two issues:
1. need a way to include the user map (from tiki-gmap_usermap.php) into a different wiki page (without my having to write a custom plugin?)
2. why does the user map list users by login instead of 'real name' (i have the "use real name instead of login username" option enabled on admin: general)

what did you have in mind?
Here is situation. 
1- We have hundreds & hundreds of issues
So many that some get lost
lost in time, lost in space
When there are so many issues, people don't check if it's been reported before
or they check, don't find, and enter a dupllcate
we used to have a huge mess
now it's better thanks to the use of categories
and right-hand list of keyword pages
One day, we could have some more intelligence, that as you write a bug report, it suggests similar issues from what you are typing
but for now, that's not possible
so...
I just made "feature" field mandatory
But there are maybe 20-30-50? tracker items which are uncategorized and thus, pretty much unfindable
they don't appear in any of the keyword pages
and only in search engine
So they are lost
What we would need.

so far i've been closing out bugs that are pretty old and solved / outdated / no longer applied

Also - and important - why do I not seem to be able to add comments on doc.tw.o? The meta tags config page seems to be a little behind compared with the actual screen.
Okay - editors more than bystanders - read that. The thing is - I can see it is wrong, I can add that I know there are extra options not yet covered, and name them, and what I think they aught to do.

JS? we didn't add any specific thing for JS, just using FLASH plugin. Isn't it enough with TED flv videos?
no. if u look @ the TED source, they use JS to pass variables to the flash player
