is theme switch module broken on trunk now ?
doesn't switch at all on my local copy
works for me
hmm, in the magic "Available styles" allows only one option, not multiple themes as before
under "Reg users can change theme"
it's correct there, there's multiselect to restrict available themes
i thought you fixed it sylvie
wasn't it on trunk ?
the magic stuff for available styles is bugged ... the styles are frozen in the code....

he removed the last quote
sylvieg: can you investigate more pls ? i have to do some household stuff here now :-p
... I know nothing on tiki-magic...
ok, i'll re-enable the user access again, seems he contributed to tiki-magic before too, seems he just forgot to remove some debug stuff containing the bitches :-p but imho there's an error
anyway

hi all
is there an (easy) way to show categories on search results page? tried adding {$display_catpath} to the searchresults.tpl, but apparently not that easy :(
i guess... no easy way...
the categories of each result?
hello
installed the 2.1 a few days ago with the basic enabled profile. Works great.
y. i want to show the category for each result (if it is categorized)
SVN: Commit by bitey :: r 15109 /trunk/ (db/features.csv lib/admin/magiclib.php): Oops. Debug messages/missing quote
ricks99: it is not collected in the search result ... so needs some code
would be nice to have a search admin option to specify which types of information to display on the results (category, catpath, fretag, last update, etc.) similar to the List configuration settings for other pages
yes - but it is a lot of job - as we have 2 search tools :-(
y

hello all, I just posted the following item on dev.tw.o regarding a bug with categories, if anyone has some pointers...TikiWiki 2.0: Categories Page Cannot be Found? http://dev.tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_tracker_item.php?itemId=2069&trackerId=5
is it a server error or a tiki error?
sylvieg - looks to be a server error, but it just appears as "Page cannot be found"
usually i look for some type of could not connect etc, error, but do not see it here
check in your server error - perhaps you will find more details
@nikhilodeon: are you getting a actual 404 error?
what is the actual code your browser is returning?
ricks99 - yes; there is no code per se; in Firefox, the browser tries to download the page as if it's a .pdf / external object, vs a php page
then in the FF Download Manager, there is the tiki-admin_categories.php file, with 0kb
SVN: Commit by sylvieg :: r 15115 /trunk/lib/trackers/trackerlib.php: [MOD]tracker: some optional params
only happens with tiki-admin_categories.php?
correct - i can get to tiki-browse_categories.php fine, and all other pages on the site
SVN: Commit by sylvieg :: r 15116 /trunk/templates/tiki-view_tracker.tpl: syntax
i am trying to take a look @ the server logs to see if that reveals anything
check if you have other error - sometimes if you have a timeout - it can mess up witht he file type..
ok - have any of you encountered this type of behavior before?
try replacing the tik-admin_categories.php with a known good copy? maybe the file is corrupt?
ok - and unfortunately the server admin is out today so no luck getting those logs...
is there a way to get the base .php files for tiki-wiki? i tried accessing http://tikiwiki.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/tikiwiki/trunk/ but the link is not available
should b able to grab from svn
http://tikiwiki.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/tikiwiki/trunk/
ok i am getting it now
re
dito
:-)
:)
SVN: Commit by sept_7 :: r 15118 /trunk/lib/search/refresh-functions.php: [FIX] fix call to HTMLPurifier_Encoder now use static method...
yuck, still getting that same old behavior...man i wonder what is causing it...
SEWilco: I do not get why you change the command in http://doc.tikiwiki.org/tiki-index.php?page=File%20Gallery%20Config
some are not working anymore
the strange thing is, when i replace the contents of the tiki-admin_categories.php file with "hello world" the file displays fine....
how would you approach displaying a powerpoint presentation in a wiki page?
i guess there isn't such thing as a pp-viewer mod, like there is for freemind...
maybe powerpoint -> flash conversion?
yes it will be my choice
are there free tools to do so?
