Probably you can use the Category plugin in a wiki page, to get something like that.

minichat is missing an admin switch in Tiki 2. You have to modify you database's tiki_prefences by hand, by adding a row with "feature_minichat" and "y".

Yes, you can change it in styles/darkroom.css. I didn't test the theme with the live help.
I don't know offhand what CSS selectors are used.

FWIW, I don't notice any text contrast problems with live support in the Darkroom theme. But I can't get the operator to be online. When I click "be online", nothing happens (I stay off line). The client window seems to work ok. (All in FF3.)
