But when I edit again, it's ^Cfoo^C.  And those are *literal* control-c
Ah, I see from looking at tikilib what I'm supposed to do.
Still, the internal conversion is wrong; that's the escape for single quote.  :)

I cannot install any mod :s
for instance, trying to install mailman mod, I just get :
thirdparty/tiki-mailman.php to tiki-mailman.php impossible to rename
if anyone has a clue...
(the problem is the same for all mods)

I also tried the mailman mod some weeks ago, but i did'nt get it up, it seemed to be very old

the mailman module tgz doesn't even contain tiki-mailman.php ...
The problem is that you have to do something directly on the server before you can install mods
if you do not have direct acces to the server (via ssh, telnet,...) than you have a problem

seems the file it's trying to move doesn't exists anyway
since it's not even in the tgz package !
I think this mod is broken.

I think 4 years is a very long time on the net, so the mod had to be updateted to several new tikiwiki versions, new apache php etc.

yes it is totally confusing the version numbering, but version 1.9 got renamed 2.0 at release time. Now the dev version is called trunk and 3.0b1 !!

o so it looks like the .tgz file that contains all the files for the plugin is missing the flowplayer.js file - we need to get hold of the developer to get this file, unless it is a standard pert of flowplayer, just checking ...
it is just a config file so we should be able to hack a solution for you.

MatWho, I noticed the flowPlayer.js was spelled flowplayer.js in the mods package info file. Maybe this was the cause of the error. (The file is there.) I corrected it.

Hm, I don't think you need to have Packages locally. 
As far as I know, it just stores info on mods and as accessed by admin mods. ??
(and is accessed by.....)
But I know that when a theme or wikiplugin is added to mods, an info.txt file should be added to Packages with appropriate path info.
chibaguy: ok so just for my general knowledge about mods, lookin through the code it downloads the mod tar file from mods.tw.o - how does your fix get from mods/trunk to that server?

The phpfreechat mod has a whole lib/phpfreechat/lib directory that its Package file doesn't contain paths for, so it doesn't get transferred (if I understand things correctly).
