   cnd: Hi - does anyone know where to get a linux version of PHP with everything needed to run v3 (trunk), and what options to use to compile it?  (for example - how do I turn on that non-default MBSTRING feature v3 uses?)
   chibaguy: cnd, I wonder about that "non-default". Trunk runs on my run-of-the-mill hosted domain (linux) as well as my laptop with maybe 2-year-old wamp package.

   cnd: hosting services roll their own PHP versions to deliberately include features (and thus cut back on support issues/requests for those features...)

   cnd: I've only tried SuSE 11.1 - not any other modern distros yet - so it is also possible that Novell are to blame, and have actually left something out
