guys anyone there to help me with my problem? Anyone successfully using the Multimdiea feature (new in 2.0) to play audio? For me, video is ok (loads and plays an .swf from file gallery) but audio displays nothing. SVN: Commit by chibaguy :: r 14603 /mods/trunk/Packages/themes-underground.info.txt: [NEW] Package file for Underground theme. polom polom I kinda wonder why links in wiki pages (2.0) with [url|linktext|noache] syntax show the cache link about half the time. See http://zukakakina.com/Theme_template_files . Same syntax used for all links. noache -> nocache chibaguy: half the time ? hi luciash. Well, roughly half the cases. On that page, some links have "nocache" and some don't. But the same wiki syntax is used for all. Is there a way to use {maketoc} with FCKEditor? I've noticed this nocache problem before in 2.0. In the Theme_template_files page, the layout is a wiki table and content is quite regular, so it's especially strange to see the "(cache)" instances randomly. If they aren't random, I haven't seen the cause for appearing/not appearing yet. Here's a simpler example: http://zukakakina.com/External_link_nocache_test I have "cache external pages" turned on, but want to override for some links. BTW, I wonder where the on/off switch is for "saved_msg=y". Is this "Version 1 of this page has been saved by...." message box not optional? hi Paragtim, no idea. What happens when you input {maketoc} when using FCKEditor? Nothing all all - It just returns the text. I have Content is parsed like wiki page: enabled and I was expecting that to solve the problem !!! Well, "experimental feature" ;-) Yep - I'm experimenting :) :-) Any tips on the templates? To fix that? No way, not me. Worth a shot :) chibaguy: sorry, was distracted by other stuff... i'll read your msgs now chibaguy: can you put more links on that test page ? chibaguy: i suspect it has something to do with upgraded sites... when the page was previously already cached and you put nocache link for it now, then it probably doesn't work... Hmm, on http://zukakakina.com/Theme_template_files, all the links are new, none were made at the site before 2.0. But what you say about old links might be true, also. Some links that I know have been used at the site for a long time get the (cache) while others, probably new, don't. (http://zukakakina.com/External_link_nocache_test) hmmm well, gotta go but will check back later. :-) hi anybody there? I'm here :0 thanks can you tell somehting about the score system I've not broke anything yet :) A little - not mush - Whats the problem how can I activate it? Admin Home - Features to start - More in a minute - just loading up or better, how can I add a certain amount of gratification to a specific action I wanna give some score points for loading up files into the gallery I have only tried this on wiki pages so it might not work Enable feature in admin home : Score in Admin Score change settings to suit okoh great this looks very good and maybe you could help we for a second time ;) The module that displays the info is a bit untidy but seems to do the job Standard disclaimer - Fire away what do you mean with that last thing? I make no claims as to the accuracy or validity of any response made by myself. I am an idiot practicing to become a moron and failing the exam :0 ok Is it possile to let users evaluate a File or a Picture in a gallery with e.g. a scale from 1 to 10 and to to give the user who evaluates maybe 5 points and to give the evaluated user points according to the evaluation (maybe 10 points for an evalation of 10) I don't know. I don't think it is clever enough to to that but maybe rick or sylvieg will be able to give you more info when they are around - sorry maybe this is a kind of karma or so but thanks a lot guy More than welcome do you know the aulawiki feature? http://mods.tikiwiki.org/details.php?type=features&mod=aulawiki a feature to create workspaces Have never used it k looking now Looks useful - But a long way off from my basic stuff i even got no idea how o install it but thats a question of my own effort not your problem hey all, are there functions to manipulate users/groups, like eg categlib for categories..? tikiwiki - try here - http://doc.