cnd: Hey - I don't have svn access - but I found a small fix.
Add the following:-
RewriteRule ^(.*)(&)(.*)$ $1%26$3 [NE,N]
Immediately above this line:-
RewriteRule ^([^/.]+)$ tiki-index.php?page=$1 [QSA,L]
In your .htaccess file, and any pages you've got with an ampersand in the title will then work properly on Apache2
marclaporte: cnd: let's get you svn access
cnd: not just yet - I'm still too fresh
quiestion: there's 4 versions?
1.9 2.2 3.0b 3.0b1
marclaporte: http://dev.tikiwiki.org/How+to+get+commit+access
3 versions and some experimental
cnd: Lets say I want to fix something - do I have to fix it in 4 places?
marclaporte: no
http://dev.tikiwiki.org/Where+to+commit
depends on the fix
in general, it's in trunk
cnd: Some bugs that I'll commit after I'm sure I know what I'm doing include: creating internal links to graphics erase the graphic. renaming pages double-escapes the name. adjusting some admin settings one one page disables some settings found on another page
Ignore me for a while - I'll study the doc and then ask any questions later if I can't figure it out myself. don't want to waste you time.
marclaporte: internal links to graphics erase the graphic?
cnd: Yeah - create a page, add a smiley, then try and make the smiley link to some other internal page.
goodbye smiley.
marclaporte: hahahaha

cnd: Naturally - this happened to me in the middle of a demo to 40 people ... grr...
marclaporte: cnd: did you try this with trunk?
maybe it's a too aggressive security protection
cnd: No, sorry - had to make a functional live site in 24hrs - so I stuck to 2.2 as this seemed safest.
The problem seems related to the internal link feature - you *can* link a smiley if you make it an external link of type "<other>" and URL /Pagename
The internal link system seems to want to convert the entire link into a text object - haven't investigate it yet tho.
marclaporte: what syntax did you use to make it disappear?
cnd: WYSIWYG editor (sorry - shoulda said that at the start :-)
marclaporte: ahhh
experimental is the WYSIWYG :-)
cnd: I'll find that bug and swat it eventually. Probably also need to convert the page creation stuff so a javascript warns when categories are mandatory - too many people click "save" and don't notice that it didn't save.
marclaporte: things have changed quite a bit between 2.2 and 3 (trunk)
So I suggest you test trunk before trying to fix, and you can just backport if it's fixed.

cnd: 3.0 wouldn't run on my RH box, so I have actually installed Suse 11.1 for all this - but I ran out of time to test the 3.0 stability before deployment, so went with 2.2. Now that the site's up and training is finished, I might clone 2.2 to a test server and try out a 3.0 upgrade - if it works OK, I'll do it again on "live".
Then - when I fix bugs, I can more easily put them back for everyone.