(i hate my colleagues for even using powerpoint, even more for wanting it insertet into a wiki... this is, imho, against wikis nature)
you can use save as windows metafile and import the list of files
that will be a bunch of images then, right?
my people won't like that, they love powerpoint mainly because of the animated slides... *sigh*
yes but mon macromedia flash import all the files in a click -
s/mon/my
*g*
you will loose the animation with this method
... godd luck - even to find a payed soft that works
iSpring sounds good
i'm going to test the free version later
thanx for your input though
it's good to know that that wheel hasn't yet been invented over and over again :-)
I used PresentationPro - it is a very very bad product
if i don't find anything easy and free tonight, i'll tell my folks to use OpenOffice and its swf export ...
no anims either, but then i wouldn't like to encourage pp usage anyway :-)
is the openoffice converter dealing with the animation?
nope
openoffice is no more than images either
if you find a good tool - please tell me - I am interested to know
LOL
iSpring is a PowerPoint addon
i don't have powerpoint, so that one's down already
(though it reads promising)
sorry to bring up again, but wanted to see if anyone had any more ideas re: the mystery of the 404 with tiki-admin_categories.php...i have tried restoring the file from trunk, replaced the contents with "Hello World" and see it appear, etc...no access to the server logs currently
link again is http://dev.tikiwiki.org/tiki-view_tracker_item.php?itemId=2069&trackerId=5&show=view
of course you emptied all caches after importing?
yep - you mean via the tiki-admin_system.php page, correct?
yep
nikhilodeon: using FF?
FF = Firefox
attempt to access the page (tiki-admin_categories.php). then, in FF, select tools > error console
anything reported?
hmm - lemme check
nope - no errors...in FF, it's odd - the browser does not exactly return a 404 - rather, it tries to download the file as if it is a pdf
review ur .htaccess file. see if any "special" directives for that file
also, try renaming the file (e.g., tiki-admin_categories_foo.php) then try to access the newly named file
actually i do get errors, but they are just .css warnings - i highly doubt those would prevent the page from loading
do you get the same errors from IE as well?
the css errors? in IE, i just get the standard "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" error - in ie 7 it looks like you can't display more meaningful server error messages like you could in IE 6
there is something in ur server setup that is prohibiting the proper display of that file (right? It is only that *single* file that is causing problems?). try renaming the file & attempt to access
ricks99 - thanks for the suggestion - i did rename the file to tiki-admin_categories_foo.php, and get the same experience with the new file
hm...
sorry. out of ideas :( need to check the logs
no problem - i appreciate your help - this is a real head-scratcher - has anyone ever encountered a similar situation?
ie, w a page not loading even though it is in the correct directory, and not returning a php / mysql error msg

anyone know how to get debug output for ldap?
put some trace in lib/pear/Auth/Container/LDAP.php
i'm looking at it right now and there are debug calls to an AUTH_LOG_DEBUG. where do i find that output?
?
hello I need help i would like to add a new category on my top menu please help =[
hello?
top menu?
Is this a public site?
why don't any of the options i enable after installing (search, calendar, blogs, forms) show up in the sidebar menu for regular users? they're only there for regular users and i don't see any obvious "enable for all users" option for any of those apps
hey sorry
yea the top menu
i have created a store and want a button on the horizontal menue for it
hello
?
anyone please help?
A store.. so a specific URL?
Koios: I haven't used the horizontal menu, but in Admin>Menus you can create custom menus.
re
yes
koios: Then in Admin>Modules you can configure where modules are to be placed. Custom sidebar menus have to be created at the bottom, then can be placed.
i am checking
i want it on the top menu not the side
is there a way to make the flash plugin take the flashmovie from an attachment?
