set initially in the css file. yes, but I don't have the source image, and the workshop in Porto (http://wiki-translation.com/BabelWiki ) is starting in a couple of weeks: I don't feel like changing the logo too much .... ÇThat's why I say that next time if I make a logo myself, I'll do my best to produce it as gif with transparency and enough short list of colors so that it fits in gif (gif has not patent issues since a couple of years, afaik) (patent expired, afaik) oh well, there it is. Noticed you used a template for it. Was wondering which was the best way to approach it... Template vs. php? I would imagine there's a performance hit going through a template. Only concern I'd have is translation. perf hit can't be worst than anything else in tiki I like template ...but it is true taht it is slower the + with tpl is you can image to export into xml ... instead of csv you can? If you're exporting say 10,000 records and using a template, doesn't that linearly increase the performance hit where the script may take longer than the max execute time? Just wondering if exporting a large number of records is best served being done without a template. You can pretty much export to any format you want with the right header can't you? i think that optimisation must be done first in the tracker code - the tpl/code will be the last touch right now - exporting (when you have item list... ) is very slow The way I had it before wasn't too bad. I'd export about a thousand records in about 8 seconds. Records with about 30 to 40 fields each Maybe I'll just write it both ways and do a performance check on a large list of items. Does that impart something special? hello all, i have a question on tikiwiki 2.0 i'm using .htaccess file to secure my tikiwiki on the changelog.txt, line 22316, it says "fckeditor: for those who are using .htaccess files to secure their tikiwiki, html and php files in lib/fckeditor and lib/fckeditor_tiki need to be accessed directly" now my question is, what do I need to do in order to have "html and php files in lib/fckeditor and lib/fckeditor_tiki accessed directly"??? can anyone please help?