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Mod%20aulawiki&structure=Documentation as a starting point thanks hello hmm.. bugger.. tikiwiki doesn't want to install mods.. says à 'Impossible to open ' and then a url... when i enter that in the browser.. works fine see you yop any hints on why tikiwiki can't isntall mods? plz open the fresh zip folder of your apache root folder and try to open.. Anup: ? iá'm getting a Impossible to open http://mods.tikiwiki.org/Dist/features-aulawiki-1.6.tgz : n/a why wait i am giving the link http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=64258&package_id=266122 latest stable version is 2.0 you download the .zip version anup, iá'm not following.. i have tikiwiki already installed.. and try to open it ok what's the problem ? trying to install mods through admin -> mods, but that fails.. with the above error.. i've been doing a packet trace and it turns out it is not resolving mods.tikiwiki.org prpoperly somehow.. that means you want to install module? yes how you download module?? and what module you want to incorporate?? through tikiwiki's admin user interface.. ok. i see where the problem is.. tikiwiki wants to resolve mods.tikiwiki.org, but is using the wrong nameserver for that.. you r trying on romote server..not locally tikiiki is on my laptop.. i restarted apache, now it does download.. apaprently apache and/or pear caches the dns server address somewhere next problem: big red screens complaining about failed database queries.. brilliant see tikiwiki module contains lot more files like .php, .tpl.. hmm so now i'm probably left with a half-modified database :( good thing i made a backup before even thinking of trying these, as tikiwiki is far from transactional you can see module on the admin panel module section dropdown just do one thing.. create a file like this namming convention "mod-articles.php" in module folder and it will come in your module dropdown from there you can assign it.. luciash, on a fresh 2.0 install, there are no unwanted (cache) links when [url|linktext|nocache] is used. So you are apparently right that it is a problem for upgraded sites. chibaguy: yep, thought so, but i don't know the reason why this happens unfortunatelly It is strange, though, that even pages that have never been linked to on the old site get the (nocache) randomly. Some funny confusion in the process somewhere. yep, funny :-p Gotta go again now but will be back later. did you also test on the fresh new install to change nocached links to cached and back if it happens then too ? hi people. i'm a little bit confused with the svn repos. there is mods/trunk/themes/ directory and a mods/trunk/templates directory which of them must i use for adding a new theme? hi wog, it's mods/trunk/themes/ thx and whats the purpose of the other one? I'm not sure; it's kinf of ancient. ah hm Maybe people made variants of templates; but they're way out of date now afaik. damian.css was removed from the head of tiki2.x ? Yeah, I don't recall the exact reason. Atually most of the older themes are going to be removed in the next major release. chibaguy: i'm working for a institut at my university, they are using damian.css and would like to continue using it. i had to do some mods for them in that theme. may i add it to mods/trunk/themes/ ? Yes, that should be fine. Do you plan to maintain it? well. uhm. not really ^^ Well, I imagine the point of putting a file in a repository is to facilitate maintaining it. as long as my internship lasts i'll maintaining it yeah, sure Do you have sourceforge svn access? but tiki is OSS right? maybe someone else will maintain it in the feature yes i have svn access afaik the damian theme is more up-to-date as most themes in that directory so it should be no problem i tested the theme with tiki 2.0. it works fine. Yes, most of the themes in mods/themes are old. I'm adding new ones, 2.0-compatible. Right, should be no problem. Hello all. Something else you might want to play with is http://zukakakina.com/tiki-download_file.php?fileId=46. This is a damian.css that imports tikinewt.css for the layout and adds Damian styling Was I imagining it or did 1.9 include a smileys bar for text areas (assuming "allow smileys" was enabled)? An idea for supporting old themes with minimum effort. Get the old look with modern *litecss layout. Darkbee, yes, smileys in 1.9. but not in 2.0? I only see the smiley bar for forum posts chibaguy: thx sure Darkbee, I've got smileys on wiki edit pages too, in 2.0. Maybe it's a wiki admin option? that's what I was thinking having a look now still looking Darkbee, found it on tiki-admin.php?page=textarea. But this covers all textareas including wiki edit. that option is on, but I only see the smileys bar in few places (and perhaps this is correct). It only shows up for comments, and forum posts not for wiki entries, blog entries, articles It's possible I'm just mistaken I can use them in wiki pages... just tested the sandbox but I' oops but I'm not going to remember that a smiley face is "()" Myabe I have to add them to quicktags? No, they should show up without anything else being done. Did you try changing the theme, just to check? ah ha you could be on to something there what should the transition style sheet option be set to? use version x or 1.9 if not specified? "never use transition css"? Doesn't seem to make a difference tried several themes although I still think maybe that's it oh well... no big deal thanks for your help as always chibaguy sure, will be back later. time to eat. SVN: Commit by sylvieg :: r 14605 /trunk/lib/trackers/trackerlib.php: [FIX]tracker: fix the description of item link and item list + fix the mb_substr test that is defined in tiki-setup_base Was just looking at doc.tiki and notice that some screen shots show smileys, so I'm not completely losing my mind. My guess is with chibaguy, that the custom theme I'm using has somehow messed things up (it's a customized tikinewt). In particular I was looking at this page: http://doc.