sully_sensei: anyone ever used the inter tiki set up? I'm experiencing difficulties with it and could use some help
luciash: sully_sensei: i didn't set it up, but we use it for almost all *.tw.o subdomains
sully_sensei: so there's for sure someone who ever used it :)
sully_sensei: okay, so perhaps you can help?
first...let's say i'm logged in to "tiki-master" and then I click on a link to "tiki-slave" I won't have to relog in right?
luciash: you have to login if you don't use the remember me feature but the slave sites share the login credentials of the master site, so you have to register on the master first
well, if you use the same remember me domain name (for cookies) then you can login just on the master and on the slave you should be logged in already then
sully_sensei: okay, then is there a special way to import users from the master site to the slave one?
luciash: you shouldn't need to import the users
sully_sensei: i've followed the instructions and i can not seem to log in to both.
luciash: if the intertiki is properly set up it automatically shares registrations from the master
sully_sensei: when I log in as "admin" to the slave site...and I look at the users there is only one....Shouldn't there be all the users from the master
luciash: i'm not sure, have you tried with different registered user ?
to login to the slave
sully_sensei: yes....it says "username invalid" so I must have set it up wrong...hrmmm
luciash: yup
sully_sensei: so this is where I need help....grrr
luciash: i'd recommend to go through the steps once again, maybe you just overlooked something
sully_sensei: I have...three times....grrr...okay...do you know the "intertiki shared cooki for sliding auth under same domain" box should be ticked or not?
luciash: it's not mandatory
sully_sensei: okay, i'll declick those...and go through it again...Thanks...Oh. and one other thing..
luciash: unique key must match, we have ticked "Import user groups"...
sully_sensei: what about preferences
luciash: it's not mandatory to make it work either
on master intertiki client must be "No"
sully_sensei: okay, then perhaps the ip address is incorrect..is there a way to check what my ip address is
yes, everytime I try to click "no" for the master intertiki client and hit save, it resets to "as master"
luciash: oh, i forgot to ask your TW version :)
you can get your IP by pinging your site
ping your.site.tld
sully_sensei: Tikiwiki v2.2 -Arcturus
luciash: (the slave site)
sully_sensei: how do I Ping my site (sorry i'm a bit of a noob)
luciash: from command line
or use some on-line tool
sully_sensei: ok. i'll try that..
so back to the master intertiki client "NO" problem...I think that may be my issue..
luciash: http://whatismyipaddress.com/
http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=my+IP
sully_sensei: THANKS....you're REALLY helping me and I do appreciate it
now, just got to figure out where I went wrong...
luciash: np, hoping it helps :)
i'll have to leave in 10 mins though
sully_sensei: okay, pinged it...now that was correct...grrrr so the only problem is still that "intertiki master" being set to "NO"....
any ideas on that?
luciash: on the master site *intertiki client* has to be set to No
then under Intertiki Server enabled must be ticked
sully_sensei: okay, thanks for all your help!
i'll give it another go and I do appreciate it

Manolaris: I am trying to install Tiki in a small web space. I have 110 MB of storage space. I have installed tiki but I run out of disk space very soon. I have deleted al LANG directories except en-uk, en and es, which are the languages I need to use, but I would like to know which elements of tiki are not neccesary if I am not going to use them, and which files I could delete from the tiki directories then
.
And also, I would like to know which is the minimum stroage space needed to run Tiki properly. Is it enough with 110 MB (actually just about 90 can be used by tiki)
Than you very much for all

I'm facing trouble with multitiki and automatic db upgrade on tikitrunk
and I don't know how can I do a manual upgrade, when the automatic process fails....
lphuberdeau: are you around? ^
I mean, can the manual process be performed by just running all the single sql files that I see on ./installer/schema , to upgrade a db from a trunk site installed in november, and upgraded to latest trunk?
sylvieg: sh doc/devtools/sqlupgrade.sh ... I think it works on multitiki
Manolaris: you can delete lib/galaxia too if you do not use it
Manolaris: Thank yoy sylvieg, ahy other tip please?
inside lib folder I see a lot of directories, seem to hold plugins and stuff but I dont know which are essential to tiki to work, any suggestion?
xavi: thanks syvlieg, I did run them all by hand
(I know for next time)

it might help other people like me... testing trunk from time to time, in case they can't use either the tiki-install.php script
cheers

xavi: hi again
quick question. how are you supposed to upload an image to a wiki page in Tiki 3.0 (trunk)?
I see how to upload a file, but not how to display that file as an image on the page... I wonder which is the theoretical process to do it in tiki trunk
***: navster has quit IRC ()
xavi: sylvieg or luciash , how can I make that the subtitle, in "Admin > Look > Site Logo and Title", allows more characters?
"Site subtitle", I mean
I see that this is stored in column "value" at tiki_preferences
sylvieg , should I change the table somehow (at mysql side), or some param at some php or tpl file?
I want to write "Estratègies de Transformació Comunitària Sostenible", but it doesn't fit (!). Shouldn't it be allowed longer strings in that place? (site subtitle) - using tikitrunk

xavi: btw, sylvieg , I'm trying PluginMediaPlayer on trunk and the param style (according to http://doc.tikiwiki.org/PluginMediaPlayer ) doesn't produce any effect
I tried style="normal" and style="max" or style="multi" and I saw no difference in size (too small, I guess shown as "mini" on all of them)
I must leave. Have a nice weekend
