luciash: : is tikinewt.css going to be kept?
[01:17]
luciashno idea
i haven't touched it since... dunno when
[01:21]
marclaportein thenews.css, the top menu no longer breaks since your fix
it use to break/overlap when the menu was very large
and now, it's clean
[01:24]
luciashhmm, you mean is it bad or good ? [01:25]
marclaporteit's excellent [01:25]
luciashah :) [01:25]
marclaporteyou fixed more things than you intended [01:26]
luciashstill i found some issues when the menu is too large
e.g. menu 42
[01:26]
marclaporteyes, that is what I have on one site
since your latest fix, it survives much better to menu 42

[02:38]
chibaguyRemove references to what?
chibaguy comes into conversation late...
[02:40]
luciashhi gary
remove references to check if site identity is enabled
or ?
marclaporte: ?
[02:41]
chibaguyso it's on by default? [02:42]
luciashyou meant only obsolete links ?
marclaporte: ^
:)
chibaguy: it's on by default anyway now, so it's not already necessary and becasue it doesn't render anything anyway just to check for it but only check for the subfeatures/preferences
[02:42]
chibaguyOk
so remove checks for it in templates?
chibaguy considers another cup of coffee....
[02:45]
luciashchibaguy: that's my guess, maybe marc meant something else ;) [02:49]

[03:23]

If they love table layouts, then tikineat. ;-)
[03:23]
luciashchibaguy: must be that :/ it runs nicely on marc's remote desktop ie6 [03:24]
chibaguyBut actually the tikinewt css is pretty horrible, basically tikineat with minor adjustments.
Ok, great, then. (but not so great for my test ie6...)
And my old laptop with real ie6 install keeps spontaneously powering off. Not good.
[03:24]
EnksIs ver. 3 stable? or is 2.2 what people use for the most part [03:26]

Enks, I'd use 2.2 right now.
3 is looking good, but has some issues still.
if you mean for a live site...
[03:26]
EnksAre {iframe} tags available in 2.2? Says there's no {iframe} module. [03:29]

[03:29]
chibaguyyeah, last time I checked, strasa's right column was out of place (too wide right margin) in ie6.

i've just removed site identity check from tiki.tpl but what if someone would like to not render the site header at all ?
[07:43]
chibaguyyeah, that used to be controlled by the Top Bar check. [07:45]
luciashwe have optional sides, #footer but not #header
luciash doesn't see any check in tiki.tpl for that
[07:45]
chibaguyMaybe just one preference check on displaying that div (#header)?
I believe in the new *litecss-based themes, div#header consistently contains the site header stuff including the top bar menu.
[07:45]

*check

chibaguyOh, in the L & F options? [07:51]
luciashi don't know if there's the preference name still

R|SKHi there, how do i set up an internal link in a wiki site? [11:00]
chibaguyR|SK, afaik, you have to use the external link syntax, like [tiki-view_forum.php?forumId=13]. [11:13]
R|SKOk, than I'll do it like this. Thy. [11:13]
chibaguyIf there's a better way, maybe somebody else can say.

luciashcode indentation ?
so nomore "no changes - indentation code only" ?

sylviegstrange idea to change {section to { section [14:54]
luciashbut this one is not in templates/tiki-admin_menu_options.tpl is it ? [14:55]
sylviegno this in tiki.tpl [14:55]
luciashit's in tiki.tpl [14:55]
sylviegIs it you?
I can not see the detail of the big commit....
[14:56]
luciashyes, it looks a bit strange but it is only way to preserve the indenting as it should be rendered in htnml, because if smarty code is indented then it adds unwanted whitespace (tabs) in nested smarty conditions which are then reflected in the rendered html
diff on the file with previous revision should work
[14:57]
sylviegPersonally I do not like { section}
firebug gives back the right identiation - so I do not see why
it is hard to read in the tpl now
[14:58]
luciashi do not like it too, but it's only way i know so far except ading {strip} {/strip} in between every smarty syntax which i don't like even more
do you know a way how to strip whitespace between smarty tags but not html tags ??
[14:59]
lorincoutputfilter? [15:00]
sylviegwhy do you wnat the html to be correctly idented? [15:00]
luciashnot everyone uses firebug
it's matter of cleanly rendered code
[15:00]
sylviegyes but if you complexify the tpls for those that do not use firebug - bad idea
I suppose we need a vote on this one...
[15:01]
luciashnot like doing ctrl+U and getting "uh oh, what a mess !" ?
what does complexify mean ?
[15:01]
sylviegit is hard to read - my emacs does not know anymore how to ident that.. [15:02]
luciashyup, we need more besttemplatespractices rules
oh, use vim then ;)
[15:03]
sylviegsylvieg dreaming abouit roll back the 17546 commit [15:03]
luciashsorry, just kidding [15:03]
sylviegI suppose vim will have the same problem [15:03]
luciashit's hard to satisfy everyone, we need code titdier or something which would remove smarty whitespace
nope, i use vim and it looks perfect
;)
i don't know why emacs have problem, it's just t inside the smarty brackets
do as you wish, i feel tired
[15:04]
sylviegyes but when I add a lien after it begins at the 1 column not at the supoposed column [15:05]
luciashroll back if you wish
it's just in this file
[15:06]
sylviegI do not know how to roll back not the last commit... [15:06]
luciashjust few delete keystrokes on the tabs ;)
and you have your rollback
[15:08]
