It is possible to strukture the file in sections... 1. translation for the general translation, the sections for module, like tracker, blog etc... probably. i don't think that the order of items in the the language php file matters. but, don't you think that A-B-C order would be better? This way you can easily find duplicates. it would make it easy to see if terms (or similar terms) were already translated especially considering that most terms appear in more than one "section" yes used in more then one section we found many items But when we translate the file we often need the kontext of use... I am not an admin at the site considering switching, so I have no idea never used SMF as an admin before claireducky: See if the SMF documentation is online. we have some csv import but not for all features searching now we have a couple of wiki, tracker, user importers in a csv format or xml format but if you have no export in this format... I saw that, and the users list can be put into csv the main thing they are concerned with is the forum posts it is a very active site with a few thousand members, there are about 3 years of posts on the boards we have a forum import - I never use it we have a xml wiki page importer - and as forum post = wiki comment - it must be easy to adapt ok I don't need the specifics at the moment, just trying to help them figure out if it is feasible or not for them to convert I love my TW, and they wanted to go to myBB until I recommended TW instead there is nothing out of the box with forum but if you have a xml form of the forums should not be a big deal to adapt the wiki xmp importer s/xmp/xml is that something I would post on the script request board when we are ready I am not confident enough in my skills to adapt it myself I will go for the devel mailing list for more response - and there is a list of consultants to hire oh excellent now you have to find out how you can export the data fromSMF i am reading the SMF forums it appears you can export the database somehow they have a few bridging tools for other CMS platforms (we have no forum exporter in tw yet) yeh but the database it will be hard because you have to know the structure that is not semntic kerrnel22 began the forum importer from a database - I never look at it - perhaps you can contact him directly or ask what is this feature - perhaps it is only a trunn feature Yeah I saw that post I think well, I appreciate your help sylvieg I need to run for now, but I will stop back in with more questions another time, I'm sure :-) thanks!