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Blog+User&highlight=smileys which clearly shows a blog entry with a smiley bar, something I don't currently have even though smileys are enabled. Darkbee, transitions style sheets contain additions that may not have made it into the regular stylesheets. Wouldn't affect smileys showing up or not. You should check your site with a normal, uncustomized theme. ok, thx I did several but no change I tried Tikineat, Damian and Default2 When you made the theme, did you modify any templates? And if so, were they in the templates directory or in subdirectories? No... no templates...pure CSS only hmm is it possible that it is displaying...I just can't see it? perhaps I've inadvertently moved this smileys to an area off the screen or hiding under another layer? Well, you'd know your eyesight better than me. ;-) using CSS I meant! :) ah although my eyesight is not the greatest you can check the source of the completed page, in your browser. ...when you're on an edit page. Do a search on the page (source) for "smiley" no problem the plot thickens.... it just so happens that i have a handy-dandy version 1.9 lying around and it is working as I expect it to the smiley code is between the "admin categories" and the "quicktags"...right where you'd expect it. actually I lied... its after "apply template" not "admin categories". version 2 does NOT have this code in the source for a wiki edit page Well, Darkbee, my fresh 2.0 installation has smileys.... so I've messed something up somewhere could it be a permissions problem? (as a vague stab at what's wrong) Apparently, or we'd be hearing more reports of abducted smileys. lol I had to do a sketchy FTP install and browser based file manager my host doesn't offer SSH access for my type of account actually I have a 2.0 site hosted at home and I just checked and it has the same issue tres bizarre Can you compare the file structures of your sites and an uncompressed Tiki 2.0 download? Maybe a file is missing. I'll have to do that later because it will be easiest to do that on the home hosted Tiki 2.0 you can't do a compare with Filezilla I assume over FTP at least not an automated one anyway. hhhmm...actually FileZilla does have a directory comparison feature... I didn't know that SVN: Commit by sylvieg :: r 14606 /trunk/tiki-change_password.php: [MOD]log: add a log message when logged from change password Chibaguy - Is it possible to change the colour of the header for individual modules. For example Login - Blue, Online Users - Green? My guess would be not easily without template modification You mean the individual modules templates? you'd have to create custom css classes for each of the different color headings then modify each module template to use the appropriate css class I THINK... don't quote me on that but that's probably the approach that I'd take chibaguy might have an easier solution there is a pram in module bgcolor http://doc.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Module%20Admin&structure=Documentation#Module_Parameters Or... you could do what Syvie suggested and use module parameters :) Paragtim, yes, it can be done in css. If you check the source of a finished page in your browser, you can see that each module has a unique div. In the stylesheet you can make a class for each module and give it the properties you want. Sylvie even..sorry Can you mix and match module params and Css entries? oooh it works my faith in module parameters has been restored yes module params override the CSS Looks like I'm back on a steep learning curve again - doh!!! glad you didn't listen to me bgcolor=green works a treat and no nasty hacking around in code Ah good. And if the parameter isn't enough, the css is a fallback, for background images, if needed, etc. I think Tiki needs to start offering Certified Tiki Administrator courses, online. :) ...or css for text replacement, which I've been wantiing to try. (Stylish script or whatever for the headings. But I guess mouseover title would be needed for multilingual. (http://www.mezzoblue.com/tests/revised-image-replacement/) chibaguy : re: smileys issue, were there particular dirs you had in mind for comparing? Using the very simple compare on Filezilla the templates dirs are equal I'm not sure offhand what all is involved. templates/tiki-smileys.tpl, also the smiley images wherever they are. hey..interesting... just for s**ts and giggles I turned of the WYISWYG editor feature and the smiley bar is restored of=off turn it back on, et viola, the smiley bar, he go byebye EVEN if I'm in normal