I haven't used the top menu (phplayers, I think provides it), so don't know how to customize it. I've only used the phplayers side menus.
yea looking at admin menu area and find it difficult have not been able to utilize it properly for weeks now
i am actually tryint to alter features so that in place of the aricles feature i am making a store one
mac|jaeger: Doesn't the flash plugin want a URL? Doesn't the URL get saved when yo right-click on attachment's link and "Save link address"?
doesn't work for me
but maybe my swf is broken upon upload
i just figured i can't view it by clicking the attachment either
Koios: The instructions at the top of tiki-admin_menus.php indicate a horizontal menu can be configured there.
ouch
my attachment downloads broken
checking now sew
Koios: The existing "application menu" is automatically created. You can create a custom one and disable the default one except for Admin users.
mac|jaeger: Your attachment file, or will no attachments download? Either way, I express sympathy.
hehe, thx
the attachment is garbage after download
sew where can i find this? admin- than what?
i'm now checking if this is limited to the flash file i uploaded...
mac|jaeger: Perhaps do you have TW compression enabled? I hope that wouldn't interfere but "garbage" implies that something happened.
Koios: Admin>Menus
i just checked, but no, i have not. actually the file gets more than two times in size!
Koios: In the sidebar menu, under "Admin" look for "Menus"
mac|jaeger: TikiWiki, now with twice your content!
:-D
as long as it isn't 3500 times that...
mac|jaeger: Try attaching a little text file and see what happens to that.
mac|jaeger: Let us know if "a rose by any other name" appears on its own.
will do, but first i'm going to check on some settings
marclaporte: You able to assign bugs? SEWilco can be assigned Bug 1816, as I'll be implementing EXIF within weeks.
OK but it does not add a link to my top menu =[ but yes i can make the page
Koios: The instructions at the top of Admin>Menus say how to include phplayers menus. Try adding your new menu next to wherever you emit the top menu (I don't remember where that is defined).
SEWilco2: logout and back in. You should have the power
Koios: : if you use default menu, make sure users have the appropriate permissions for calendar, blog, trackers, etc because it only shows menu items (ex.: add article) to people that have perms
SEWilco: it seems the up- or download mangles all non-characters
i could upload a plain text file ok, download as well.
SEWilco: : way to go for EXIF!!!!
but once i added german umlauts the txt-file got broken
marclaporte: Client has a pile of photos. I'm too lazy to type in descriptions by hand, so I'll let EXIF create them.
i'm uploading to database, will switch to upload-folder now
mac|jaeger: You just answered my next question.
:-)
i didn't have these problems a few days ago
yesterday i updated to the lasttiki-zip
any recent work done in attachments and/or database code?
mac|jaeger: Must be due to global warming.
ah.
yes.
why didn't i see this first?!
mac|jaeger: The faith is strong in you, so it's not due to the usual loss of faith. Usually loss of faith causes corruption and your server turning brown.
:-D
Koios: If your new menu doesn't appear where you expect, remember to clear the TikiWiki caches.
mac|jaeger: You can turn your server on for the next 11 years. Global warming is on break during this solar cycle, but for some reason Man will be considered to blame when the Sun is again hot.
Just budget a sunshade for the server room in 12 years.
ok, now i have another problem: the file uploads fine to temp folder, but than can't be moved to /files/attachments (which i created and chmod'ed to 777)
SVN: Commit by sylvieg :: r 15123 /trunk/ (2 files in 2 dirs): [FIX]fgal: can delete default file handlers+ a friendly trim
ah ok
now _that_ wasn't global warming
that was my fingers getting cold and typing atatchments
*g*
*sigh*
one mystery solved
999 others to go
ok, file storage is fine
so obviously the problem is in database insertion
As you guessed, the umlaut suggests a character set conflict between the browser, TW, and database.
well... but there should not be any character conversion when storing binary data to the database, should it?
I don't know what needs fixing. There is a TW page someplace on UTF which implies there should not be a problem with DB config.
True, it should be getting stored as binary. Maybe TW/PHP is getting confused about what is incoming.
Oh, but it gets stored OK as a file.
right
and files already in database are fetched correctly
That suggests a problem in the PHP/DB interface. That's all I can imply from the situation.
thanks for your diagnostics, doesn't help me much, but at least i know that the problem is beyond my workstation... :-)
mac|jaeger: You could try downloading a stored file, check it is OK, then upload it to DB under a different name, just to confirm your DB is acting as it used to for that file.
i'll have to pile that task, right now i'm late doing what i was doing in the first place: uploading a powerpoint file, converted to flash
LOL
now that silly editor is eating my embed tag