editor mode I know the WYSIWYG editor has it's own smileys could someone else perhaps confirm this behaviour? hi all :) Hello Got a spare Tiki you can mess with? :) spare tiki? lol.. I'm just kidding... kinda I've been having problems with the smiley bar on tiki edits it's not there it looks like the problem is the WYSIWYG editor if I turn that feature off the smiley bar is restored I'm wondering if this is an intended functionality to my mind the smileys function like quicktags and so should be visible if you are using the normal editor y. afaik, smileys is for wiki syntax only (and not if you're using the WYSIWYG editor y. quicktags for wiki syntax only yes... but even if you enable the WYSIWYG feature, doesn't mean you have to use it I use the "normal" editor by default and quicktags still display with or without WYSIWYG enabled shouldn't smileys have the same behaviour? you have quicktags avaialbel while in wysiwyg mode/ ? no... while in normal mode but the smileys aren't and they should be do u have smiley feature enabled? I've enabled smileys in the text area admin ahh.. i see. y. looks like a bug. smileys should be in wiki sytnax editor I would think so I Just wanted others to confirm it's a bug and not intended functionality or my stupidity let me look at the file... I didn't make the connection at first ... spent a while with chibaguy looking at other reasons why the smiley bar wasn't showing then I turned off the WYSIWYG feature just for a laugh and hey presto, got my smileys back... a fluke really yup. i see the prob. in tiki-editpage.tpl.... and apologies go out to French people.. I can't spell "voila" its true in other pages too like blogs I can see the smileys in comments and forum posts... but not blogs, articles, wiki pages (and maybe others) prob the same syntax error so I'm not going insane? should i Logged a bug on dev tiki? hm.. odd. looks correct in trunk. i just fixed in 2.0 head svn This is another lesson I keep forgetting: never assume people are using the same set of options as me. I forget all the permutations of Tiki installations. lol...no problem chibaguy... the permutations are unthinkable (and I think that's a good thing for the most part!) ...so don't consider things outside the scope of my own setup. anyone: is there a publically available tiki 3.0 (trunk) installation availalbe for testing? maybe one that is updated from svn on a regular basis? so, can I download the individual files/make the updates myself? sure. tiki-editpage.tpl ricks99__, did you try on de.tikiwiki.org? try.. ? I mean looking for the link there. They used to have 1.9 and head links Don't know if they moved up to 2.0 and trunk snapshots. don't see anything.... (of course i don't speak german).... Warum nicht? nope. looks like 1.9cvs and 2.0svn snapshots. so ... what am I editing? I see the line: {if $prefs.feature_smileys eq 'y'&&!$wysiwyg} change to: does it need a space? .... eq 'y' && ($wysiwyg ne 'y').... ah it was just checking to see if wysiwyg feature is enabled. needs to check to see if it is actually *activated* do I need parentheses? would be nice if there was a common 3.0 sandbox that was continually refreshed from head @Darkbee: i always include parens ricks99__, that's what 110.tw.o was supposed to be for 1.10. We need a 30.tikiwiki.org. ricks99__, have you tried running tiki on your pc? Sweeet... it works. thanks ricks99__ Yay, Darkbee's a coder :-) lmao yeah... 3.0 here I come what to break today! Muhahaha and I'm assuming I just need to do the same for other edit pages like tiki-blog_post Anyway, g'night everyone. I'm unplugging my pc before Darkbee takes over the internet ;-) have a good one and thanks for your time and energy now go fix the blogs & articles :) Sure. * rick has everyone fooled into thinking that *he* can code :) your secret is safe... just hope nobody is logging the chat ; ) I'm actually going to get some lunch. Thanks ricks99__ for putting this bug to rest and restoring my sanity. np "No records found" in several tables on http://doc.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Features good day all, I posted the following item at the Report a Bug site - TikiWiki 2.0: SearchBox Not Displaying for Anonymous Users - http://dev.tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_tracker_item.php?itemId=2010&trackerId=5 if anyone has any wisdom to impart does anonymous group have serach permission? hmm let me check group must have tiki_p_search to use the search feature ricks99__ - THANK YOU!! can't believe i didn't think of that...missing forest for the trees i guess easy asnwers are my specialty is there a reason why tiki-searchresults.php is missing from 2.0 svn? ??? I have the file svn info tiki-searchresults.php -> revision 14498 hmm.. ill try again... not on my local PC. when i do an update, it doesn't download? hmm.... Error *PROPFIND request failed on '/svnroot/tikiwiki/!svn/bc/14609.... SVN: Commit by sylvieg :: r 14610 /trunk/ (2 files in 2 dirs): [FIX]tracker: better managment of list_mode ->new a param to TRACKERLIST odd. fixed now. tx sylvieg The "Wiki help" on my edit page says that "+" does indentation. Doesn't seem to, and I don't see it mentioned in WikiSyntax doc page. And, of course, I have a document which I'd like to indent. Is there a DIV or TAG for indentation? it indents from a list *foo +bar "bar" will be indented to match the bulleted item "foo" Hmm. And I was trying to import a document using existing numbering scheme. OK, maybe I'll just have to attach it. works with numbering too #item +indent see docs: http://doc.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Wiki-Syntax+Lists&bl=y#Text_Continuation I meant an organization's particular pattern of 1AbIII numbering format. So I was trying to indent to match the original without renumbering to match TW's scheme. i think u can simply modify the css for the speicific numbering scheme with the list-style attribute list-style-type: decimal, lower-roman, etc. Yeah, but I'm sucking in documents from several sources. Maybe I'll create unlabeled indentation DIVs. k Hello Folks. First let me say thanks for your efforts in developing and maintaining this tool. I've checked forums, faqs, docs and .php files for the answer to this simple question: how do I hide/show the post form in forums for V2.0? Probably a simple answer, but I've looked for hours and can't find it. ! doc.tw.o Features mostly missing. http://doc.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Features&bl=y I believe you'd have to set the appropriate permissions and use groups, to make a particular forum "read only" Is that what you're trying to do? Not looking for read only, simply want the user to be able to hide/show the post form. It tends to busy up the presentation of threads, imo. ah ok Maybe CSS tinkering? Don't know how you'd then allow posting if the form was not visible. I don't think there's a built in option to do that... like SEWilco2 said, you'd probably have to edit some CSS and templates to create a hideable post area. If you're up for that perhaps you could look at how it's done with the Wiki comments (as they are hideable) This was a feature in previous version see http://doc.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=Forum+User&bl=y a little more than halfway down the page, there is a pic that shows form w/menu saying show post form/hide post form/RSS feed/Forum List/Edit Forum. Hiding the post form makes for easier reading of threads. Then user simply hits 'reply' to open the post form. Then I'm afraid I don't know the answer, sorry. Somebody else might be able to help. I'm wondering if it was a feature before, why isn't in now? Or am I missing something? could be a theme issue sometimes different themes cause things to "break" I was just checking on my site and I can't find an option that does what you're describing Interesting. It's in the link that I posted earlier. It's also a pretty common forum feature. that could be an old screen shot It might not have been removed in the latest version but it might be broken it's possible I'm just browsing the code for the view thread page If you find it, please point me to it. I'm very new at php, but interested in learning. I looked at the tiki_view_forum_thread code earlier, but couldn't find it - probably due to my inexperience. well I'm not a developer either :) It would be good to get ahold of the version that used that feature. I can tell you that it isn't 1.9.11 the prior version Hmm. I wonder what v it is. I just think that having the post form always open is kind of cluttered. I think the keyword is "openpost" or "set openpost." I'm using Dreamweaver to search the whole directory. Unfortunately, I have to leave. Thanks for the replies, if I learn anything, I'll post it on the forum. Out. k tiki 2.0 installer will not continue because templates_c directory doesn't exist - how should I proceed? create the folder can anyone provide me with an SQL query to access the items in a given tracker? i have looked in tracker_items, tracker_item_attachments, tracker_item_options...don't see anything but the numeric equivalents of the info in the tracker_items table to access what in the item, only the itemId? sylvieg - basically to access all the data - ie, i imported a csv with a set of data - 750 rows of company name, industry, etc... it is for some reason not displaying in the tiki-view_tracker.php page, but it says there are 750 items... you have an import csv in 2.0 sorry .. ok.. the status perhaps it is not correct hmm - is there a format that the csv needs to be in? i just used a csv with a set of standard headers - company name, industry name, etc yes but if it imported the items - the format was ok i got the same situation one day because the status was empty and it must be o c p - if you can check in the database ok, I just switched to a new template, and all my pages are blank
